We went to see The Phoenix House in Lubbock while we were there scouting out assisted living facilities for our aunt. It looked well tended from the exterior. The interior rooms are all lovely -- from the foyer sitting room to the community and activity rooms. All were designed with senior access in mind. They have many events and socials scheduled, as well. The residents are treated to many invigorating and stimulating outings in and around the area. The dining areas feature nice furnishings and great looking and smelling home-style food that the chef cooks in a healthful way, matching any dietary need necessary. Residents may place special requests at any time. The snacks are available continuously. They also encourage guests to visit as much as they like. Many people from the community come to entertain and socialize with residents regularly. They provide individualized service plans for each resident, including exercise, and assistance with ambulation and personal care as necessary. It was clear that they keep the residents in mind first and foremost. This is a nice facility with well-cared for resident and a caring, kind and dedicated staff.
