"Our experience with The Heights on Valley Ranch was very good. What we liked about them were the very responsive caretakers where if we would ask a question or bring up a concern, they responded very quickly to it. They had a very nice dining facility. Mom was having difficulty swallowing so if we weren't there, they had someone with her during meals to help her, and she responded very well to that. Initially, mom was in a two-person room, which was very tight and difficult to visit. There was only one chair in her section. It was her first day in the facility so they were kind of assessing what her needs were going to be. They wound up moving her to an observation room so she could be near the nurse's station and they keep a close eye on her. In that room, she was just the only one there with extra seating, which was very nice for the family. Her stay there was all covered by Medicare, but comparing it to other facilities, the pricing seemed to be appropriate. Their attention to detail was very good when they had to transport Mom to the hospital. After returning her from the hospital, they made sure that all of her papers made it with her so that the hospital knew who to contact. With Alzheimer's, that's very important. I was very, very pleased with all of their consideration and how they handled that."

"My sister was in rehab at Kingwood Medical Center twice. It's a very good facility. They saved her life, and I would rate them very highly. The staff was wonderful and all nice. I never saw any of them get upset even if we call them every 2 minutes. They don't have a dining room there. It's like a hospital with a hospital bed, and they bring the food and put it on their tray. It was good, and they had a dietitian come in and discuss the diet and whatever she needed. "

"The Skilled Nursing section of Park Manor has been a good experience during a difficult time. The staff has treated my mother with dignity and kindness. The physical therapists and occupational therapists really motivate her to work hard, and get stronger so she can go back home. The Wound Care has been excellent. The admin staff has been very responsive as well. Mother loves their food as well."

"My mother is in Crimson Heights Health & Wellness. It's very nice and brand new. The nurses and the nurse's aides are very nice to her and taking very good care of her. They accept Medicaid, which was a big factor. The rooms are spacious and have good storage. They have two big physical therapy gyms on-site."

"My mother was at Encompass Health Rehabilitation. Her room was fine. She did have a roommate, but she complained that the roommate had to sleep with the TV on and that she had a breathing problem. She was pleasant enough, but she made a lot of noise in her sleep. Other than that, the rehab was extremely helpful and professional. My mother complained about the food. By the time she got her food, it was cold, and most of the vegetables were soggy. Nevertheless, the place itself was very nice and clean."

"I visited a friend here who was at the facility for rehab. The building is older but was extremely clean. The nurses aides were friendly and attentive. The nurses seemed vested in their patients. I had a concern that I spoke with the administrative team about and we received immediate satisfactory results. Overall this has been a good experience. "

"We placed my friend at Fall Creek Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center. She was doing inpatient rehab, OT, PT, and skilled nursing care, and then we just transitioned her to the long-term care side. Everyone is very attentive. If you ask for something, you don't have to wait around. They're very quick to try to help you solve a problem. They're very friendly. My friend says nothing but good things about the care that they give her and the help that they give her. The PT and OT team are phenomenal. They worked hard with her every day and were patient and kind. So, we've had no problems. They always have activities, like most facilities. Everything that they've done for the residents, everyone seems to be very happy and satisfied all the time. The rooms are always kept clean. The halls always look great. Everything's well decorated and well-lit. It is very nice. It never smells. I've only had the food once, but it was tolerable. It's cafeteria food, basically, but they have a good variety on the menu. They have a posted activity schedule in the rooms, in the halls, and on the windows. There's always someone in the activity room. So, even if there's not something going on, I've gone up there even in the evening time, and they leave the room open for people to read or do puzzles or listen to music, but they have structured activities all the time. I think she's getting great service and a nice facility for what Medicare is paying (she's a Medicare patient). The administrative staff did a phenomenal job working to transition her and get her approval. They transitioned her to traditional Medicare off of one of her Medicare HMOs. So, it is providing reimbursement and services for her while she was in the facilities and what she had with her Medicare HMO. So, they seemed to be in her best interest and we appreciated that."

"When we first walked into The Heights of North Houston, we experienced the hospitality. They greeted us at the door. Of course, we had an appointment to tour the place, and so immediately the staff took us around to the various facilities. We looked at the doubles and we looked at the singles units. Everything was very nice and very clean. I smelled the food and it smelled wonderful. The aroma of the food hit us at the door when we first walked in. When you first walk in, you see the foyer area where they have the piano and the living area where everybody would meet. They would do popcorn and ice cream every day. As we walked through, we saw the huge dining room where everybody would come to eat. They have a breakout room where you could go in and meet your family members if you want to have a meeting with just your family members. They have a craft room where they do arts and crafts."

