"Cypress Woods is a beautiful facility. It was perfect for what I wanted for my loved ones. We had an appointment for 11:00, and nobody was available. We waited around. We had to stop some of the kitchen staff and tell them that we had an appointment, and they said, "We'll get somebody." We stood for probably about 45 minutes before somebody came. The apartments were small. They have no stove, just a refrigerator. Meals and snacks were included. The place looked like it would be good. Initially, they had told us they were going to serve us lunch, but they didn't. The girl was wonderful. She was really nice. She was great with the residents. It was everything I had hoped for for my loved ones, but they just couldn't afford it."

"I toured The Terrace at Kingwood Town Center. They were very nice. She offered me food, but I didn't eat. The room was small. There was a pool and facilities. She walked me through and introduced me to some people who lived there, and they were nice, friendly, and welcoming, and told me how they enjoyed being there. They hoped that if I could get in, we would be friends, that kind of stuff. The dining room was very open, like a restaurant with a buffet style. If you needed anything, they could make it for you. It's clean and bright, and they also have a piano. Some people played during meals. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful."

"Fountainwood at Lake Houston is very fancy pansy. It is very nice. It is a newer than the other facility. They provide three meals, but no snacks. And they have cleaning services once every two weeks. The apartments are large and very nice. There are lights coming in. They have lots of windows and kitchen areas with stoves and refrigerators. We had lunch there and it was very good."

"We visited Ella Springs Senior Living Community. It was clean. It didn't have any smell. It was nice. We got there right around lunchtime and did a tour. We saw what they offered, like their private, semi-private and shared rooms. The person who gave the tour was nice. She took us and walked us around. The people in memory care were pretty nice. They explained to us that if a person can't feed themselves or decides they don't know if they're supposed to eat, they are sitting there feeding them. The food looked good and smelled good. They had two churches that came in twice a week, one on Sunday and one during the week. They have bingo nights. They showed us around where they sit and watch movies. Each room has its TV. We enjoyed everything we saw and liked it. The only thing is that we couldn't afford it."

"It was nice. I had a nice tour with them. The place was very nice, clean, and cheerful. I met the assistant manager, the dietitian, and the physical therapist. Everybody was so nice to me. They showed me all the rooms; some were single and some were shared rooms. The rooms were very nice. I saw their menu and they had very nice, balanced diet."

"My mother moved into The Village at The Woodlands Waterway. The place is very nice. It's very close to restaurants and activities, and things like that. They have a lot of activities for the seniors there. The meals aren't the best. They're hit and miss. Sometimes you get a nice meal, and sometimes it's not so good. Other than that, the level of care is pretty good"

"I toured The Conservatory at Champion Forest, and it was the best I've seen so far. It was more modern, and the staff was kind. They followed up with me three times, even trying to adjust the price to fit my budget. However, it was still not cheap. Their rooms were clean and fine. They put a wooden floor instead of carpet in the living area. They have a kitchenette, which is enough for senior living, and I think for the washer and dryer they wanted extra."

"I liked Arella Forest at Woodland. The apartments were really laid out for an independent living situation. It worked to my mom's advantage. As far as she's not interested in the meals, we run into so many places where you have to purchase the meal plan, which stores everything up to $3,000, and my mother doesn't eat. So this was appealing to us from that factor. Plus, it was close to where I live. I really liked the community, that is probably one of my number one choices. The staff was very nice, she took us to the apartments that we wanted to look at, and was most helpful with the information. We looked at three different floor plans, a smaller one bedroom, a larger one-bedroom, and a two-bedroom. So they had lots of options. The prices were reasonable. They had a pool, an exercise room, a card room, and they had quite a lovely monthly planner that they use. My sister was like, "When can I sign up and go there?""

"We looked at The Landing at Augusta Woods Senior Living. It had all of the characteristics of a really quality facility. It had wide, wide hallways. It had an excellent selection of rooms available. It had all the attributes of physical therapy rooms, game rooms, swimming pool, and dining room. I would rank it way up there as one of the best we've looked at. They have appliances in the room. The kitchen is a full kitchen and you can cook in there if you want. There's washers and dryers and so forth. The staff who took me around was very knowledgeable."

