"Atria Collier Park was more expensive and much larger than other places. It had lots of amenities and a large, full-sized swimming pool. It was immaculate, posh, and sophisticated, but it was a really big community. They had waiters in tuxes doing restaurant-style meals."

"We found Brookdale Dowlen Oaks for my mother-in-law. They were able to accommodate all the needs that we had financially in terms of the staff, the length of time they've been in business, and they had really good remarks when we looked into it. Plus, we talked to a couple of people who worked there that family members knew, and they highly recommend them. They've been working there for a long time, so we've had some inside information too. We haven't had anything that we're upset about at all. In fact, we're really happy that they keep us in touch concerning the whole COVID thing. We get emails constantly. They keep on top of things, they've done really well, and my mother-in-law seems really happy there. She's happy with it. They don't have too much in terms of activities right now. They have a lot of things available, but they've developed COVID. Two staff members and two residents came up with it, so they've had to lock everything down again."

"Actually, my first choice was here. It's very clean and very updated. That's what I wanted, but it just didn't work out in our favor. It was the first place I looked at, and I was overly impressed. I would have no problem recommending Lucas Place. I met several of the staff members. Everything was fine. The staff introduced me to people and a lot of staff while we were walking through. They offered meals. They actually offered everything. The staff said we wouldn't need to bring anything. They provided everything. Anybody would like it there."

"I've only been here less than a week in Sabine Place and I'm quarantined. I have a lot of people checking on me, the food is very good, it's clean, and everybody is really nice. I don't really know how it's gonna go because I'm quarantined for COVID. It's a small place, there are only 36 apartments which is at full capacity, and there are only 36 residents. Of all the assisted living places, this fit me better because I'm in a wheelchair and things are at my height. Most of them are not wheelchair-accessible. They've offered me puzzle books and all that sort of things, but I haven't had any interactivity with the residents. They don't offer Bridge; that's not their fault that nobody here plays bridge but me."

"My mother can be picky at times, however she has NO complaints about this facility. I agree, this place has the nicest staff, they are very helpful and caring in what they do. The facility offers games like Bingo, Dominoes, etc. There's literally nothing negative to say. The give her physical therapy, games and quizzes to help her mentally. They are present and makes sure that the patients take their medicine. The administrator and her staff does a great job..."

"We visited the Country Dreams assisted living facility while searching for a place for our aunt to live in the area. Right from the start, we could see that they could accommodate all levels of ambulation. The grounds outside were very nicely maintained. The foyer was fresh and bright and cheery with nice decorations and furniture. We could also see that there is also plenty of space to have cookouts, parties and picnics. The colors throughout the building were soothing and comfortable. All of the indoor rooms had plenty of fresh air and light. Each room was beautifully decorated and furnished. Activity rooms were spacious, with comfortable furniture. The seniors can easily socialize, make crafts, play games, watch TV and films and participate in many stimulating activities. All private rooms had a great deal of natural light and fresh air with very comfortable furniture with plenty of space in nicely decorated surroundings. The exercise room at any time and also go on daily walks. Aerobics and yoga classes are offered. The residents go on trips to visit the many places like eateries at casual and fine restaurants and to enjoy the many cultural events offered. The dining room was quite nice, with plenty of space. The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The residents looked very content in their living environment and seemed well cared for by considerate and kind staff. "

"My loved one is at Touched By An Angel, which is a group home in a more provincial neighborhood and seems OK. They have bedrooms, one large living area that they can all come there and meet in, a small kitchen and a couple bathrooms. The people are good. It looks a little bit substandard, not fresh or new or anything. "

"My mom has moved into Heartfelt Embrace Assisted Living. It's very homey and always clean. I haven't met a staff member there that I don't like. My mom is happy and content there. She said that they spoil her. We're pleased with her being happy, and we know she's in a good place. There are not a whole lot of activities because it's very small. There's just six women living there. It's a house not a facility. Most of them are either sitting in the kitchen at the table eating or in the living area watching TV. My mom is extremely picky with the food. She's been very happy with the food, but one night there was something she didn't like, something with meatballs. One of the ladies called me and said she won't eat. 'What else would she eat?' I said at night she likes corn bread and milk. She went in and made her cornbread. They treat them like family there. They go out of their way to make my mom happy. We're pleased with value for money."
