"I visited Brookdale. The person who accommodated me was very efficient. She had all of the paperwork. She had a nurse on her staff come and talk to us about the extra fees for the additional help that my mom needed. She gave us a tour of the whole place. She was really friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very good and very nice. The only stipulation there was to bring your own furniture. They had all stuff that they could participate in, and they have a group meeting so that everybody can come and tell what they like and dislike about what happened during the month. I liked that it was kept very clean, very nice, very open, and very spacious. All of the people there knew each other really well. They had more activity rooms. They even had a chapel, which was really nice, and they had bible study. "

"We went to The Courtyards. The people were friendly, and it was clean. There wasn't a calendar of activities posted. It's a relatively new facility, so they don't have a lot of residents right now. They had a library and a fenced-in courtyard with no gate access in the memory care section. The rooms were fine."

"We toured Orchard Park of Permian Basin. Their rooms were smaller, and their closets were smaller. I didn't really like that the independent living and the assisted living shared a dining hall. I didn't really like that I wouldn't be able to get in when I wanted to. I take care of my mom at 6:00 in the morning, but it was going to be difficult to get in at 6:00 in the morning. It was very nice and very clean. The people were very nice. Their rent rate was fine, but when you start adding the level of care, it adds up pretty quickly, and the rooms were smaller. Those who assisted me were great. They were very nice and very helpful. They followed up and checked with us. The biggest reason we decided not to go with them was the rooms were just a lot smaller. They have well taken care of rooms, they have some really nice courtyards, and they have activities daily."

"I thought that Cimarron Place was nice and they were very personable. They take really good care of their residents. It's a small community, so it's like a big family as there are only 50 residents. So I thought it was really neat how they cared about their residents, it was very family-oriented there. The rooms were good and it's very clean there, so everything was super clean. Their dining area seemed nice, and they were constantly checking on everyone. They're very aware of their residents. They have activities like Bible studies, and they told me that a chef prepares the food."

"I was able to look here and I like the whole deal of it. It was located in a very good neighborhood. The lady showed me several different sizes and several different price ranges. The staff were all friendly and nice. I was not able to ask if they have garages or not because it's very important for my dad, but I later found out that they did. I saw their activities, and one of them is an exercise class. "

"We looked at a couple of nursing homes and amongst them, Parks Methodist looked like a pretty good facility for my mom. Also her doctor had a positive attitude about this place, so we placed her there. She has been there since second week of July in fact. The facility is clean. It's pretty much odor free. A lot of the nursing home facilities have an odor but this one doesn't. The staff is extremely honest. We haven't had a thing disappeared for the past two months that my mom has been there. Security is great. The nursing staff is sweet, honest, and dependable. The physical therapist is very professional and very good. His aides work with the patients very well. I think for my mom it has been a first-class experience. She has a private room but we pay a little extra for it. It has a bed, a dresser, a couple of extra chairs. It has a television. It has its own bathroom facility. It also has an emergency call light. Food is not the kind of thing you have at home but it's reasonably good. Generally, they offer two options. Mother manages to work around whatever they have and she is doing okay with it. They also have pretty good food sanitation practice. "
