"Everything in Emeritus is nice, including the scenery, the people, and the food . The staff is very good. The one-bedroom apartment I saw was roomier and very nice. The dining room was nice, and the food as well. They had diverse activities. The residents looked healthy, active, and very good. I liked the people there. "

"My father recently moved into The Hearth at Castle Gardens, and the experience has been very good and positive. Everything has been great - staff, other residents, the apartment, services, activities, and meals. No complaints, at all. The community is not very large, and I think that is a plus - it's more home-like and easier to know the staff and residents. My father quickly acquired new friends, with whom he shares meals, card games, and other activities. The activities are plentiful and are a good mix of physical and mental exercise, and they encourage companionship with other residents. The recent holiday party was first class! I highly recommend this facility! "

"I visited Elizabeth Church Manor with my son and daughter-in-law and loved it. Both of the buildings were so clean, so neat, and so welcoming. I wish I could move in there tomorrow. There were several shared rooms, but at 82, I don’t want to share a room with anyone. They were all clean, spacious, and neat. I kept asking my son, “Have you filled the application yet? Have you heard anything?” because if I had my way, I’d be there this minute. The staff was very nice, but I didn’t have that much contact because we went there and took a tour on a Sunday. The people I saw were very nice. There was a chapel, which impressed me, and, as far as I know, it was available for people to go in anytime of the day. I do a lot of needlework and there was a whole room set up with large tables not too far from the room that I hope I will be getting. I was very impressed. "

"The staff at Good Shepherd Fairview Home have been very helpful in securing a community for my mother. It’s in a city that is well known to us. We saw the one-bedroom apartment with a kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom with safety features, walk-in shower, individual control of air conditioning, and heating. Everything is included, except telephone. "

"We visited The Pavilion at Vestal Park. We only saw assisted living there. It was very clean, very friendly, and had a lot of activities going on. The rooms were a good size. The bathroom with a walk-in shower was very nice. The administration there for the assisted living was very good. The staff was very good and they interacted well with the patients, and they were very forthcoming with information. They have a doctor on staff, too, all day. They have therapy, and they have single rooms."

"My mother is in Ideal Senior Living Center. We're trying to get her into assisted living, but she'd been in quarantine for two weeks and now she's in quarantine yet again in rehab due to exposure. We haven't been in the building only because the facility is locked down. She said the food is good. The only thing we're able to do is phone calls. The care has been excellent. When we call them, they're very receptive to our questions. They've never given us a problem getting the phone to her when we need to speak with her because she's got dementia. It's all been good. The only problem we're having is getting her transitioned because every time she is on the verge of being moved there's an exposure, and she gets added another 14 days, which is frustrating her. The floor she's supposed to be on was quarantined. When the quarantine got lifted and she got off quarantine, then there was another exposure, so she's back into quarantine. She's been in quarantine for six weeks now and that's the only concern we have. We're trying to transition her, but we can't get her settled in and it bothers her a lot. Right now, she's under the impression she's just going there to show us that she can be on her own. The caseworker has been really good, but I haven't heard from her in probably a week now. I've had no complaints with them at all. They've been very receptive to our call. They send a notice out to the family on what's going on to keep the families aware of exposures and when they have to change the quarantine. They're doing the best they can. I used to work in a nursing home, so I know what they're dealing with. My mother said the food is very good, and she will let you know if she doesn't like it. They're doing the best they can to keep us apprised of everything, including their outcome. They've helped us make our decision."
