"Brookdale Midland was very impressive. I thought that the director was extremely friendly, informative, and very convincing. It was one of the very first places we saw. She was pretty awesome. If it wasn't over there in Midland, they'd be a bigger consideration because she told me of all the amenities; they had quite a lot. They had a beauty shop and that was included in the price. They had bingo, arts, and puzzles. They had just everything to keep the residents friendly. We met some of the residents, and they seemed so happy. One of them actually came up to us and introduced herself. She told us that she was about to go to bingo and that was a lot of fun. The feel of that place or the ambiance was just really amazing. We didn't see any of the food or try anything. We looked at the menu, and we thought it looked really good. They explained to us how they were very cognizant of their residents that have diabetes and make sure that they get the right kind of nutrition. They all were pretty good about that. I was so impressed with the director as well. The Brookdale people seemed to have the best directors. We really liked the rooms because they were set up so nicely, but they only showed us really small spaces."

"Placing your loved one in the hands of others for care is never an easy decision. From the initial interview to the day of her admission the staff was professional and compassionate. The staff care for my mother very well and treated her kindly throughout her decline and subsequent passing. When we went to pick up our mother's belongings several staff members came in to give us their condolences and had only tearful and kind words about my mother. I recommend this place for your loved ones care and become partners with them because in the end that works out best. Thank you staff at Buena Vida. "

"I chose Holiday Lincoln Tower for myself because my only child lives in this town. It's beautiful. They take care of meals and everything I need. I had a sample of the meal, and it was great. They had a chef. The staff members are very friendly. They have a lot of activities. They take you anywhere you want to go on the bus. They have lots of activities planned. Last night when we were moving stuff, I don't know what they were doing, but there was an activity and I saw them all grouped. It was a group activity. They have housekeepers come and change your linens once a week. They make your bed, and they vacuum and stuff like that. I'm not sure about everything yet because I'm still in the middle of moving. I will have a safety button if I need help at any time. They're on-call all the time for help if I need help. They have lovely little apartments. They have food and they have an exercise room. They also steered me in the right direction for the VA to help me a little bit. This will take some time, but I happen to be an eligible VA spouse. And that helps a lot."

"I visited a friend at Deerings Nursing and Rehabilitation. This is an older facility, but it seemed to be pretty well maintained. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. My friend's room was very small."

"Madison Medical Resort was beautiful and clean. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. My dad received very good care while he was there. It was very modern. My dad was only there for a little bit before he passed, but they had three or four activities a day. They played bingo, they had movie days, trivia games, and just a lot of things for the residents to do."

"My aunt was in this facility. The private room she was in for rehab was very nice. The therapy staff were friendly and got her walking again. The nurses were caring and made her feel at home. I didn't even know this facility was there but we had been at another building in town and the staff were rude. This is a nice surprise on the west side of Odessa!"

"Sienna Nursing & Rehabilitation just impressed me all together. My mom has been there since March. The staff is very good even if they just had a turn over. The place is clean. All the residents have roommates. I would say that the food is good. They even have three separate areas that they can dine in. They have bingos and other games as part of the activities. Indeed, they are doing a great job so far. "

"My mother has moved into The Parks Senior Living. It ticked all the boxes for my mom as far as her care needs and it was very homey. The people were very friendly and the staff was on top of everything. We're excited about our choice. It's just a little bit older, but everything's nice about it. My mom is very picky, but she's happy with the food. They have bingo and puzzles. They try to keep them all involved. My mom gets physical therapy, so she stays active."

"First of all, I come from a hospital employee background, (Department Head) to be exact. I believe I know something about such related facilities operate and the obstacles they faced in attempting to maintain adequate care for residents. Don't think I do not look for this when we visit our daughter, a long-term resident at Ashton. Of course, there have been occasions when we have had to speak up about certain things and those things, upon consideration by administration have been acted upon and changes made. Overall, we find Ashton to be average and even above average in care and concern for residents. Ashton has had excellent administrative leadership and when such was not up to standard of Corporate, changes were made for the better. The staff at Ashton is more than willing to work with us in the care and concern for our daughter. We have found them to be more than cooperative in many matters. When COVID 'hit' the facility was diligent in maintaining a safe facility as much as they could, given the inadequate training and equipment to do so from the Federal Government. It was only a matter of time before COVID, via staff, made it into the facility and as we should all know, once the virus begins it works like a wild brush fire. However, with great diligence, Ashton staff have maintained and overcome the virus. Yes, our daughter did become infected but is now recovering, thanks to the diligence of the Ashton Staff. We are sick in our heats for those who died, but I want to say, it was not the fault of, or negligence of the staff at Ashton."

"I moved into Westridge Senior Apartments a month ago. Everybody seems very friendly. They have an exercise room, a library, and a food pantry. I have an apartment with a full kitchen, so they don't have a dining room for everybody. I like the layout of my apartment, and it is spacious. The bedroom is a good size, and the rest of the apartment is an open concept. They probably need help with the maintenance because the property is big enough for more help. They have only one activity, arts and crafts, which they schedule once or twice a month. It's not ongoing."

"Excellent Staff works really good with each other Very skilled I would not have wanted my family to care for me 24/7 which is what I needed. Never felt like I was a burden. Kindness seemed to be character of all no matter if you asked housekeeper or nurse for help I Highly recommend this place. Hope I never need this again but if I do this is where I will go. Clean Food was excellent and creative Did I mention clean!!!"

"Mom is living at Mabee Health Care Center. The staff are wonderful. She started out in the skilled nursing for the rehab after her hospital stay. The therapist and the nurses were great. They came and checked on her. They wanted it to be as home-like as possible for her. It’s a wonderful place. She was in a private room over in the assisted living, which was wonderful, but now she is in a shared room, and she will eventually be a Medicaid patient if she outlives her money. Her roommate is wonderful. The room size is adequate. It's fine, and it's well taken care of. I don’t have any complaints at all with them. "

"My mother is placed at The Village at Manor Park (Helen Greathouse Manor Assisted Living), and we are doing fine. We chose it because it has single room which is the number one factor. It is near me. They have a doctor that comes in to see the Alzheimer’s patients. It is very clean. I am pleased with all of the staff. There is one person I am not so pleased with, but I am going to talk to her. I had trouble with this lady and no one else. Her room is beautiful because I do it. It has a foyer and a bathroom. It is just a room with a bathroom, but it holds quite a bit of furniture. However, I am having trouble with this one lady who keeps wanting me to get sitters for mother, but the other nurses says she does not need sitters; she just needs to get adjusted. "

"I'm at Village at Manor Park. I love it. I've been here for two years now. It's a very comfortable house. I have a three-bedroom-two-bath house. The yards are maintained. Everything is maintained outside the home. It includes maid service once a week. Any maintenance that I need inside the home, I just call, and they come and fix whatever needs to be done. There are multiple meal options and places to go for meals, or we can cook at home, which I do mostly. They have lots of activities, especially before COVID. It's kind of not as much now with COVID going on, but that's true everywhere. There's transportation to the grocery store and transportation to doctor's visits, and all of that is at no charge. If we need a personal trip, there's valet service and we pay for that. The staff is very helpful. I have not had any problems. With anything I need, they have someone available to talk to me and help me solve my problems. I think the staff has been great."
