"I've toured The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care. It looks the same as the place I'm trying to get my dad into, only the layout is different and this one is a few years newer. This is also 20% more expensive and 80% farther away. The bathrooms were enormous, and there was no option to use their furniture. The grounds were the superior choice, it was beautiful and they have a pool. The residents were involved in something at the time that I was there, they were all sitting together building or making or coloring something. In terms of staff, they were the superior choice, but at $7000, they ought to be. They probably had more staff than any other place I toured."

"My mom moved into Barcelona Assisted Living. It's a small facility. Therefore, they have very good care, as far as checking in on the patients, seeing how they're doing, and making sure that they're following their guidelines. The staff was very good. My mother was telling me about the things that she'd eaten, and she was pleased with the food. They haven't had any scheduled things like music programs or anything like that. But they make sure that my mom gets up in the morning and goes down to eat lunch or breakfast. They have a viewing room where they can watch movies. The living atmosphere is very pleasant."

"We toured Biltmore Assisted Living. The accommodations were great. They gave us a thorough tour. It was a very cozy site. You could tell it was a little bit on the older side compared to the other place. It was probably a little more affordable because they tend to have more semi-private rooms there. I wanted a private room. They had the same access to a doctor and a nurse practitioner. They had access to recreational visitors that come in, and they work with them whether it is music, some kind of painting activity, or things like that. One of the semi-private rooms they showed me was very cozy and very nice, but I noticed they did a patch job on one of the walls. I think it still needed a coat paint. Overall, it was good. It was a very cozy place."

"The Bridges at Edinburg Assisted Living Homes is a great facility. The reason why it didn't work for me is because it's not a lock-down facility, and there's a chance my husband could wander off. I'm impressed with the staff. It's a very nice facility with a very warm staff. I saw some people playing a board game, and the dining area was very nice. I saw a living room, and that's where they do music therapy. The rooms were very clean, very nice, and a good size."

"My mother is in Good Life and the people working there are very nice. They are very good and they take care of my mom very well. It is a small facility so it is more hands on. The cleanliness is also very good. She has a one-bedroom with a bathroom. It is very nice, and it accommodates her very well. She has a bed, a recliner, a dresser, a TV, a compact refrigerator, a microwave, and extra chairs. They have a nice little dining area right off the kitchen and it has a long dining table where they all congregate to eat. The food is good. It is fairly new and she is impressed with it. The citizens there go to adult day care, which is affiliated with Good Life where they have bingo, cards, other games and they also do crafts. "
