My brother has moved into Mustang Creek Estates - Burleson and he loves it. I'm very pleased there. We like the way it feels like a home. It's not like a facility and he gets more one-on-one attention in a smaller group. It's just a better fit. The staff is great. I have no complaints. He's only been there a few weeks, but so far it's going well. He says the food is good. I've been there while they've been eating or they've been preparing the meals and it looks and smells great. He has no complaints about the food. Everything's in good shape. The furniture and everything looks new. It's freshly painted. They put a new carpet in his room before he moved in. I didn't see any maintenance issues at all. They have new appliances in the kitchen. They have several activities a day and he's been participating. It's the best of all that I shopped.

My mom lived at Mustang Creek Estates - Burleson. The thing I liked best was that there were groups of small buildings. Each building had ten rooms in it, and so the number of people in each building was small. She did have a shared room. So some rooms were shared and some were more private, just single. The max that could be in each building was 13, so it was small, and I like that because they would be able to get a little bit more attention as compared to a big facility. The day staff was excellent. There were only two people per shift, that was my main complaint. There are two people on the day staff, two people on the afternoon to early evening, and two people on the night staff. So, during the day it's more difficult. They were great though, even though they were more busy than the other two shifts. They were doing the meals and taking care of the residents. The afternoon shift was a little bit more slack and the night crew was just slack, period. And I guess it was slack because they're thinking, OK, they're in the bed, they're asleep, blah, blah, blah. They didn't really check on them as much as they probably should have. So that was my main reason for moving her, because of that overnight staff and the afternoon staff. A church member would come in and they had services once a week. They had other outside people, like they had groups that could come. They will go in and sing songs, like youth group type things. They had a guy that came every other week who brought a dog, a pet, like how you see comfort dogs that veterans have and things like that. He would come in and bring the dogs so residents could pet them. They had different events. They celebrated holidays, too. They did the 4th of July. They would bring them outside and do a barbecue, things like that.

We went to Mustang Creek Estates - Burleson. The place was nice and clean inside and outside. The upkeep was just really nice. The tour guide was professional and the customer service skills were good. Everybody was just so friendly. They opened the doors and they were so helpful. I enjoyed that. We didn't eat there. It was like 1:00 and we had already eaten. But the staff was in the kitchen cooking, and he gave us a box of cookies. He said they always baked cookies all the time. And they did. They had cookies baked and had the menu up where you could see what was coming up for dinner. This is just a nice place.

I would give zero and advise to Avoid this place for your loved one. My loved one passed away there. He was unable to move himself and I was told “that’s not my job” by several employees to assist in his care. He passed away at 3:00 one afternoon, his death was not imminent I was called on my way to visit they didn’t know how much longer he had. Very unexpected. When I arrived he was unconscious. I was never told and they have refused any information as to when he was found unconscious, had it been during the night? Did the person that was to feed him breakfast find him? Who found him in that state? No answers, they say they don’t have to keep records? Really someone dies and you don’t have records of what happened? He was there less than 2 months. Very high turnover of employees.

I liked the facilities at Mustang Creek Estates-Burleson. I liked that they had several different houses. They have up to 14 people in assisted living and they live in one house. It's got a common living room, a dining room area, and a common kitchen. Then they each have their own bedroom bathroom suite going kind of like in a semicircle off of that kitchen. So, I liked the way that it was set up. I liked that I got to talk to some of the staff and they all seemed very nice and very caring towards the other residents that were there. They answered any questions that I might have and they seemed attentive to the other residents that were there. They were cooking lunch when I was there and it smelled delicious. They do activities with the residents they have, like bingo night, puzzles, and movie nights. When I was there, they were cooking Chinese food for lunch to celebrate Chinese New Year. They also do day trips, like a one-hour trip to the Walmart or they'll take the men out to lunch, and then the next week, they'll take the women out to lunch. It just seemed to me like they offered some activities that my mom would like and they have a lady from a salon that comes in weekly. They did not have a pool. They have chaplain services on Sundays. I like it. My mom's never been a person to go out and socialize and be a part of different clubs and everything. She's more of a homebody, and this felt more like home. I think she'll like it. The facilities are beautiful, very well-kept, and very clean.

