"My husband will be moving into Heritage Place Assisted Living in memory care. When you walk in, it's nice. Everybody was friendly. The lady I spoke with, Susan, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She has in turn contacted me a couple of times since to follow up. She's very good on the follow-up. She walked us through the back and introduced us to people and showed us where he would be. Like any facility, they're going to have to repaint the room because somebody just vacated it, but it wasn't run down. They had nice little areas like living room areas for people to sit around in and converse and visit. They had a very nice back porch. Also, it was close to the Spinks Airport and my husband was in Naval Air, so that's something he would enjoy watching the planes. I don't know about the food, but the chef came and met us and he brought us cookies, so those were very good. In memory care, there are not a lot of people, which is good. In the area where he would be, there's maybe a maximum of 35 people, so it was a more homey atmosphere. It had little living rooms and the dining area, there were tables set up. I like the fact that they can get flavored water and coffee and any of that kind of stuff throughout the day that they want. Some places don't offer that."

"I toured The Grandview of Chisholm Trail. What I like best about it is that it's brand new. It's very nicely decorated and very clean. What I like about it is that it's huge. The staff seem very interactive with their clients. They knew all their names. The food was very good. They have many options for each meal. You had a choice of 2 or 3. It was a formal dining setting with crystal. The residents there are at a much higher level. The dining area has a wide open area with multiple small tables. It's very nice."

"We toured several communities, and decided on Bethesda Gardens Memory Care for Mom. Devin answered every possible question we could think of and offered extra information. All inclusive is a plus. When she gave us a tour, we could see that the Common rooms were spacious, bright and very clean. As were the residents rooms. Of course Mom was confused but the staff do an excellent job of interacting and reassuring the residents. Our family so enjoys talking with them as well. We visit Mom every day. We know she is cared for and safe. She is more animated and stimulated being around others. She enjoys sitting outside and looking at the beautifully landscaped garden area. Food is good and plentiful. Activities are varied and fun. Her favorite is the baby animals they bring in. We are very grateful to the staff at Bethesda Gardens and for all they do. I so highly recommend this caring facility."

"Very clean, caring facility that has small number of residents. Fully staffed with experienced caregivers. Food is well prepared with the main meal at lunch. Small footprint of the building accommodates mobility challenges. Definitely the nicest assisted living facility in Granbury!"

"Everyone from the staff to the residents are happy and busy throughout the community. Numerous different groups & activities for residents to participate in. The apartments were roomy, clean, and well updated. Beautiful, secluded community in the middle of Cityview."

"We are amazed with Courtyards at Lake Granbury. I had seen the outside, and I thought it looked like a nursing home. However, when we went in, oh my God, my mouth dropped. I've never seen anything so beautiful. They have a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom. We got a two-bedroom. They showed us the library and the laundry area. They have a place where you can sit and visit with your friends. They have church, and then they have another place where they have crafts. They have three courtyards, and they are all beautiful. They have a dining room area. You have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In your room, everything is brand new. We have a microwave and a refrigerator, because they don't allow stoves, but we don't cook anyway. The place is gorgeous. It is beautiful. They have everything you want. They do your laundry and they put out your trash. They come down and clean your apartment once a week. They have a nurse there to take care of whatever you need. We have big beds, and I thought I had to downsize and get twin beds, but the rooms are so huge. I can bring my bed plus have extra room. They're big and beautiful. I can bring my computer and everything. Then they have a little bus to take them to Walmart and to the doctors' appointments. They have a place for hairdressing, and you can get your hair cut there. They also have therapy. I would recommend them to anybody."

"My mother is in the independent living area. She has a nice one bedroom apartment that is spacious and has a fully equipped kitchen. There are plenty of activities she can enjoy. It is apparent that the staff really tries to keep the residents engaged and active. The meals are well-prepared and there are multiple choices to select. We have eaten with her a couple of times and were pleased with the quality and serving size."

"My mom moved into The Cove at Waterview's assisted living. We chose them for their activities, the meal options, and the staff. Those were the 3 things that really stood out. They've got weekly things that they do, like last week it was "Seniors Gone Wild." They have baseball watching parties for the Texas Rangers baseball team. They've got meet and greets and happy hours. I think, at some times of the year, they have bus trips outside too. I have not tried it, but my mom has told me she likes the food. The staff has been very friendly, very informative, and they all appear like they really like working there. They've got multiple rooms that they can have activities in. There's an exercise room, and they've got an in-house physical therapy person. They also have a library, a couple of the bigger rooms have TVs available to watch movies or sporting events, and the place is in really good repair and very good upkeep."

"My parents moved to Highlands Village Senior Living. They got the second to the smallest room, and it's very roomy. The ceilings are high, so it makes it feel bigger. We're able to get both of their queen-size beds in there with the little loveseat. So far, their services seem great. They've only been there since Tuesday, so there's a little bit of adjustment and growing pains type of thing, but they've been very kind and tried to go out of their way to help however they can. They have bingo, card games, puzzles, and exercise. They have prayer services, church services, a movie theater for watching movies, and more. The dining area is top-notch. It is beautiful, and they have assigned seats. So, they're familiar with where they're going to eat every day, and then they get to select their own menu for the next day. So far, the food's been good."

"I toured recently for my Mother and was blown away by the hospitality. We were offered a lunch tour and then once they found out how much she loves to get her hair done they invited her to a spa day! The special touches shows me that they care and will go the extra mile."

"My parents moved into Mirabella Assisted Living. What I liked the best was the friendliness of the staff and the calmness. They were very friendly. It wasn't chaotic. They all seemed to be getting along with each other. The residents seemed very happy. It seemed like they had a relationship with the residents. It felt very homey. It just felt like it was a community, a community that cared about each other. The dining area is wonderful. We have eaten there twice. Once, we ate there while we were filling out paperwork, and then, the other time, we ate with my parents on their first day, and it was excellent food. They have plenty of activities, and something happens every day. I'm very pleased with the activities and the things that they have. I love their apartment. It's better than any apartment I've ever had when I was single. It's not a carpet, it's a floor, which I like better than carpet. Floors are easier to take care of. They don't smell after a while, especially if my parents become incontinent. It's a wood plank-type parquet floor. It's freshly painted. Everything was fresh. They have a full-size refrigerator. They don't have a full kitchen, but don't need it because they're provided meals."
