"I toured Cypress Gardens Apartments, and it's good. The staff who gave the tour was good and nice. The apartment looked very nice. Their apartments have individual kitchens. They have activities that you can go to, like bingo and card games. They have a gym where you can work out. They have a swimming pool. They have a balcony outside the bedroom. You can go out there and stand or sit on the balcony, which overlooks the swimming pool. It's very clean and well-organized."

"My grandmother moved into a two bedroom with a great view. The cost is significantly lower than what she was paying for less space. The food is wonderful, the staff is helpful and the residents are happy. We are pleased so far."

"My mom will be moving in. We like the atmosphere. Their facility is nice. They have nice dining areas, places for the residents to do crafts, and outside areas. They have a big porch on the second floor that's nice for them to sit on, and it backs up to a park. I liked that everyone on the staff was very friendly and nice. They greeted me and were very welcoming. I saw residents that were socializing with one another and eating together. I saw some of them doing crafts together, and some sitting on the porch. It just seemed like a good atmosphere. They seemed to keep the residents busy. I know they take them on outings, take them to church, and that kind of thing. Those are the things that I was looking for more than necessarily amenities. I was looking for the atmosphere and the socialization. I wanted to see that residents don't just stay in their rooms because that's what we want for my mom. The refrigerator and microwave are included, no matter which room you choose. You have to furnish your own hygiene supplies and things like that. I want to bring our own furniture to make the room homier, but I don't know if they furnish it. The staff who showed me around was great. She showed me everything. After I left to tour somewhere else, I called my daughter to meet me back there because I wanted a second opinion. They weren't expecting us, and the staff was very open; she said, "Oh, yes, I'll give you the whole tour, too" without an appointment or anything. So, that was very nice of her. They gave me a box with two little cheesecakes as a gift and I ate those, but I didn't eat a meal. It was really good. We chose assisted living and we're going to start there. I saw the memory care, and the residents were busy there, too. They had them all out in their little area, and they were all doing a project. That was impressive too."

"The Conservatory was wonderful. They were really good, nice-sized apartments with washer and dryer inside. Very pretty. The food was very good. The staff was wonderful. The residents were nice. "

"We visited The Village and the place was clean. It was a high-rise building. What we didn't care for is that it seemed very institutional, but I would absolutely recommend this to others. "

"The Forum at The Woodlands is a wonderful facility that has everything somebody could want. I could go live there. We got Mom a fairly large apartment with an office, a living area, a kitchen, a small dining area, a bedroom, and bathroom. The only problem is getting Mom to take all the services that they provide; they provide more services than she's ready to deal with yet. She still doesn't want anybody to clean her apartment, do her clothes, clean her beddings, or to drive her anywhere. She just refuses to use all those services. They have game nights and movie nights, go out for field trips, go to the library, and go dancing. I think the food is marvelous. They will custom-make anything that Mom wants. Mom has a lot of outside visitors coming by, and they asked her if she wanted a room by the sidewalk so her outside visitors could come in straight from the parking lot. Everybody, including the residents, are very friendly in this place and show a lot of care for her. "

"I had an in-person tour of The Village of River Oaks. It was super close to our house. The staff members were also super nice. The facility was also super clean. The layout was fine. It was just I don't think it would work for us because it was more of an urban feel, I guess, kind of a high-rise living. My dad's going to want more of a country feel, and trees and grass and that kind of stuff."

"I had an in-person tour of Village at Gleannloch Farms. I liked the activities. The rooms were very nice in there. The only thing I didn't like was I thought that it was pretty expensive. They take people to the theater, ball games, and to different places away from the facility, but they also have plenty of activities right there as well. What I liked also is they have a storage area for each room, so that's kind of nice, because when you get an apartment like that they usually don't have any storage, but they had a storage facility for everyone that stays there. I think they just have remodeled a lot of their rooms, and their rooms were very, very nice. There are apartments; we looked at single bedrooms and doubles. The lady was very knowledgeable that we spoke with."

"I went to The Forum at Memorial Woods, but I did not see the apartments. All of the staff seemed to know the residents and called them by name. It was more formal because the men and women wore dresses and coats. The residents looked happy. It looked like they were going somewhere when I was there. No one was idle or waiting around. They were out and about and some were going to get a haircut. It was active. It's like walking into an apartment complex. They were very accommodating and friendly."

"The Landing at Augusta Woods Senior Living is brand new. We were there as visitors and looked like it was well-managed. They have other places nationwide and I liked that everything was clean and nice. The rooms were quite good, especially the deluxe one-bedroom. It had a good amount of space, considering it's a one-bedroom. It had a smaller refrigerator and smaller counter space than the regular kitchen in a regular house, but that's not that bad. The dining room was very nice and the food was good. The service was a little slow as they were short on the waitstaff, but they're working on that. They have quite a few activities listed. Once a month, somebody comes in and gives lectures to them. The staff was very nice and very friendly, too. They have this little program called ambassadors. So, whenever somebody is new or visiting, they picked a person that was very akin to what you are going through or the kind of lifestyle you have. That's your person who kind of stays and hangs around you. Since we're both in the military, our ambassador was a man that was also in the Air Force. When everybody was coming into the dining room, you could see the tables with all the names. They wanted everybody to grab their own name and set it with them. So, when a new person was walking around, she could start seeing everybody's name and whoever she sat down with, the names of the people she was sitting with were right there. I thought that was nice."

"Forest in the Woodlands appeared to be the best place for us because it had all of the things we need in the future. All of the people were really friendly, and everybody liked living there. All of the people we talked to have been there for six or seven years. The staff was good. There were lots of activities, which was surprising. It was spacious. "

"I'm staying here and the facility is very nice, the staff is very nice and cooperative, and I really like my room. They have good activities here and I like them. I'm in a wheelchair and they have video games, which is really nice for me because I'm unable to get around. I have a scooter but it's still hard to get around. They have a lot of things that are virtual which is nice. They have art classes which I love. They have someone who comes in and teaches about technology and I love that. We have something new here, a clinic that does occupational therapy and physical therapy so that's great. I love the facility and the apartments are very nice. I have a very nice apartment, it's just what I wanted. It's hardwood floors, it has a complete kitchen with everything stainless steel, it's all topnotch, I really enjoyed it. I have a glass door shower, it's just wonderful. I'm in a wheelchair and have plenty of space to move around here."
