"My mother-in-law is moving here. It's right next to our house, and it's exactly what she needs. The place is clean. It's modern. The staff was very friendly and seemed to be very helpful. The rooms were nice and they're willing to accommodate Mom with the things she needs. You just bring your own furniture in, and it's a studio. They have an activity room in the gym, and that was it. There is a courtyard, but I don't think anybody goes out there."

"My parents are well taken care of in Brookdale Tanglewoods Oaks. The room is more like an apartment, so they feel at home with all of their belongings there. I like it. It is close by my home, so after work, I can stop by on my way home. They play card games, listen to music, and play games on the TV. They seem to enjoy it there. I like that it is affordable and close to home. "

"Brookdale Westover Hills was very nice. It looked wonderful, and I was thoroughly impressed. It was new and modern. The lady was very professional and spent quite a bit of time with me. I was just very impressed with the whole place. I looked at a studio room, and it was very nice. The place was very clean, and it was very new-looking. "

"I've got a friend whose parents live at Oxford Glen at Grand Prairie, and she very highly recommends it. I would give it a 5 based on her recommendation and based on my own evaluations when I visited there. The people were caring for the residents. It was a lovely facility with views out the window. They had a garden area for the residents to actually be able to garden on their own. I know there can't be a person for every resident, but each and every person there was involved with the residents during the visit, and I have stopped by at two or three different times of day because I wanted a true evaluation of all of these facilities. If I could, I would have put my mother there. I highly recommend it. The only thing they needed to improve on is when I walked in the front door, there was not somebody there to greet me, but I sat there and waited a few minutes and every person that I saw was with residents, and to me that's not negative. That is a positive because they care so much for the residents that they tend to neglect the front area."

"We stayed at Chisholm Trail Estates for one year. The general appearance was kind of shabby and well-worn. The staff was very friendly and the food was good. We had bingo, movies, crafts, and music groups that would come in and perform for us."

"From what I saw, it was just wonderful. They took really good care of mom. They constantly had people watching them, and it was a wonderful situation for her. The staff was very attentive; if you needed someone, they got there really quickly. They were very good to the family also. They would always have snacks and drinks. I just couldn’t say enough good things about them. They were really good, and it has a homey feeling. There were sitting areas like a living room with chairs, a TV, and a little dining room. It wasn’t the main dining hall, but it was the area that you could sit down with family members to eat, and they would serve the family meals. It was a really wonderful situation. It was probably the cleanest one I have ever been in; it looked immaculate. The eating areas were just immaculate. The people were cleaning a lot, and they did it in a time I didn’t see. It always smells good. I walked all over this place, and I did not smell urine. "

"I visited Isle at Watercrest in Mansfield and it was impressive. They have different levels of care, and the staff I met was really nice. However, it wasn't as convenient for us, because it's a little more out of the way and wasn't quite as cost-effective. It's a nice community overall, and I also like their activities. They don't have an all-inclusive price, but levels of care instead. It's a plus that they have skilled nursing inside the community. So if you need increased care you can get it from the same place. I didn't find other places like that except in this community. Mario, the staff member, was great. He was the sales person. I have met him before. He knows the people and he's very nice. He's a big plus as far as I'm concerned, because he watches over some things and is easy to work with."

"It was phenomenal. They are the best, and it would probably be the only one that I would consider having my parents go and live in. It was a great community. The apartments were really nice and very modern. They have wood floors throughout, which was not the case as for the others that are carpeted. They also have a wonderful courtyard, an atrium, and access to an area where pets could go in and out via a pet door. It was just amazing, and it just felt like a home."

"Good Life Senior Living is a small community with, I think, only 30 residents, primarily focused on dementia and Alzheimer’s care. My loved one has been there for a few months, and so far, we are pleased with everything. There’s a lot of personal attention, and the girls that worked there paint her nails, brush her hair, and interact with her on personal level, which we really appreciate. She apparently loves the food and is eating now more than ever. It’s always clean, and I have never seen any problems. "
