She shared a room with another lady, and it's large and fine. They have nurses and doctors that come periodically. I liked that there's activity in the living area. I'm just very happy with them. The only problem they have was they don't have enough parking spaces."

"Sycamore Creek Ranch - Shenandoah was very nice. I was there for 30 minutes and everything looked fine and very clean. The staff member during the tour was very friendly, very helpful, and explained things. The dining area looked good. They had large bathrooms for the residents, so those who had electric wheelchairs and so forth had enough room. They had a large backyard area."

"My sister was here. It's a new place. It's a beautiful facility. We were happy with them, and there was nothing that we had against them. My sister was supposed to stay in bed and use her call button, but she didn't. They'd already put her in bed and taken her to the restroom and all that, and about five minutes later, she got up and fell, and she broke her femur bone. So that wasn't their fault. When she went to the hospital, her dementia got worse, and they said that the care that she needed was more one-on-one type care. The staff members were great. The only thing we had against it was that my sister's room was small. The bathroom was small, too. You don't have much room to put anything in the room. However, the food was great. My sister put on some pounds there. The dining area was large, but it was nice because it is a large facility. With regards to activities, she liked to go to the movies and that sort of thing. But she didn't participate in the other items."

"I visited a friend of mine at Avanti Senior Living at Vision Park. It's a real nice place. They have assisted living and they have memory care too. It's new and it's up-to-date. The people are really nice there. My friend is in a little apartment, and she has her own living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen. She has a little patio, and she's in one of the ones that has enclosed areas, so if the dogs get away they can't get out. They have a place where we could go play cards. She had her 80th birthday over there and they had a big outside party for her. They made sandwiches for her party and they were good. They have different things there. They have a beauty shop and a spa for massages. The decor is very nice. They have a nice dining room and a dividing wall that's open at the top, and they have a TV and some tables where people go and work on puzzles or play cards, whatever they want to do. They have exercises. The staff has been very nice."

"My parents and I have visited the Spring Creek Village twice. It was good, clean, and had enough space in their assisted living apartments. The staff was very good and very helpful. The dining area was welcoming but we did not sample the food. The first time we visited they got everyone dressed up and they were having a fashion show. The second time, they were having a dance group come and perform. They tried to do different things there."

"The people of New Haven Assisted Living and Memory Care of Spring are very caring. My husband has been doing well, and I'm very pleased with them. He was in the assisted side, and we have all decided that he needed to go to the memory care side for his own safety and the safety of all the residents. They were very amenable to move him, and he has been doing fine over there. The staff is quite up front with information and calling me when they need something or do something, so the communication is very good. The meals are included, as well as laundry and activities. The building is very pretty, clean, and very nice. I have seen the food and it looked fine, too. He hasn't been there long enough to give them a rating of five, but if he's going to be there longer, I will certainly put it up to a five."

"It was great. The rooms were average. They provide games and bridge, and they take the residents out for sightings. They offer three full meals."

"Village Green really cares about the residents, and I feel that Mom is as safe as she can possibly be. Nothing is perfect, of course, but at VG they are willing to go the extra mile to help out with any situation. The staff are kind and are constantly training to learn more about caring for people with memory loss. They say that they are a "family," and I believe that is the way each resident is treated. So far, we're very happy with the care that Mom is receiving there. "