"On May 1, 2023, after surgery for a broken hip, Memorial Hermann Hospital of The Woodlands suggested I go to Park Manor of the Woodlands for therapy to learn how to walk again. Memorial Hermann screwed me as they never told me my insurance policy would allow for a private room. Park Manor only has semi-private rooms. The main reason to go to rehab is for the physical therapy. I give Amber with Park manor 5 stars. She is excellent as is the rest of the therapy staff. You are only allowed 6 hours of therapy in a week. There are 168 hours in a week so you get therapy for 3.5% of the total week. This facility has a design where there are 4 hallways with patient rooms that extend off of a main area that is carpeted. The hallways are floored with tile about 75 yards long. But every 10 yards or so, there is a patch of carpet about 15 yards long. Have you ever tried wheeling yourself in a wheelchair across carpet? Congratulations on a stupid design. The semi private rooms like room 408 are small. There is room for 2 beds and there is a small bathroom with a sink and a toilet. There are grab bars on the walls. If you are in room 408, there are stains that resemble blood behind the grab bar. There are 2 tv’s about 23 inch wide. Room 408 had 1 tv that could get streaming but not the other. I asked about the WIFI password. They finally gave it to me after the fifth day. The ac unit did not work and they finally changed it out after the second day. After that it worked well. The beds were not comfortable, had old style non electronic controls that were hard to use and I did notice that the beds did not have wheels on the floor. They had to be cranked down. Good thing there was no fire. This is a wonderful place if you want to lose weight. I lost at least 10 pounds in 2 weeks. Typical lunch is a cold, dried out 3-ounce piece of pork chop with cold mashed potatoes. Ice cream cup is like eating cold soup. My wife brought me some apples and cheese crackers. Get used to ordering food delivery. Ambulance service to Park manor from Memorial Hermann was covered in insurance but leaving Park manor is considered transportation services and there is a $290 co-pay. Go eat a meal at Park Manor and look at the beds and rooms yourself before you sentence a loved one to this place. "

"Room was very nice and cleaned meticulously everyday. “Staff “ was very professional and met every need/request with a smile! Limited activities somewhat due to Patient safety Covid priority. Short term and long term guests treated with dignity and respect. I smile thinking about my time there. Blessed. CY"

"My wife is at The Woodlands Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. I don't go over there too often, but they seem to take good care of her. She's combative since she had a stroke. She doesn't want to take her medicine or none of that stuff. The facility is pretty nice looking. She has just a regular room, and it's got two beds. It's a two-people room. The hallways are pretty long. They're pretty nice people and they seem to be pretty caring and helpful. They do a good job. I would recommend them. They give the same care that they did when she was in the hospital. She is in rehab because they're teaching her how to talk and how to walk. She can't do either one after her last stroke."

"My mom is at Regent Care Center of the Woodlands. That's the only one I went to because it came highly recommended by a friend who had her mother there. I toured it, liked it, and put my mom there. It's clean, and when I toured it with my friend, she had her mother in that facility. Her mother died in 2005, and there were several workers that still remembered her, so they retained their employees, and I was impressed with that. The staff have been great. In terms of activities, there's an activity center there, and there are things to do, but my mom can't do any of them. There is a hair salon there if you want to get your hair done. There is a little workout room where you can do some physical therapy. They have a TV room where you can go and watch TV with other people if you want. The place is clean. For the location, I think the value is fine. "

"We have gone to Capstone Healthcare Estates at Veterans Memorial because we have someone there that we know. We visited with her, and so far, I have been very pleased with what I've seen over there. It's a nice place. The people there are very friendly and very caring. The person's room that I visit is usually very tidy. She has a nice room. She has a television set and a small refrigerator, and there's a bathroom, too. She has a roommate. It seems like the owners are always trying to do something to get the families to come and participate in the event with whoever is in the nursing home, and I think that's really nice. There is this area where they get together and they all watch TV together if they want to. They can socialize with each other. Then, not far from that area is a nice cafeteria where they all can go and sit down and have lunch or dinner or whatever together. The food looks very good. I look at it and think, "Wow, this is good." I have tried their food. They had a Thanksgiving event where we had a chance to go and participate with the person, and we had dinner together with her. It was very good. The food was excellent! The decorations were really great, too. You can tell they really thought about what they were doing and how they would do it. They had four people at a table. They served wine, too. It was really nice."
