"I toured The Grandview of Chisholm Trail. What I like best about it is that it's brand new. It's very nicely decorated and very clean. What I like about it is that it's huge. The staff seem very interactive with their clients. They knew all their names. The food was very good. They have many options for each meal. You had a choice of 2 or 3. It was a formal dining setting with crystal. The residents there are at a much higher level. The dining area has a wide open area with multiple small tables. It's very nice."

"We found Anchor Way for my mom. It is a smaller facility. It really looks like a house. There are several rooms, and they house about nine to 10 residents there. The staff is good and attentive. They provide activities every now and then. They’re not always interacting with the residents, but they hang out together in the main area most of the time. They offer home cooking, which is good. "

"My sister-in-law moved to Heritage Place Assisted Living. The staff is great. They're very patient, kind, and understanding about Alzheimer's. The food is excellent. It is nicely decorated and it's clean. They have music therapy. They have monthly family and friends evenings. They take them out of the facility. They take them to a restaurant. They've gone at least once since she's been there. I felt the friendliness. The rooms are nice. They're a good size. They have two kinds of rooms. They have a duly shared room with a bathroom and they have private rooms."

"I am a resident of Morada Burleson. I like it here. It's kind of weird that they have a big turnover of caregivers. The food was terrible today. The chicken was raw. The chef walked out yesterday. We have bingo and some crafts. My room is a good size. We only have one maintenance man, and I think he stays pretty busy because there's like 77 people here."

"The lady who gave us the tour at Mustang Creek Estates-Burleson's assisted living was very nice and informative. They have more individual little houses that have a max of 13 or 15 residents in each one. Theirs were more like a little bedroom, each with its own separate bath, but because it was more of a home instead of a little apartment, it did not have much space. The closets were very tiny, and the bedrooms were very small. That's the reason my friend didn't go with that one. She did like the homey feel, and it being smaller with a living area and a kitchen for everyone to share. They also have a cook who does all the meals. However, because they have a community living room, kitchen, and dining room, the bedrooms were very small. She has a lot of clothes, so she was not going to be able to make that small closet work. Men won't probably have as many problems with the small closet and the small space, but there was hardly any room to have even a chair in the bedroom. If you want to be alone or whatever, you'd just sit on the edge of your bed or a small chair. They also accept pets, but do not have an enclosed place for her dog. The place is out in the country, but if the dog did get away, it could still make it to the street. Other than that, I think the lady there said they have a couple of lady hairdressers who come and do your hair there. They also do your laundry for you, or you can do it yourself. It's up to you, but there is no extra charge for doing it. You just set your laundry basket outside your bedroom door, and they come and get it. It's only yours; they don't do everybody's laundry all at once, where you're going to get mixed up with someone else. They do it one person at a time, they wash it, and then bring it back to them, so that was nice. There was no additional charge for medication management as well. Everything is included in the price."

"Bristol Park Eagle Mountain has been great. My husband has gotten better, which is unusual for somebody that has his problems. The staff there is friendly and caring. They don't have an exercise area there, but they have a PT lady, a physical therapist, and an occupational therapist that works with them. They might have something in their rooms, but I've never gone in there. They have a lot of people come in and do things and work with him. They're very diligent about changing him during the night too. He's staying in their memory care facility."

"I will move into Wilshire Senior Living, which meets my requirements for space and amenities. I'm living in a 1,850-square-foot cottage with an attached two-car garage. It's more like a home than anything else. There are 32 or so cottages around a huge pond, and four of them are large like mine, and I have one of those four. The staff was great. They were perfect, and I still interact with them whenever needed. They're very responsive and professional. They have three meals a day, seven days a week."

"Lake Country Assisted Living was nice and well kept. We were there during COVID, so it's really tough. They didn't have enough caregivers who could come in. They had people who had left for whatever reason, so they weren't taking any more clients at that time. They didn't have another person to come in, and my sister has special needs. She's a type I diabetic and very brittle, so that means her blood sugar goes really high and really low and she doesn't feel it, so she has to be checked quite often. They didn't have someone who could come in to specifically work with her. Part of the reason for that is they can't go from patient to patient because of COVID. The rooms were nice, fairly spacious, clean, neat, and decent. The staff seemed caring and nice enough. They did not have enough in-home health aides for all the patients, but part of that was due to COVID. (We didn't have the vaccine back then.) The staff was responsive, but they really couldn't help because they weren't able to. They didn't have any activities at the time, but generally they have some outings where they can take people out, and they have a bus. They had in-home health aides who come in, do laundry, and make meals, but they were limited in what they could do at the time. I don't know whether they're taking clients now because I haven't checked back with them."

"I found Brookdale Richland Hills for my mother. It's a nice place. It seems like they are very caring and really wanting to help my mother, and that's a big thing. The staff members are right on top like when she uses her call button. She has fallen twice now, and they have called me right away. They're just really on top of it, and I'm very appreciative of that. She said the food is pretty good. For amenities they have a salon. She has already gotten her haircut there, and she likes it. With regards to value for the money it's expensive, but I think it's worth it."

"An elderly couple in our church put down a deposit for Ashwood Court. The place was awesome. We ate an awesome lunch there at a table with some residents who were really nice. The staff was nice. The place was clean and smelled good. We’re impressed with it. "

"We went to visit the Sterling House of Watauga assisted living facility since we happened to be in the vicinity looking at other places to consider for our aunt. The grounds looked very well tended and maintained and serene, with plenty of nice shrubs, trees and places to sit to enjoy the outside. The interior featured nicely decorated and lovely furnished community rooms where they can watch movies, use the computer, read, engage in arts and crafts, play games and gather for their many social events and parties. There were plenty of nice areas for quiet time as well as socializing with other residents and friends, family and other visitors. The communal areas were nicely designed with easy to access furniture and a comforting decor. The snacks looked interesting and healthy with a nice mix of nutritious options. We also liked that they encourage drinking plenty of fluids for healthy hydration each day. Their menus offer a variety of healthy food options. The food we saw looked nutritious, delicious and smelled really good, too. The dining rooms included both casual and formal options. The residents are encouraged to enjoy physical activity as much as possible. Residents may take exercise classes such as yoga and aerobics, or use the weight training and other equipment. They may also enjoy the outer walk ways around the building and courtyard. The facility is close to the metro area so that residents may enjoy all of the local events, art, culture, music, shopping and fine and casual dining offered. They are many medical offices and close to the highway which makes it easy for visitors. The private living spaces were nicely decorated and personalized, making them fresh and vibrant with plenty of natural light. We could really see that the residents are treated with care, kindness and respect so that they are very well cared for at all times. It was also apparent that the seniors enjoy living here. "
