"We toured Castle Pointe. We had lunch there. It was a very nice tour. Everybody was very pleasant. They start with independent living, and they have very nice cottages available. It's also a bit expensive. The facilities were very clean. They have good flooring. However, there are quite a few people in an apartment complex and there are two elevators, one at one end and one at the other. If there was any kind of emergency and people were handicapped in any way or had difficulty with mobility, getting in and out might be very difficult. I tried their food, and it was very nice. The dining room was lovely. The person who gave the tour was very nice."

"I toured The Gables of Brighton. It was a place that anyone would want to live. The staff was very welcoming and informative, and she made sure that anything I needed or wanted was available to me. They showed me the courtyard, and everything was pleasant to me. Everything was beautiful. The people I've seen have been properly trained in their jobs. They knew what they were doing, and there was no question of them doing their job. They're very pleasant and very happy. The lady who I saw cleaning that day seemed to be a good woman."

"I toured the facility and was pleased with how clean it was. The rooms were larger than I expected. I can’t say anything about the food because I didn’t eat there. I want to thank Kandi for her knowledge of the facility and for showing me around. My mom passed away and she sent flowers. That was so thoughtful. I wanted a full kitchen because I still like to cook and bake. For that reason I did not take an apartment there. If at some point in the future they had one with a full kitchen I would move there. "DeMay Living Center was industrial and very clinical. It's not that clean and had a hospital odor. It needed updating a couple of years ago, and they haven't gotten to it. It was functional, and the people working there seemed nice, but it didn't seem real modern or new. When we walked in, it didn't seem like that's where we wanted to put our mother, so we didn't stay that long. The people there were happy, and everybody was helpful and doing their jobs. Nobody was being mean."

"Our mother was a resident of this facility for 5 years. We couldn't take care of her in her home anymore. Her husband came first and then she joined him. They were very well taken care of. The room was spacious and met their needs. Unfortunately her husband passed away after a few months. The staff did so much to help us get her ready for the funeral. As the years passed, we developed a very unique relationship with all the staff, and we can't say enough good, especially with the activities department. Mom's birthday was in July, and we planned a very special birthday party for her. It was initially planned for outside, but we had an unusual heat wave and last minute plans had to be made, they accomodated us, and Mom so enjoyed her special day with a gathering of friends and family. This is just a little glimpse of what this place is capable of. Her personal care was excellent, and the nursing staff were quick to catch issues that needed to be addressed. We would not hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone looking for a good home for "Mom or Dad", as a matter of fact, we already have!"

"Lyon's Manor is okay. It's not the greatest, but it's not bad. It is close to us, it's decent, and it's affordable for my mother. The staff is great and very nice. The residents do all kinds of different activities for each month. They figure things out together what they want to do. "

"I toured Terrace at Newark. It's very spacious. It has lots of activities to offer. The people were very friendly, and we were able to take care of getting my mother signed up very quickly. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable and answered questions that we had. The place was very clean and very light. It had nice, large hallways and tall ceilings. Everything seemed up-to-date. The atmosphere was very friendly and happy."

"My mother was a patient received excellent care, her children had to just about force her to go home. She loved the staff and the care she recieved. Her and our family would highly recommend to anyone. "

"My parents were former residents of Ashton Place Senior Living. They had an apartment with their own car, although the place provided transportation if they needed it. They have all different levels of care, but my parents were independent. It was very nice, well-kept, and well-maintained. The staff was very good, friendly, and accommodating. Before Covid hit, my dad said the food was excellent. He was very impressed and loved every meal. He spoke highly of it. When Covid hit, I think they lost a lot of staff, and the meals became more mundane like having spaghetti sauce out of a jar. For activities, they have organized bingo and Mardi Gras parties. They even had local musicians come in. They also had Sunday services right there, and they didn't even have to go to church. It was not cheap, but they did go above and beyond."

"My mom moved into Vienna Gardens. The general appearance was awesome; it's very nice, they keep it extremely clean, and it's decorated beautifully. They had a lot of things for the residents to do. Everyone was really helpful, we had aides twice a day for her, and the administrator staff was just wonderful. So far, I've been extremely satisfied with the services. Seniors can live there independently, but they have modified assisted living; it just depends on what the residents need. They have crafts and games, and so far, mom has played Bingo and cards. She's starting to socialize. The dining area was very quaint, the food was really good, they had choices, and they can go and eat anytime. "

"I visited Clifton Spring. My experience was very good. The people were very helpful and stable. The location was very convenient for me. They had an activities person there but very limited amenities. Their dining area was small. There were only 25 residents there. They need to improve on modernizing the facility a little bit. The people I talked to had been there a long time. I liked that it was associated with the hospital, so it was tied very closely to a medical facility. "

"Everyone seemed to have high esteem. Food was good and everyone was well taken care of. Enjoyed seeing each other for dinner and talking about their days. Workers were friendly and respected the elderly and vice versa. Always had some activities and special events that happened. Elderly loved looking at the dinner menus and describing their favorite meals. Very polite and generous and loved to get some extra attention. From what I could tell, they received good care, as none of them ever seemed to complain. They had daily exercise that many went to and seemed to enjoy. They lived in apartments that were clean and had enough space for them to complete activities. Others who I have spoken to about the facility seem to have good things to say as well. All in all, i think the facility was well kept and enjoyable. "