We toured Mustang Creek Estates - Burleson for assisted living. When we got there, the grass hadn't been mowed in a while. Weeds were growing up, so it didn't look very kept. Everybody had their bedrooms, but it was more of a group home. It's a house with several bedrooms and the care staff does the cooking there. Their pricing was all-inclusive. We seriously considered them. It's just a very loosely done assisted living. I think it's for a high-level assisted living, someone that pretty much takes care of themselves. They did have around-the-clock staff, so that was good. It just didn't seem like there was any oversight as far as what was going on. I looked in the kitchen because it's right off of the living room and it's an open plan, but it didn't show like the city inspection thing. I was a little uncomfortable with how they were doing their meals. I think it would be fine for the right people. It wasn't a good fit for my father because he would need more hands-on than I think they were prepared to give there. They were the cheapest. They built it to have 14 bedrooms in each home and it's set up like a regular house. You've got your living room, your kitchen, and your laundry area. It would have been a good choice for him like five years ago, but not today. We were there on a Friday and someone was singing. They had activities. The staff during the tour was good. It was the corporate person who did an outstanding job. The outdoor area wasn't aesthetically pleasing. They had some rocking chairs on the front porch. As far as landscaping and that kind of stuff, it's very sparse. Besides the chairs on the porch, I didn't see anywhere else where they had a courtyard or a garden area with some trees or any kind of structure for shade or a protected area to be out there. I wasn't pleased with that. It did smell, so that's not a good thing. I just wasn't happy with that one. I wasn't impressed.

I was able to tour Mustang Creek Estates - Burleson's new building that they made for memory care. It was still in progress, but it was nice. The person giving me the tour was great. There was a resident there and she was asleep right there, when you first walk in, at a dining table. I was like "Why is she there?" And nobody was checking on her until I left. He explained that she likes to be out where everyone is, even though she's napping, she likes to be there. Another resident came out, and she said hello and she was smiling. She seemed happy. They showed me a private and a semi-private room, the size and layout were fine. They were brand new, so they were clean. I saw their activities area which was nice.

My mom has already settled into Mustang Creek Estates - Burleson. I like the convenient location. The staff is very good. They're friendly, very attentive, and caring. She's got a great room; it's roomy. The facility is very clean and up to date. They have trips to some activity areas, and they have games. I have tried their food on a couple of occasions, and they're delicious. They play bingo, and my mom has participated in some domino games, and she enjoyed the camaraderie. She has just moved in a couple of weeks ago. It's very reasonable. It's cheaper than what I have gone through. The staff is friendly, very accommodating, and resourceful. They're good.

I toured Mustang Creek Estates and they were very friendly, respectful, answered all the questions that we had, and brought up questions we didn't have, and covered those things. We toured the memory care area and what we liked the most was the pricing and their forthrightness about it. It was all-inclusive. The facilities were very clean and they looked new. The only drawback was it's farther away than I thought it was. The director and the manager were absolutely one hundred percent of what you would want. They were very factual and very cordial, but as far as the working staff, when they were asked to come over to meet us, they just acted a little strange. Then we saw the activity room and found out that a new activity director was hired. They had some paintings that they had been doing that were in there too.

Mustang Creek Estates of Burleson is a very nice facility, and it's a larger amount of property. They're pretty much doing assisted living and caring for people who need assistance with their day-to-day living. It had a cute little apartment. The staff all seemed very great and cordial when I was there. I'm giving them that rating because I only had the initial orientation. I had a small tour of the area that my parents would have occupied, and everything appeared nice, clean, and orderly. When I got there, in one of the rooms they were getting ready to have a celebration, like a birthday for somebody, and they had some things laid out, and I thought that was nice. It was one of my top ratings until I found some places that are closer to us. It was just the location, that was the only thing.

Our tour experience with Mustang Creek Estates was very good. They were very informative and answered all our questions. It was a very nice facility and a very nice complex. They are like little separate homes, and each home has a small number of people. They have access to the kitchen. They have their own apartment inside. There is a living area, if they want to watch TV or play checkers. They also dine together if they want to. They have a cook within each home, and they cook and make snacks throughout the day for the residents. We went early in the day, so lunch was being prepared. It was in a crockpot, and it smelt wonderful. You could tell that the staff was very caring. They wanted to meet our needs and my brother's needs. They listened to what we had to say. They were very, very helpful.

