I live in Waterview The Point Independent Living. My room overlooks a lake; it's beautiful. I have a porch. It's gorgeous. I live in independent living, and the rooms are very nice. I have a one bedroom. The staff is great. It's about walking distance to the historic town square, shops, theaters. We have bingo, knitting, and all sorts of exercises (both individual and group). We have speakers come and entertainers. We're signing up a man to play piano. Tonight there's going to be a 19 year old world class fiddler. They have lots of parties. We have a man to drive us around downtown or whatever we want to do. It does seem to have a lot of problems in elevators and things where fire alarms go off, but there's no fires. That's an annoyance I've experienced. Equipment doesn't work very well and sometimes frequently. I'm not crazy about their food.

I visited the Waterview - The Point Independent Living and it was very lovely. They had a dining room and a place for everybody to get together. The rooms were nice with walk-in showers in them. They have 1-bedroom and studio apartments. The facilities were very nice and very clean. The price was just more than I could afford. The staff were all very nice, though. Everybody was very cordial and helped me in all that they could.

I liked that Waterview - The Point Independent Living was full service. It's got everything that we would need (maybe a little more than we need at this point). It's a beautiful facility. The people were extremely nice. They had more amenities than the other two that we looked at. They had the exercise, the food, and the swimming pool. Everyone was cordial. The facility was run very nicely and kept up extremely well. I just wished the second bedroom in the two-bedroom unit was a little bit larger.

If I could go here now, I would go. It was more modern than the other place I visited. I couldn't find anything negative about it. It was a beautiful community. The apartments were spacious. Every service that anybody could need was available. Even though it was not assisted living, they would have physical therapists that could come in if you needed that or an optometrist would come in and help you if you needed glasses. If they couldn't help you right there, they made sure that you had transportation to wherever you needed to go. The staff was excellent and just talking with them, I'm learning about the process and what I need to consider. She gave me information that I didn't even know I needed until she pointed out, some things I needed to think about in choosing a place. It was just awesome. it was beautiful and clean. We talked to some of the residents that were there and they were very warm and welcoming and were saying, "Get your mom to come on out. We want her here." It was great. Their facility was well thought out, too, and it's easy to get around. It's easy to know where the different facilities were within the community. That took a lot of forethought on their part in designing that community. They kept the activities posted. The staff even put one in the folder that she gave me for the upcoming month.

I will be moving in. They cover utilities and give you three meals a day. They take out your trash for you and clean your apartment. Everything about it is top-notch. They have a stove, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. I was able to take my own washer and dryer. But if you don't have a washer and dryer, they have a place there where you can get your laundry done. They have an indoor pool, a courtyard outside, and a full kitchen.

Waterview is an upscale and beautiful facility. The rooms are really nice with granite countertops and full kitchens. We looked at the independent living facility. One of the issues is it's a really big facility and they only have elevators on each end, so it's quite a long walk if you happen to get an apartment pretty far from the elevators. The dining room was very upscale and the food is wonderful. They also do a lot of activities.

I visited Waterview. It was great, and I thought my mother would have loved it. They had book clubs and bridges going on. The dining room was lovely. The staff was wonderful. Even afterwards, one lady still tried to make my mom interested in coming, and she actually sent her card to where she's living now. The apartment was beautiful and big. The bathroom was big, and the bedroom was in the small size. I was impressed on how attentive everybody seemed, and everybody had smiles on their faces.
