"Arlington Plaza was very nice and well-kept. The apartment was a nice size. The eating area was good. The staff was very nice. They engage with the clients there. I didn't observe any activities, but I saw a list of the activities, and it seemed like they had enough to keep your interests."

"We toured Asher Point Independent Living of Arlington. The food was very good, and the staff and the people who lived there were very nice. Everyone was friendly. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. They did answer all our questions, and we didn't have to wait. We had an appointment, and when we got there, they were ready to show us the facilities. We had lunch, and it was very good. It was fresh and warm. We didn't have to get it or anything. It was brought right to the table. The facility was pretty good. The place that they showed us was too far away from the dining room, but other than that, it was nice. It seemed very clean."

"I'm in Emerson South Collins. They have a lot of people in here who should be in assisted living, but that's my personal opinion. What I like best are the people and the staff. Everybody's friendly. They look out for each other. The staff is also very caring. It's institutional food. The structure is old, but they're upgrading it constantly. They're getting ready to start again on the third floor. Every morning, there's a coffee and conversation. There's an exercise. They have seven activities a day. They have a book club, bingo, card club, and dominoes. I like my room. It's great. I have a one-bedroom, and it's perfect for me."

"Brookdale North Richland Hills was beautiful. The staff was very knowledgeable. They gave me a lot of different avenues to try to get my mom taken care of and get someone out to assess her. They're still checking on me because my mom is in an inpatient rehab facility, so they're just waiting. It's a large community and they had lots of activities to keep them busy like exercises and stuff. It's amazing."

"Lived in a patio home for 4 years and enjoyed every minute of it. The home was spacious and comfortable. Full kitchen, laundry room, separate dining room. Large 2 bed 2 bath with HUGE CLOSETS, large living room, and a lovely front porch with a small front yard. Large enough for my flower pots. yard art, and Christmas decorations. The staff run by Nancy is Excellent as is Jenelle the concierge, Hector the chef, every staff member was dedicated, kind and knowledgeable.. they organized and ran so o o many fun programs everyday. Thank you all for your dedication in helping Senior live their better lives."

"It had all three levels of care, but I visited the independent living. They told me that it was only built five years ago. It was good, but the rooms were probably average. I saw the dining area. They had three meals a day and there was a snack area where you could pick up snacks any time of the day. For the size of the facility, the dining area seemed to be small, but they told me that if you would go for independent living, you can eat in the assisted living dining room as well. I met one staff member, and she was friendly. She knew what she was talking about. It looked like an apartment building. It's four stories. It seemed to be clean."

"Windsor Court Senior Living is simple and clean. My father's room is good. It is just a regular room. They didn't have bathrooms in it, which I appreciated, because when you have a memory care person such as my father, who doesn't know where a bathroom is anyway, why are you going to want to walk them from one end of the facility all the way down and into their room to use their bathroom? This place has two bathrooms right close to the commons area, which is also fairly close to the bedrooms because it wasn't a huge facility, and so I appreciated that because it's more practical and makes more sense. They train on a regular basis in memory care. So, they appeared to be well trained and they have plenty of staff for what's needed, ratio wise. They do different activities. They keep them clean, they take them to the bathroom and they make sure that they're fed. The biggest thing was that they literally would sit with the residents let them talk and ask them a couple of questions even if the answers weren't what the questions are, but they're at least engaged. I was just looking for a staff that's engaged with the residents. I don't care that they don't do beadwork because he doesn't know how to do it anyway. I was not there when they were feeding them, but my wife was and my mom was there also. They thought that the food was very good. It was perfectly fine and it was just good food and they served the dessert and my father ate it up. He didn't seem to have any problem with that. So, the food was great as far as they were concerned. The thing that I liked about the place was that it was smaller. We think it has to be frilly and fluffy or look at how nice my decorations are or look! I have marble on the floor, but does it matter? Absolutely not. We just need a clean and caring staff that's going to take care of them through the end of their life and that's how I would rate Windsor Court Senior Living. It's nothing fancy. It isn't. It's a smaller dining area and it's a smaller living room area, but they need to be able to keep track of them. My father's a wanderer. He has his type of Alzheimer's, the one that is sundowners, so he just gets up and walks and walks, and he'll just walk around the room, pushing on the blinds and touching everything time and time again. If it's a big facility, where is he? How are you going to find him? They were the best priced, too."

"Mariposa is a very nice place and brand new when I moved in. I have a two-bedroom apartment with a living room, a kitchen, and a dining room area. The staff is very nice. We have bingo, crafts, get togethers, birthday parties once a month, and Bible study."

"I'm on the waiting list at Mariposa Apartment Homes At South Broadway. I like that facility. It's nice. It's pretty much what I ran into at the other facility. The problem is its vacancies. It's not that old, and it's well-maintained. I saw nothing discouraging. There's no trash or litter. However, the staff started out a little annoyed when I came in. But then after I acted annoyed back, she behaved herself."

"The top reason why St. Francis Village appealed to me was that it's much more affordable than most of the places I had inquired about. They have a unit of apartments (one level only) and numerous cottages (duplexes). I looked at the two-bedroom cottage that had a carport in it and they've got a little patio in the back that can be fenced in, if I need to, for my dog. It's just the perfect place for me. It's located close to Benbrook Lake and there's one area where you can see the lake from the Saint Francis Village campus and I felt like there's more outdoor independence there. The staff was very nice and very friendly. It was great."

"My mom will be moving into Aviva Fort Worth. The staff was very friendly. The apartment was well-maintained. It was secured. They offered a lot of activities. The woman who did the tour with us spent a lot of time with us and answered all of our questions. We toured two times. She was very patient and showed us multiple things, sometimes the same thing over and over, till we could make a decision, set us all down, and helped us make decisions. They don't serve food."

"Amelia Parc Apartments is a beautiful place. The front looks like a fancy hotel with a water fountain out front, rocking chairs like at Cracker Barrel House underneath an awning so that people can sit in the shade, and a swimming pool. The maintenance is exceptional, and it’s kept very clean. Whenever my mother calls, they’re there the same day. They bend over backwards to accommodate her needs. When she moved into her apartment, they had freshly painted all of the walls; cleaned all of the cabinets, refrigerator, microwave, stove, and dishwasher; and laid brand-new carpets. When she came in, it was like walking into paradise. She has her own private storage, and they have patios, balconies, and large windows that let in plenty of light. The rooms and the condition of the apartments couldn't be better. The facility is very friendly, very workable, and very courteous. The residents are very pleasant, very quiet, and smart. I noticed some of the old guys in their walkers and wheelchairs conjugate out front. The staff pick up her trash twice a week, so she doesn’t have to go anywhere. The elevators always seem clean, functional, user-friendly, and operating fine. The doors don’t slam on you nor shut real fast there. They work well for seniors. "

"I am in the Villas by the Lake. I like everything. The people are nice. The staff is very helpful and nice. The apartment is roomy. It has two-bedrooms, one very large bath, and a very large living room. They have several activities. They have social, dominoes, choir, bingo, movie nights, billiards, potluck, and poker. They have quite a few things. "