We visited Mustang Creek Estates - Burleson, and we did not like it at all. They did not seem very homey or anything. We only saw one person, but we were not very impressed. The rooms were just plain Jane; they all look exactly the same. They were all empty, and in fact the whole building was shut down and not even open. They just showed us this little area where people cook. They said the people cook their own food, and we thought that was weird. We did not see very much of anything because we were not impressed with it very much at all. They said they have no nurse there because they said in Texas that is illegal. It did not look very clean at all. It is like four or five separate buildings. They did not tell me which building to go; the appointment just said "two o'clock." We went, then the lady came out of the office, I guess, and she said we're supposed to be going to building B. So went to building B, but then we were supposed to go to building C. We were not impressed. We will never put our mom there. I'm not surprised they don't have any people. We went around the whole building, and nobody was there; the rooms were empty. It looked like they don't have anybody there. They said that building is shut down. Other than the kitchen part, I think it looks pretty clean.

We chose Mustang Creek Estates - Burleson for my uncle because of its location, the people there, and the facility. It's a really nice place, and it's a good fit. They're very outstanding, very nice, very caring, very patient, and very helpful. Some of the staff seems to be a little preoccupied with other things, like being their cell phones, but most of them are good. There were just a few bad apples who need to be weeded out. With COVID, they are kind of limited, but they have a pretty good amount of activities going on. I have not tried the food, but my uncle seems to really like it. They cook it right there in the kitchen while all the residents are kind of watching and gathering around. It's just like a home setting, and it's really nice for the residents.

We chose Mustang Creek Estates Burleson for my sister because of the cost and the availability. Our experience with moving her in hasn't been very good and she's not happy there at all. So, I imagine we'll have to move her again. The biggest problem is the staff. They're not trained certified nurse aides, they're just assistants, and they don't know how to lift her nor help her. It's just been very poor resident care. They need to improve on their staffing levels. They told us when we first met with them that there would always be two staff persons in the building at all times, 24 hours a day, but that wasn't the case. Sometimes, there's only one, and one night there wasn't gonna be anybody until they got a floater to come in. So, the staffing was really poor and they're not really attentive to her. She's bed-bound and can't go out to eat in the dining room or anything like that. All they need to do is bring her ice, so she can drink her Ensure that I provide for her or that she orders online, and they're not very prompt with that at all. Sometimes, she'd go for hours and hours without anything to drink. They're not trained medically at all and that's not the kind of care that she needs or expected.

Mustang Creek started out as a great place for my mom but slid down hill quickly. We would show up to visit my mother and her hands were covered in feces as well as part of her face. This happened three separate times. My mom fell and couldn't walk and they had to call me to ask what to do. I had to tell them to call an ambulance. My mother's jewelry was stolen and everyone who I asked for help didn't respond. The price increases dramatically each year and the director and staff change more frequent than I have ever seen. On our last visit, we stood outside for ten minutes ringing the doorbell before someone came to the door. The residents were all alone and the worker, who appeared to be the only worker there, looked as though she had been asleep. Please don't trust this place with your family members.

My mother moved into Mustang Creek Estates of Burleson. So far it's been good. The staff is good and I met everybody. It seems like she's really doing well there. So far they've been very supportive and helpful. In the building she's in it's good, it's big, there's enough room for her to roam around, and she likes to move. They let her go, walk around, redirect her when they need to, but so far it's been a good experience. They're cooking good meals, so she's eating really well, and they seem to be on top of stuff. It was higher priced than what I could afford, but they worked with me in order to get me in the building, so I greatly appreciated that.

Mustang Creek is very modern and nice. It is a small house. They could use more staff at times. However, they're very welcoming, very polite and very patient. My husband is not always the nicest person, but they're very patient with him. The physical appearance is very nice and beautiful. They have all kinds of activities, like a person would come and exercises with them. They do different things for different holidays, but my husband doesn't participate. They do field trips. The staff members are very sweet and very patient. The food is nice and the dining area is a big room. The kitchen is open and you can see them preparing the meals for the family table where they all serve the meals to the residents. It always smells good. They buy fresh food and they cook it. It is a good value and they are very competitive with the other places I have looked into.