"The Village at Gleannloch Farms has a Wellness and Navigation Program. This gives you peace of mind that even though you are independent, you have access to a person who helps you plan your steps to be able to continue to actively age in place. They have licensed private duty. Very active residents and activities."

"I toured The Solana Preserve Vintage Park, and it was awesome. It was amazing. It just wasn't what we needed. I physically went in and I spoke with Sierra but we didn't go very far other than the lobby, the eating area, and the little bar area because sitting and talking with her, we realized that what my mom needed, the facility wasn't going to suffice, unfortunately. They were all very friendly, mild-mannered when you were speaking with them, very easy to talk to, eager to help, wanted to make sure that they were trying to find a way to meet my parents' needs, I thought that was great. It's beautiful. It's like a higher-end hotel. It looks like an amazing facility. It looks very nice when you walk in, it's very nicely decorated, and you're greeted by a nice person at the front desk. It's very bright."

"We chose Mera Vintage Park. It's fabulous. We were really drawn to it. We like the bocce ball court, swimming pool, and pickleball. It appears that there are activities going on there. People like us are still fairly active. The dog park, that was important to us, they have an exercise room, a basketball court, outdoor grills, several seating areas that would be nice to get out and about, and that backs up to a preserve. And we were very excited walking into that preserve. We dealt with Jasmine, the sales staff. We're moving there."

"The Conservatory is equivalent to living in an all inclusive 5 star resort! Everything is there for you from beautiful apartment layouts, cruise like dining room with delicious entrees, pool and hot tub, library with exquisite sitting area, happy hour every day!! These are just a few of the highlights. But what makes The Conservatory even more special is its caring, exceptional staff! Tracey who has taken care of my Mom’s preferences down to every single detail. I cannot say enough about how she has accommodated us. Jenna & Jennifer who went over all details as we prepared for our move in. Even filling our fridge with water, plenty to share with our movers. And…. Finding a delightful charcuterie board waiting for us to munch on as our furniture was being delivered. If you are looking for luxury retirement living with a staff that loves their jobs and serving their residents, you need look no further than The Conservatory Alden Bridge!!! Gratefully Diane"

"My mother is at The Wellington at Conroe. The staff is always so pleasant, kind and helpful. It's a clean place and the staff adores the residents there. I show up there almost every day and they're always nice to everybody. The food is awesome, although sometimes it looks like they're throwing something on the plate, but that didn't happen very much. If a client wants something different that day, then they'll make that. It seems like they can't keep a housekeeper, but the staff steps in and they do the work. I honestly think that they need more people. Every day, they have activities starting at 8:00 in the morning, like exercises. When I go up there, they're out playing games. They have the most awesome lady that does activities with their clients. They do bingo, dominoes, everything you can think of. They make crafts. They're good with my mother, and they change her."

"I toured The Laurel at Vintage Park. They had extra things like appliances, garbage collection, and utilities, which were extra charges, whereas, in other places, they were all included. I was not all that interested in activities because all planned activities are indoors, and I'm more of an outdoor person, but my wife might be interested in it. The rooms were okay."

"Woodhaven Village was gorgeous. Love it. However, they require the food plan, which means that we're looking more towards $4,000 a month. My mother weighs 100 pounds. She does not eat breakfast. Everything we looked at with the full meal plan was not anything we were even remotely interested in. Woodhaven is opening up a 55 plus, but they are requiring a one-year lease, and we would like something a little bit more flexible. The amenities are gorgeous, beautiful, and in a very well kept area."

"I toured The Lakes at Woodhaven Village. It's very well taken care of. It's gated. It has a great pool, not only just the pool. They have a hot tub and they also have laps where you can swim laps. There are all kinds of games and things. There's a coffee bar. There's all kinds of stuff. The apartment itself was very nice."
