"We love Woodhaven Village. It is a little farther than the other place, but it is closer to everything that my parents have. However, it is way too expensive. It was newer than the other place, but it was nice to look at. It's a community for seniors. I believe they provide three meals a day, and I think they also have the assisted living next to it. The staff who gave the tour was very nice."

"My mother in law has lived at The Wellington Assisted Living Section for 51/2 years. Their staff has become extended family to her, as well as her children. We appreciate their care and concern for our mother and mother in law. We have good communication with the staff and hair dresser there. We would recommend it for you or your loved one. We also like it because it only houses about 20 residents. It is smaller than some, but so easy to get around in. All the wings lead to the living and dining area. Everyone is friendly and very helpful. "

"My mom moved into Village Green Alzheimer's Care Home - Conroe. It's clean, small, and the staff there are very caring, open, and really good with the residents. They have an outdoor patio. The common area is open and bright. There were some other homes that I toured that were also clean, but they just seemed very dark and dingy to me. There were two homes that I toured that were just awful, smelly, and their furniture was all worn out and old. You could tell that they didn't have money to even replace some of their awful furniture, but Village Green is very clean, bright, and has a very bright outlook. It is just bright and cheerful. They have a beauty salon, and my mom already had her hair done; she loved it. They have a community dog that just lives in the facility. They allow pets, so there is another resident that has a dog. They only allow us to visit in the patient's room. My mom goes to a lot of activities that she has talked about."

"We have chosen Sundale Senior Living for my mom. It has just worked in our parameters of what we needed for her. She is in level 1 assisted living. Some staff are more caring than others. But the facility is nice. It's newly remodeled and it doesn't smell. It's just nice. They have a hair salon, and somebody comes around and does nails, I think. My mom hasn't used that yet. They have a courtyard but no gym. They have a little outdoor covered area. My mom just moved in two weeks ago."

"Truly amazing. The cuisine was rich and they had two choices. They had beautiful courtyards and the whole facility was beautifully decorated. The tour was awesome and Toby and Cheryl really made us feel at home. Toby answered all of my questions and he really put my aunt at ease. What a true gem in the middle of Walker County. "

"We visited The Forum. It had more grounds and little living areas where you can go and sit down. We liked that one the best, and they provided transportation to different places. They were very friendly in showing us around. The price was comparable. "

"I did visit The Village at the Woodlands Waterway, and this is a beautiful facility. It's brand new, but very expensive. It's a high rise building, and I knew my mother would not do well in that type of environment. It felt almost like an institution. The rooms that I saw, some of them were little on the small side, and it would make it difficult for my mother to navigate in the rooms with the power chair. The staff was very nice. When I went there, I only saw one activity going on, but I saw their calendar of events, which looked promising. "

"The tour I had was really good. Lindsay was the person that I met with and she's fabulous. The food was good. She brought us one to our house. She is so outgoing. It was a nice place. It seemed modern, and clean, and the residents seemed happy. They had lots of activities going on, and I saw all the different sizes of the rooms. On Sundays, they go to church. It looks like they have a lot of arts and crafts. They had a movie room. They could go outside, which was nice. They had a beauty salon, a courtyard, and a library that had books on the shelves."

"This is the 3rd assisted living my mother has been in. We are so pleased with the care and attention mom receives. She has many health issue which the owner (a nurse) and the staff stay on top of. She has not had to go to the hospital in over a year. Great place "

"The Landing at Augusta Woods Senior Living was a brand-new place. We just felt that it wasn't established. They were still adding things and just opening up, so they weren't complete on that, but it was a very nice facility. We're looking for a more established place. We toured the independent living. The dining facility, recreation area, and theater room were very nice. They had a snack area where you could get snacks and things. The rooms themselves were very nice. The staff was good. They were new, but they did answer all questions that we had."

"My husband has moved into Valiente Senior Living and Memory Care. He is adjusting well and I think what he likes the most is that there are activities that he can enjoy. The staff is very nice. His room is adequate. And they were very helpful. The dining area is very nice. It's kind of a ranch-style home or facility. I've not eaten the food there, but from what I understand, my husband is okay with it. There hasn't been anything he doesn't like. The place is well-kept, too."

"We toured Avanti Senior Living at Augusta Pines. I like the fact that they serve meals multiple times a day. They have a facility for working out and exercising, and a place to get your hair done, nails done, and feet done. They have a maid service to come in and clean for you. The kind of things that we were looking for is the one that helps us cook and clean. However, it's really kind of expensive. The staff member who gave the tour was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. She spent the time with us, so it's been good. The place was nice, clean, and organized. It's laid out really nice. The dining area was really nice and clean. There was a menu up there, and it looked good."
