"We have chosen Isle at Raider Ranch for my mom. She will move in there. My experience with it was very thorough and positive. We have very few questions on what to expect, other than that, hopefully, we'll go in. We did try the food about a year ago. The food was delicious and well-cooked. They had a menu with several selections on it so there's something for everyone, so to speak. They did have several activities going before Covid hit."

"My mother has moved into Wedgewood South. The facility is very pretty, clean, and updated. It has very nice rooms. The layout is very good. We like the fact that they're in quadrants, so there's a greater staff to resident ratio. There are more employees for her. They have courtyards and lovely patios. They do activities on the patios. They have a very good activities director, so my mother has things that she can do every day. She is encouraged to go to things rather than to just sit in her room. They have ladies' coffee. They have movies. They have a chapel, and every holiday there are activities. They have bingo three days a week. They have many activities."

"I have put my parents at SouthHaven Assisted Living, and it’s wonderful. My parents are very close to the staff; any need we have, they take care of it. Mother needed a lot of care at first, but she is doing much better now. They help with toileting, brief changes, and bathing. They do housekeeping once a week, and Mother gets her hair done."

"Tanglewood Village was really older, small, clean and quiet. They only had two tables in their dining area. It was more expensive than others that were nicer; I don't understand why. However, it was very clean and the people were very nice and very helpful. "

"I chose the BeeHive Homes of Lubbock for my father. He's been there four days but he passed away Monday. They met my needs and they're very caring. My mom is there too. Her room is efficient. And she eats what she can, and they catered to her as far as her likes and dislikes. My mom has only been there four days. They're very good."

"I put down a deposit on Wilshire on 4th, and things are rolling along. My friend has a room and it's for memory care. It's a small facility. They have 16 rooms and they're all single rooms. It's one of the most affordable of the places that we talked to. They had a gathering room with a TV, and I saw several people there. It was 4:00, and there were several people in the dining room with activities at the time. The room was kind of small, but it's just one person in the room. It had a bathroom and a huge closet with a built-in dresser. The toilet and sink were in that area, but the shower was down the hall. Most falls happen in the shower, so there's always somebody in the shower with the residents. The lady who showed us around was very informative and asked lots of questions about the kind of care that my friend needed. They were open to everything that we needed. It was clean. Because it's a memory care place, the doors were locked. They have the licensing for locking the doors. They can't get out the door unless one of the staff members opens the door. They had the common area that was like a living room, and a common area that was like a dining room. There was a large backyard that I didn't really look at, but they mentioned that they take people out there and enjoy the sun."

"The staff at The Legacy at South Plains was excellent and very nice. They offered to feed us, but we didn't eat there. The facilities were extremely nice. The rooms were nice, but they were small. I liked it very much."

"Golden Top has been a very good fit for our loved one and our whole family. We had several referrals for Golden Top in the beginning of our search and have been with Golden Top for 3 years. Golden Top doesn't just take care of your loved one, they also always welcome all the family with any questions, or concerns. Our loved one has all the flexibility in making Golden Top her home in this stage of her life. She is very well taken care of, 3 meals and snacks during the day, and the home is always very clean, well ordered. We are pleased as a family member of a resident with our decision to place our loved one at Golden Top.."

"My mom is at Sisters of Loving Arms Care Home. It's in the older part of Lubbock. They have large, beautiful homes in the area. This is an older home that probably could use a few updates, but the people are very nice. The staff is very nice, too. They only have 8 residents at a time, so they're able to give a little bit more personal care. In terms of activities, they have played games like dominoes or cards and played bingo at one time. My mom has a TV in her room, and she likes TV. But they don't take them to their appointments. The family has to take them to doctor's appointments. The dining room has one large table. The ones that can sit at the table, come to the table. But if you're not feeling good or you don't want to, they will serve your food to your room. It would be nice if they could get a little bit more activities. The place is clean. It could use some upgrading. But if my mom needs help with anything, she can just pull one of the strings and she has a thing that she wears on her neck sometimes that she can call them to come and help her."

"Our visit at The Porch Swing was very nice. The people that were there seemed happy. What stood out for me was the owners and how dedicated and caring they were for the residents. This place was really my first preference for Mother. It is a private home. It is a smaller facility. They only keep three women. The ambience was wonderful. The facility was extremely clean. One of the residents was eating lunch while we were there and it looked good. I didn't meet any other staff. It was only the husband and wife that were there. They were a wonderful couple. They were very sweet people. They are there for 24/7 but they do have some staff that comes in and helps when you need them. "

"The people at Wilshire Place seemed really nice and were right there when I walked through the door. Everybody seemed very happy. It's a nice place. The elderly people seemed really happy. The grounds were nice, but the parking lot was small and really crowded while trying to get in and out without getting hit. I didn't like that. "

"The staff at Angels Arms are beyond kind and patient. My mom struggled a lot with psych issues and despite it ultimately not being the best fit for her extremely volatile nature, they really tried to make her comfortable and help her. The ladies who work here have the patience of saints. The owner was very kind and helpful as I tried to navigate all of this on my own from across the country. Everyone who visited raved about how attentive the care is and quality of food. I am sad that it didn’t work out, but would 100% recommend your loved one live here. It seems like a very calm and peaceful home. I can’t thank them enough."

"We went to see The Phoenix House in Lubbock while we were there scouting out assisted living facilities for our aunt. It looked well tended from the exterior. The interior rooms are all lovely -- from the foyer sitting room to the community and activity rooms. All were designed with senior access in mind. They have many events and socials scheduled, as well. The residents are treated to many invigorating and stimulating outings in and around the area. The dining areas feature nice furnishings and great looking and smelling home-style food that the chef cooks in a healthful way, matching any dietary need necessary. Residents may place special requests at any time. The snacks are available continuously. They also encourage guests to visit as much as they like. Many people from the community come to entertain and socialize with residents regularly. They provide individualized service plans for each resident, including exercise, and assistance with ambulation and personal care as necessary. It was clear that they keep the residents in mind first and foremost. This is a nice facility with well-cared for resident and a caring, kind and dedicated staff. "

"Tahoka Living Center (Lynnwood) is very close to where my mom was living. It is within ten to fifteen minutes of a lot of people that will go see her. The staff is very professional. She likes the food and gets around very well -- no complaints at all. Her accommodation allows her some privacy, and she has plenty of space; it is a perfect size for her. "
