"My mom moved here. It's assisted living and we like that they have an outside garden area she can go to. It has a lot of shady oaks and they encourage gardening and planting tomatoes. It has all the activities, she's already got out of her room and played Bingo. They have a walking trail around the building, they have all the garden area inside or they can go and they have the squirrels and the birds. You can hang up your bird feeders and plant. There are no amenities like a swimming pool. This is not for somebody that can go swimming. Once a week, they do have the beauty salon open and a Bible reading or chapel area. We're still going through the adjustment period of when she gets her shower and when they do laundry because they do the laundry. They do the housekeeping once a week. We're still working on getting the kinks out and who to talk to for the different things going on. I'm sure it's all going to be fine, but we're going through that new period where we're still learning. I sat down and had a meal with her and it was very good. The facility is a little bit old but it's still pretty clean."

"My father is in Paradise Springs. We chose it because it's close to his current residence and his friends, and he liked it. My father tells me everybody knows his name and he likes that. The food is good, but they're a little slow to get it out. The weekend food service is very slow. It takes over an hour to eat. They have cornhole. They have bowling, religious services, and movie nights. He goes for drinks at the bar. He's very happy. The amenities are good. They have a place where you can get your haircut, and they have a pool table."

"My parents moved in Woodhaven 2 1/2 years ago. I lost my dad in April. Woodhaven was so loving during this stressful time. They were so helpful moving my Mom to Whispering Pines following his passing and through all the ups and downs in her health the staff has loved and cared for her so dearly. I could not ask for any better care and love shown to her and me. I appreciate all the support and attention she receives from all the staff and Devotion Hospice. I could not pick a better place for my Mother and I have recommended Woodhaven to several of my friends. "

"I moved into The Lakes at Woodhaven Village. Everything is fine. There have been several items that I have asked for service on and they've complied with every request that I've asked for. I'm pretty happy that I'm living there. I like that it's brand new. I like that the kitchen is big. I like that the people are friendly and that it's quiet."

"When I visited Heritage Tomball, I saw residents active, happy and socializing. So, I liked that. The room is pretty much the same as other places, you bring your own furniture, and you supply all your personal items. They have three meals a day. They have a place where they can sit outside, and they have a place where they can stand up and garden where they have raised beds. If they want to help with gardening, they can do that. They do have outdoor activities for them when the weather is nice."

"I toured the Ella Springs Senior Living Community. The staff was good. It was clean. The layout was OK. It was bigger than I wanted and across from my high school. For some reason, that didn't sit well with me. I didn't like the location at all. The facility itself was perfect, the grounds and everything. I don't have a problem. It was just a personal preference for the location. I didn't have any complaints about the facility."

"The Solana Preserve Vintage Park was very nice and they were informative. The apartments were very nice, they had balconies, and their dining area was beautiful. They have good chefs, and the food is supposed to be excellent. We weren't there at mealtime, so we didn't see, but we have heard about the food they have like steaks and lobsters. They had all kinds of activities like arts and crafts. They have a nail salon and hair salon. My friend's main complaint was that the common areas were crowded."

"My mother-in-law has been in Carriage Inn - Conroe for over a year now, and she's very happy there. All the staff members are very caring. It's very clean and safe. The chef and his helpers prepare wonderful meals. It's a lovely little location. It's serene and after a year of observing my mother-in-law there, we are 100% happy with her living there. Once COVID was over, they have a van where they take them on outings to different places and churches. There are several things that they can go off location and stimulating like a tourist. They also will have transportation to take the residents to local dentists and doctors. They have transportation to also just privately take them if they want to go shopping or something like that. Inhouse, they have an activities coordinator and she keeps them busy with all kinds of stuff. They have bingo where they get prizes if they win. They have a senior version of volleyball and they do that with pool noodles and balloons. Every Friday, they have a happy hour and they have a musician playing and singing and wine is served. With their meals, they can get wine on demand as well. They submit their crafts that they do to be judged. They have an antique car truck show onsite once a year. Every holiday is a big-themed holiday there, so if it's Easter, it's Easter eggs, if it's the 4th of July, it's patriotism, and the whole staff joins in with the residents. They're always engaging their residents with fun stuff. There's a laundry room on site, so if the residents choose to do their own laundry, it's free or they can pay $5 a load and the staff do their laundry for them and fold it or hang it up and bring it to them. The chef county has been there for many, many years and it's like his mission, so he takes it very seriously. They offer a variety of food. It's ala carte, and they choose every day, and the menu changes."

"I saw Park Creek, and it's 5 stars all the way around. I wasn't able to see the rooms, they were all occupied, the staff was great, and the whole thing was beautiful, wonderful. The outdoors was gorgeous, there was a pool, an outdoor kitchen, it was wonderful. I saw the living room, an exercise room, a private room where veterans gather which is great, they gather for coffee in the morning. They also had an after-hours bar, and like a small Starbucks in there, where you can go and get something any time of the day. The menu was great, and the food options seemed out of this world."

"Village on the Park wasn't far from where I live and I just passed by, I saw it and I came in. They had what I wanted, 2 bedrooms and two full baths, car porch and a garage and that's what I was looking for. It's always clean and they keep the grounds good. For those who don't want the cottage, they have the other part where you'd be inside most of the time, you have a porch. I like it because it was a 1-level. Food is always on time. The food I like really because it is fresh cooked on ground. They feed you three times a day then you have maid service come in once a week. They have activities all that you can think of, picking up, taking you to places, going on trips, exercising, bowling, it's plenty of exercise. "
