"It was a fairly new facility and I liked it. They had about 90 rooms, which was quite big. The staff was very friendly as we toured the building. It had outdoor areas. Outside your window, you see a parking lot, but you had a little space where you could grow your own flowers."

"Wesley Village was very nice. The staff during the tour was very nice, very thorough with us, took us around, and showed us everything. The rooms were very good. I saw a two-bedroom, two-bath, with a kitchen. It was for independent living. We came at a very inconvenient time for them. Things were kind of closed down at the time. The dining room was closed and everything. We got showed around the different type of rooms they had."

"Silver Leaf Assisted Living and Memory Care felt like a home atmosphere. My wife stayed there and it was kind of a smaller and more intimate place. Majority of the rooms were bigger with private showers. They had good food, good service, and good cleanliness. During the day, the staff service was good, and then they were kind of short staffed at night. They had basically have two people, but one would try to stay up most of the night. If they needed extra help, they would wake another person up, as they lived on campus."

"My mom has moved into Lake Point Assisted Living & Memory Care in Denison. It's great; they've got just 16 residents, so it's not overcrowded. They've got their chef, and they have round-the -clock care; it's nice. She's been taken good care of. It's like a little apartment; it's a little assisted living apartment is what it looks like. We had to bring all the furniture, it was just a blank room. So, we brought all of her furniture and made it homey for her. Maintenance and upkeep are excellent. The staff is just really good with the people. They seem to care a lot, and they take really good care of her. The dining area is great. There are only 16 people, so it's just two tables full of people. They've got a nice bar in the kitchen areas. You can see that it's nice and clean; it's just overall a nice place to eat. They have great activities. My mom plays the piano; they have one and they let her go out there and play quite a bit. Then they have an area for the TV, and they have an area that they can sit and do whatever it is that they want to do - if they want to color or paint their nails, or whatever. They have a garden that they grow in this summer. It grows vegetables, and they take turns tending to it. They have a barbeque area where they have barbecues, hamburgers, and stuff. They have a front porch area that's got a bunch of rocking chairs on it, and they go out there and watch people go by. It's very expensive, but it's good."

"Stone Brook Assisted Living & Memory Care was a good place. I met a lady that moved in when she was 82, and now she's 102-years-old and she's still there. The rooms were bigger than the other place I saw. For me, they went the extra mile to make sure that we got what we needed."

"My room was freshly painted and like new. The shower and John were immacu l ate and both had large re-assuring support bars. The management personnel are honest and keep to their word...a rare trait today. They and I were willing to give me a cha n c e for independent living and as hoped I grew into it. Meals are provided and are average for a restaurant but great for institution s."

"The Woodmore is a great assisted living facility. An elderly friend of mine in late stage AIDS was there and spent the last few months of his life in their care. In visiting him, I found the home to be clean & sanitary and the staff extremely friendly and attentive to his needs. The food was good- being prepared on site by professional cooks, and the activities were too numerous to count. From daily games, video games, arts, crafts & photography classes- there was never a shortage of activities to keep the residents occupied. The various amenities offered include a spa, personal mailboxes, and a gorgeous garden patio. Overall, this is a higher-end assisted living facility, and the prices are going to be higher than other comparable facilities, however; they include laundry service, Lifeline service, and transportation- which is more than any of the other facilities in the area. Overall, this is a good place for low level care. I do not have any experience with high end care. "

"We moved mother here. First of all, I like the cleanliness of the place. It did not smell like an old folk home. They definitely check on her frequently and even through the night which was a major concern for me. She still has her privacy and she can close her door, but she does know that at night they do open the door and make sure she is in bed. She also knew that within a very short period of time someone would came on her to see if she has a problem and that was a comfort to my mom as well. Mom was losing weight rather rapidly but in the facility, they were making sure she is eating at least something three times a day whether they bring the food to her room or to encourage her to come to the dining room. Mom had put on 7lbs since she has been there. They are really working towards her concern. With regards to the activities, they have school kids come in and they disperse candy to the kids. There were always something going on besides doing bingo and crossword puzzles. They encourage the families to come in and enjoy activities with the residents. "