One of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make was the decision to put my wife in assisted living. I made the decision to place her at Mustang Creek of Burleson and what a great decision. The community is beautiful and well kept, everything is clean and smells good. Normally you can smell something cooking when you walk in the door which always makes me hungry, but that is not what makes Mustang Creek so great. The people on the inside who work there make it such an amazing place to live. I have said many times recently to my friends and family that it doesn't matter how big and beautiful and well kept your home is if the people living there are not just as great then all you have is a house not a home. Although my wife has only lived at Mustang Creek for a short period of time the staff there has showed us more love and compassion then we could have ever asked for. Melissa, the community's director has to be one of the most caring people I've ever met. I have watched as she has stayed late at night and even overnight to stay with a resident or a family because they were not at ease. The support she shows her staff is also something to see. I counted eight different employees walk in to her office to ask a question in a matter of 15 minutes. I also cant say enough about the staff in building B. DJ, Leah, Deja, Bree, Takeisha (sorry if I left someone out) are all an excellent group of people they have cared for my wife like she was their own mother. I am so thankful to each and everyone at Mustang Creek. Remember it doesn't matter how beautiful and great your house is if you don't have whats on the inside to make it a home. Mustang Creek is definitely a place you can call home.

This a horrible facility. Residents are not given food they can eat...diabetic, soft etc. Staff is not properly trained on medication administration, how to recognize a stoke or fall prevention. They frequently do not clean the rooms, leave off pillowcases and sheets. My dad reeked of urine and feces, also had frequent bed sores and uncontrolled diabetes. They medicated him to a point that he was sedated 24/7 and slept all day every day. If zero stars were an option I would choose that.

I was at Mustang Creek Estates in Burleson visiting my mom last Friday, I live out of town and can only get to Burleson about every six weeks. I walked in the door and immediately noticed a huge difference in the staff, they were so friendly, they greeted me instantly. The house was so clean and you could smell cookies or something sweet baking. My mother it a pack rat and refuses to trash anything, I expected to walk in her room and immediately start cleaning as I do every time I'm in town, I was pleasantly surprised to find that mothers room was exceptionally clean. Wow, what a transformation. I didn't have to do anything . I asked my dad and sister what in the world had been happening around there and they told me Mustang Creek had hired a new ED. Keep up the good work, we're extremely grateful for everything you have done and are doing, we love the new staff.

I went to Mustang Creek. The rooms were small. The staff members were friendly enough. The problem was that there is no nurse on staff all the time. The residents were doing crafts when we were there. The dining area was clean but dark. They have an outdoor sitting area. The other thing I didn't like was that the people are in a separate building away from the main building, and that concerns me. If anything ever happened there, they only have the staff members there at the time; it would be hard to get other staff members over.

I recently visited Mustang Creek in my search for a place for my mother. The facilities were gorgeous. The staff was very friendly and seemed to be very attentive. The Director was very professional and courteous and had answers to all of my questions. She was very knowledgeable. I visited two other facilities with similar concepts in Frisco and Carrollton. This by far was the nicest of the three with the most engaged staff.

This community is so different than any others I've toured. It was such a refreshing change to walk in and be welcomed immediately by friendly, smiling faces and a wonderful aroma from the kitchen. I wanted to sit down and have a plate with the residents that were all sitting around the table. I walked away from Mustang Creek Estates feeling excited about leaving my Mom in their care.

Great concept...good idea...but people are tricked. Affordable living with not much for what you are paying for. The residents get bored easily. The staff are not trained well. The medications are confused between workers and residents. This company hides slot of their wrong doing. The outside looks great but be careful of what goes on in the inside. Staff will give your loved one medicine that doesn't belong to them.

Mustang Creek Estates was my favorite and had very nice personnel. It had a warmer feeling and was more of what we were looking for to keep my dad happy. It was more of a home environment. The morning I was there, there was a group watching TV and a group outside being supervised. The dining area was very pleasing, and it was more like a home setting.

I just really thought that Mustang Creek would be a better fit for my dad who has dementia. They have individual group homes with at most 14 people in it, and I felt that that would be better for him instead of somewhere that had 30, 40, 50, or 60 people in it. It is a beautiful facility. It is new and kept very clean. The staff is very nice, and I haven’t had any issues with any of them. I feel that they are a little overworked and that they need another person in the home. They have 2 staff members in the home during the day and one at night, and I feel that there needs to be another one in there because they seem overworked. We stayed a lot up there with my dad, and I’ve felt like, sometimes, they could have spent a little more time with the residents, but they just did not have it to spend. So I think they actually need a little more help in there. I did not see a lot of activities. I was disappointed because it was my understanding that they were going to have church services on a Sunday, and I am not sure exactly why, but they don’t. Maybe they just have not been able to locate someone to do it yet. The cooking is fine, it is good, and they cook every meal. They are always willing to give snacks if the person is hungry, so they will do something in-between meals if they need to. They have an area out the back where the residents can go and enjoy the sunshine, which I like.
