The apartments are pretty nice, but needing aesthetic updates here and there that they seem reluctant to provide. The quality of care she receives is pretty good, but lately there seems to be not enough staff to live up to their reputation and what they say their goals are. The facilities are top notch and there is lots to do. The monthly rent is over $7,000 so be prepared.

My mother is placed at The Village at Manor Park (Helen Greathouse Manor Assisted Living), and we are doing fine. We chose it because it has single room which is the number one factor. It is near me. They have a doctor that comes in to see the Alzheimer’s patients. It is very clean. I am pleased with all of the staff. There is one person I am not so pleased with, but I am going to talk to her. I had trouble with this lady and no one else. Her room is beautiful because I do it. It has a foyer and a bathroom. It is just a room with a bathroom, but it holds quite a bit of furniture. However, I am having trouble with this one lady who keeps wanting me to get sitters for mother, but the other nurses says she does not need sitters; she just needs to get adjusted.
