"I chose Avanti at Augusta Pines for my mother because of its proximity to my home, the aesthetics, the room, the light, the daily activities that were there, and the structure of how they plan their day. The facility is absolutely clean. The food is sometimes outstanding and sometimes it's good. The staff is amazing. My mother's apartment is excellent. It's modern and very well laid out. They have a few patio areas where you can sit and enjoy the weather. They have an exercise room, a beautiful dining room, and a very nice meeting room where they have happy hour and karaoke."

"I loved the Forum, it was large. It was a really nice community and you feel like you're in a little small town. I liked the fact that you can have different areas as your aging or mind progresses. You have the independent living and you can go into assisted or memory care. The grounds are beautiful and the food tables are nice and like in a cruise ship. The rooms were clean and spacious and the ones I saw have their own back porch which was nice. My friend there runs a beauty salon. You can get massages and your nails cut. That would be the place I would want to live. "

"The Village at The Woodlands Waterway was way too pricey, and I was not allowed to have a car, but everything was beautiful there. The staff were very nice. The dining room was very beautiful with very comfortable chairs. You have a menu that you can choose from, and the staff waits on you. They have cards, bingo, a nice computer room, buses for shopping, a church that comes in, and they do your hair; they take care of everything. "

"I recently took a tour of Avanti at Vision Park with my mother. Beautiful place! It was like a community within a community if that makes sense. The staff was so friendly, the art décor was beautiful, and we could not believe all of the amenities they offered. There was a salon, massage place, fitness place, fine dining, an arts/crafts studio, and the memory care location was unique. Oh, and the food. It was so fresh and delicious like a 5-star restaurant. The rooms were spacious, clean, modern, and had a great view. The residents enjoyed watching TV, drinking wine, and socializing. There's a courtyard where residents can relax. The staff walked us around and answered any questions we had. Very knowledgable, polite, and understanding. The memory care wing was designed specifically for residents that have dementia. The walls, decor, lighting, and hallways help residents not to get lost. The food was fresh and not processed. If they didn't have something, they would make it. I would definitely recommend Avanti for anyone who has a loved one that needs help. If you feel overwhelmed, Avanti has what you need. "

"I had heard about Woodhaven from a family member who had a loved one there in Memory Care. I went to see for myself. I found the staff to be kind, caring, and helpful. The rooms are nicely sized with private bathrooms. The food is not gourmet, but good, and my father was very pleased, especially with the desserts! The staff also keeps the residents busy playing Bingo, painting, puzzles, watching television, etc. There are also Special Programs for residents to enjoy, such as magicians, musicians, and other artists for the residents to enjoy. I am very glad that my father was able to spend his final days there."

"Village Green Alzheimer's Care Home-Champions was nice. It was very expensive, but it was very nice and it didn't have many residents. I ruled it out because of the price. It's a very nice facility and it's right on the golf course there. They had a nice patio area where you could go out there and enjoy nature. The person who toured us didn't have that much information and that was someone who I think took over, but we asked some questions that she didn't know the answers to, so I don't think she was a regular person that would have been touring. It was very clean and like a new place, and it was beautiful there. It's well maintained. I remember they didn't have showers in the rooms themselves. They had to go out of the hall to a shower where someone would help them. It was big showers, and they would have to share those."

"This is the 3rd assisted living my mother has been in. We are so pleased with the care and attention mom receives. She has many health issue which the owner (a nurse) and the staff stay on top of. She has not had to go to the hospital in over a year. Great place "

"My mom moved into Village Green Alzheimer's Care Home - Conroe. It's clean, small, and the staff there are very caring, open, and really good with the residents. They have an outdoor patio. The common area is open and bright. There were some other homes that I toured that were also clean, but they just seemed very dark and dingy to me. There were two homes that I toured that were just awful, smelly, and their furniture was all worn out and old. You could tell that they didn't have money to even replace some of their awful furniture, but Village Green is very clean, bright, and has a very bright outlook. It is just bright and cheerful. They have a beauty salon, and my mom already had her hair done; she loved it. They have a community dog that just lives in the facility. They allow pets, so there is another resident that has a dog. They only allow us to visit in the patient's room. My mom goes to a lot of activities that she has talked about."

"The people of New Haven Assisted Living and Memory Care of Spring are very caring. My husband has been doing well, and I'm very pleased with them. He was in the assisted side, and we have all decided that he needed to go to the memory care side for his own safety and the safety of all the residents. They were very amenable to move him, and he has been doing fine over there. The staff is quite up front with information and calling me when they need something or do something, so the communication is very good. The meals are included, as well as laundry and activities. The building is very pretty, clean, and very nice. I have seen the food and it looked fine, too. He hasn't been there long enough to give them a rating of five, but if he's going to be there longer, I will certainly put it up to a five."

"The Wellington is my favorite; that’s probably the one I’m going to go with. It’s a quaint, smaller community who do a really good job of making it feel homey and like it's a connected, extended family. It’s a smaller community with 20 residents, but they’re in good shape with staff and help. They have an RN usually they’re there during the daytime and care providers to help them do the daily routine of the residents. The rooms are good and have a kitchenette, and a washer and dryer. The amenities are good. It’s quieter, tucked away, scenic, and has a lot of landscaping around. Physical therapy is available in their other building. "
