"I was able to tour Mustang Creek Estates - Burleson's new building that they made for memory care. It was still in progress, but it was nice. The person giving me the tour was great. There was a resident there and she was asleep right there, when you first walk in, at a dining table. I was like "Why is she there?" And nobody was checking on her until I left. He explained that she likes to be out where everyone is, even though she's napping, she likes to be there. Another resident came out, and she said hello and she was smiling. She seemed happy. They showed me a private and a semi-private room, the size and layout were fine. They were brand new, so they were clean. I saw their activities area which was nice."

"My experience with Brookdale Westover Hills is fine. We have bingo, card games, movies, live entertainment, and a lot of things. We go out to eat once a month as well. Sometimes the food is really good and sometimes it's not, just like everywhere else. They have a library and internet."

"My husband has moved into Brookdale Tanglewood Oaks. When I walked in I felt at home. They were so warm, welcoming, and passionate about everything. All the residents were just as happy as they could be. The cleanliness is remarkable. It is very welcoming. The rooms are nice. The way it's set up is beautiful. The rooms are built around a tremendous courtyard with gorgeous old trees. It is just a very special place. The food is not one of their strong points. However, it always smells good, and my husband loves it. It's not gourmet or anything like that, but they're very caring and specific about preparing it. They have events constantly in both the assisted living and the memory care. They come around to the rooms and let the residents know what's going on. They have lots and lots of activities every day. I am just so pleased with how much they care, and they're passionate about their jobs. All the staff just absolutely love the residents."

"I was surprised by the staff. They truly cared for the residents. Most homes smell of urine and have a smell of death. This facility was always clean and the staff members were awesome to the patients. The place was so wonderful that I tried to gain employment through them. I was unqualified. I do have one negative thing to say. My grandfather has highly active taste buds, but even he said the food was bland. "

"It was phenomenal. They are the best, and it would probably be the only one that I would consider having my parents go and live in. It was a great community. The apartments were really nice and very modern. They have wood floors throughout, which was not the case as for the others that are carpeted. They also have a wonderful courtyard, an atrium, and access to an area where pets could go in and out via a pet door. It was just amazing, and it just felt like a home."

"I like the care being provided to my Dad by Hilltop Park Rehab. The staff at that nursing home are friendly and professional.The rooms were adequate, and the food is good. I know they have activities like games and physical therapies, but my dad didn't participate in any of those. Overall, my experience in that community is good. "

"I have had both a mother and a mother-in-law in this facility, and I can assure you they both loved it. This was their home until they were too ill to live by themselves, and we did not hesitate to use this facility for the second time. As usual the food could use improvement, but the care was there, the facilities were lovely and well kept, and the residents were respected. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility for your loved one."

"My husband stayed at Garden Terrace of Fort Worth. It was a really nice, clean place. They were attentive, and the care was good. You didn?t have to wait for whatever you needed. "

"Rose Terrace has been outstanding. They have five patients and my wife is in a private room. There's a person there 24 hours a day. She's in hospice care, which helps us. Somebody comes every day and bathes her, and the nurse comes as needed at least once a week and prescribes whatever medication is needed. They feed her three times a day, and she has to be spoon fed. The people there are just great. They get her up and set her up. The owner is very caring and very hands on. I have absolutely no complaints. I would recommend them to anybody. They take good care of her. I couldn't ask for a better group to take care of her. They have security on the front door and they have sprinklers. It's a beautiful private home. They do leg and arm exercises and they sing in between meals. It's the least expensive of any place that I have surveyed."

"My husband has been at Wema Homes since November and I would highly recommend them. When we found it, they were just starting, so he was the only one there at the time. It's a home, so he's getting such good care. They have RNs and I'm very pleased with it. They bathe him, get him up, give him his medicines, and help him with whatever he needs. The staff is great, and they do a great job. They don't have residents there that are walking around and doing things. None of them can do activities. I have tried the food that they serve and it's great. He has a big, clean, private room with a TV."

"I was at Renaissance Park Multi-Care Center for five and a half weeks, after having surgery for an infected hip replacement. I have often found that when the head administrator of any type of business or facility is visible, it is of good quality. My infectious disease doctor happened to mention that he had a physician assistant at Renaissance Park. I decided to choose that facility. When I was admitted there, I was happy to find that the friendly head administrator was visible every day, either in a department, in the halls, or even saying hello to clients in their rooms. It was mentioned to me the second day what an excellent Physical and Occupational Therapy Department this facility had. I was heartened by the way they communicated with each other and how they encouraged their clients. They worked as a team and when they needed an extra hand, each one was immediately available. They were amiable, light-hearted, and above all, knew their stuff. This may sound too good to be true, but it was definitely true here. Seems when I needed something special, it was often the nurse who was personally responsible for me to whom I was supposed to go. She was caring, reliable, and got things done for me. I felt confident knowing she was there. All too often, the specialized administrators and the liaisons between insurance and the client are not seen. It was different here. They were proactive, contacting me in person, up front with information I needed to know. Most of all, it was just a part of their being to call me by name and be truly interested in my well-being, much different from "just doing their job and going home." Sure, I was anxious and demanding at first. I soon learned to pace my requests, to apologize, and to be patient when people had their own particular job to do. Renaissance Park was further from my home than many other rehabilitation centers on the list I had been given to choose from, but I'm glad I chose this one. One other thing: the food was good !!"

"My mother lived in The Lighthouse for about a year. The care she received was with respect, wisdom, personal and with great care. My mom was clean, made to feel at home, and treated special (and I could see each resident was treated with the same special care). I was kept informed with phone called and emails. I could contact them at any time, and was listened to, and also received any information I requested. I felt this was the perfect place for my mom to live out her last days, and Deb, the owner, was wonderful to her, and to my family and me."
