"I liked Santa Fe Trails a lot. The only thing that kept me from there was the distance. The one I chose for my father was much closer to my home, so it was much more convenient. It seemed very homey, and it would be comfortable being there. The memory care -- which is what I looked at -- had a smaller dining area, which I liked. As far as activities, I toured this place in such a short amount of time that I really did not see anything. I saw people milling around, but I did not necessarily a lot of activities."

"Heartis Cleburne was beautiful. The staff was wonderful. Dad wanted to move there but just couldn't afford it. There was one thing about the room that was available, it did smell of urine. Other than that, the whole facility was really beautiful."

"I will move into Wilshire Senior Living, which meets my requirements for space and amenities. I'm living in a 1,850-square-foot cottage with an attached two-car garage. It's more like a home than anything else. There are 32 or so cottages around a huge pond, and four of them are large like mine, and I have one of those four. The staff was great. They were perfect, and I still interact with them whenever needed. They're very responsive and professional. They have three meals a day, seven days a week."

"My mom is at Elk Creek Senior Living. It's close to where I live. It's excellent, and everything is good. She has been there for a couple of weeks now. The food is good, and there are good choices. Its layout is one of the reasons we chose the place, it's in a U-shape and it's small, and there's always staff by the front door, too."

"I just really thought that Mustang Creek would be a better fit for my dad who has dementia. They have individual group homes with at most 14 people in it, and I felt that that would be better for him instead of somewhere that had 30, 40, 50, or 60 people in it. It is a beautiful facility. It is new and kept very clean. The staff is very nice, and I haven’t had any issues with any of them. I feel that they are a little overworked and that they need another person in the home. They have 2 staff members in the home during the day and one at night, and I feel that there needs to be another one in there because they seem overworked. We stayed a lot up there with my dad, and I’ve felt like, sometimes, they could have spent a little more time with the residents, but they just did not have it to spend. So I think they actually need a little more help in there. I did not see a lot of activities. I was disappointed because it was my understanding that they were going to have church services on a Sunday, and I am not sure exactly why, but they don’t. Maybe they just have not been able to locate someone to do it yet. The cooking is fine, it is good, and they cook every meal. They are always willing to give snacks if the person is hungry, so they will do something in-between meals if they need to. They have an area out the back where the residents can go and enjoy the sunshine, which I like. "

"Our experience at Covenant Place of Burleson has been great. the place is one floor, and my mom is right down from the cafeteria. They bring her meals if she wants to eat in her room. The food is good. They keep up with changing sheets, doing the laundry, cleaning her room, and giving her medications. Her room is fine and is big enough for a bed, table and chairs, a couch, two night stands and a chest of drawers. They have been cooperative as far as when we request something. They've been very good. They have a lot of activities like church services, Bible studies, Walmart trips, going out to eat, and social get-togethers."

"I liked the staff that I met at Heritage Place Assisted Living and the things that I observed. The residents seemed to be very pleased and comfortable in their accommodations. Everything looked very, very good, very clean, and very organized. There was a lot of tremendous open space. There were areas of socialization as well as an area where they all were interacting in, meaning that games were being played and staff were working with the members playing along with them. The staff was very kind and very patient. They seem to interact very well and the residents seem to, in turn, respond to the interaction in a positive manner. The landscaping was nice. There were lots of windows. It was comfortable and very well lit."

"I toured The Grandview of Chisholm Trail. What I like best about it is that it's brand new. It's very nicely decorated and very clean. What I like about it is that it's huge. The staff seem very interactive with their clients. They knew all their names. The food was very good. They have many options for each meal. You had a choice of 2 or 3. It was a formal dining setting with crystal. The residents there are at a much higher level. The dining area has a wide open area with multiple small tables. It's very nice."

"Bethesda Gardens was the one we visited. They had a lot of good features, and they had good access like for a wheelchair, but the prices prohibited it right at the moment, and there was no apartment available. They had an excellent dining area. I liked the accessibility and their programs. While we were there, they had an Elvis impersonator and a show for a bunch of them. They had 3 meals a day which were very good. "

"Private room and bathroom , lovely shared living area for residents to come together to visit, watch movies, or enjoy entertainment, and nice library area for games, puzzles, and crafts. Care givers love their residents and treat them with warmth and loving hands. Compared with other facilities, what drew our family in was the home feel and very fair pricing."

"They have quite a few floor plans in the assisted living section. The Assisted Living Director Joe is also a nurse and is terrific. He is knowledgeable and calm and a good communicator. The Activity Director Raul is so wonderful with the residents. He is kind and patient and fun. Broadway is good value when you compare to all that is available in FW. My auntie was in the Independent Living side for 6 years before moving to Assisted."

"I would definitely give Highlands Village five out of five stars. They were able to find an outpatient therapy facility once my father left the hospital, and they were able to put us in a rented room until we could get his belongings moved there. Whenever he was released from the hospital, we actually were allowed to come back there with hospice care. They made everything so incredibly easy for us, and they're so incredibly helpful. I cannot say enough good things about that facility, and my father loves it there. Unfortunately, when my father went to the hospital the first time, he was not able to return back to his own home because of his physical condition, and they made the transition from the hospital to their facility basically seamless. I don't know of any way they could have done anything any better than they have and continued to do for him. I haven't eaten the food there, but he really likes it."

"Mirabella Senior Living was very good. The gentleman that showed us around was an excellent guide. You could tell that he really cared about the residents, and he wanted to make sure that everything was taken care of. The place was very clean. The rooms there seemed to have a little more room in them and a few more options. They had activities like bingo, bible studies, and group activities. The sanitation was also excellent. They had more dining options. They had a little bistro cafe and a little convenient store where they could buy snacks and stuff at -- more than just the dining room. I would recommend them. "

"The tour was very pleasant. The lady who gave us the tour was very patient, answered questions, and was very nice. The place was very clean and very homelike. They had a garden. The outdoors was pleasant and you could be out there. The layout was good. I liked outside of each room, there was a personal space for the tenant living in there to decorate their door, and set things up outside to personalize their room."
