The apartment at The Hearth at Castle Gardens was nice. It's about the size that we would have expected. They had a card area. They had a library. They had a bigger area where you could be with everybody. They had quite a few activities on their schedule. It looked like they're dining was well organized. I talked to somebody that I knew who is in the apartment part of it but still comes down for meals and she says the food is very good. I only talked to the manager and one person at the reception and they were fine. The facility looked well-maintained and it was nice outside. They had a lot of nice plantings outside and they had balconies. I can usually see it from the highway. My friend likes the activities there and she likes the food. The food she says is very good and she's kind of fussy. She says she's put on some weight since she's moved in there.

I toured Brookdale Castle Gardens. It was a nice facility. That one was easier to find as far as the location and everything. All the rooms were private only, which made it a little bit more expensive. They give you a single bed, a dresser, a nightstand, and a couple of other little fixtures. There's still room for personalization if somebody wants to bring some of their things there.

I love the apartments that they offer at Brookdale Castle Gardens. They offer total independent living where you have your own apartment, one- or two-bedroom. However, it doesn't have skilled care. You would have to move from there to another facility rather than staying in the same place, so that was the only drawback. The staff were very caring, very friendly, and attentive to the residents. We heard the residents speak highly of the staff. It wasn't practiced; it wasn't staged. Nobody was expecting us but the administration. We kind of saw things in their true genuine state. The residents came up to us and said, 'This is a nice place. Are you coming?'

We visited Brookdale Castle Gardens. The setup is nice. The thing I liked least is that it's private pay. The person who did the tour was very good. They had two options for every meal. They were playing bingo, but I'm told that the weekend is slower. The rooms were fairly good-sized. They don't take Medicaid.

I went to The Hearth at Castle Gardens. I liked the availability of the dining room. I liked the availability of the schedule that they had for driving people if they didn't want to drive themselves. They had a shuttle bus. The people I met in the hall and the people that I worked with in the building were very nice and very kind. The thing I liked the least was they had one piece of exercise equipment for people to work out. Otherwise, you had to go to a room and do sitting aerobics, that type of thing. You either have to go to a sitting aerobics class or do this one piece of exercise equipment with a trainer. I can do a lot more than that. I had asked if I could bring my tricycle and they said there's nowhere to park it unless you put it in your room. The facility was lovely, well-kept, and very clean. What I was looking at was independent living, but I understand that they had help that could come to your room if you reached the point that you couldn't take a shower yourself. The staff was fantastic.

We had an in-person tour of the Hearth at Castle Gardens. We like that they offer meals. Everything is right there. The staff members were very nice and helpful. We saw a gym and a salon. The upkeep and cleanliness were all good. It's within a few miles of restaurants and stores.

We toured The Hearth at Castle Gardens. It was a nice facility. It was clean, and all the staff were super nice. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was great. The rooms were clean and well-kept. I saw a studio and a one-bedroom. They're nice like big bathrooms, nice-sized bedrooms, and nice walk-in kitchens. There's a full kitchen with a refrigerator and a stove.

I found The Hearth at Castle Gardens for my husband and he's very happy there. This is the second home he has been in, and this one is perfect. They care about him, they're taking care of him, and they keep me informed of what's going on. The reason why I chose this community was the caring staff that was there.

My parents are now residing at The Hearth at Castle Gardens. They've been very helpful, and they've gone beyond. When I'm asking them to do different things in there, they would take care of it. Of course, the storm didn't help things here for a few days, but they're finally getting back into running things the way they would normally run them. If you ask them something, they take care of it. My parents have only been there a week, and three days of that was when the storm hit. They have a lot of things on their agenda to do, so that's good. Right now, the food is okay. In three days, they had to have food brought to them because of the storm. They have a bigger kitchen in the room. They don't have to cook. The room is very clean. They clean the rugs, and they make sure they are clean. They painted and fixed things and did some things that I asked them to do. The staff have all been very nice. The building itself is very nice. They have everything they could want. The dining hall looks like a little dinette, which is cute. They have a gym room for them to do exercises, balance things, or games. They get together and play bingo once in a while.

We toured The Hearth at Castle Gardens and we looked at both the assisted and memory care. My mom's kind of in-between and she could go either way. She could do the assisted but eventually, go to memory care. It's beautiful, welcoming, clean, and just a very nice place. It has lots of flowers and things like that. The staff was all wonderful. They knew every single person by name, all the people that were there. The rooms were nice. They're not tiny, tiny, and they had different sizes to accommodate different needs. If they're in memory care, they don't have the kitchen, but in assisted living, they have a kitchen. The place was just very open and has easy access. They had a salon and they had areas for games and little activities for people. There was a TV room, too. There was also an enclosed garden for the memory care people. It's all nice. I think everyone I had any contact with was very friendly.

My mom was a resident of The Hearth at Castle Gardens. The property is quite beautiful. It's easy for drive-up and check-in. The phones are answered. You're not put on hold for some time. When I am visiting, I'm not sure about the meals. My mom was going to the dining room. We either visit her after her meal or leave before the next meal. The rooms are quite large. The residents can have their own personal belongings in there. I think the family members bring in changes of clothing. The residents are in clothes, not in gowns, but they're in their own personal wardrobe. They have ample space in the bathrooms, and each resident gets their own bathrooms with plenty of space if they should have a walker or a wheelchair. They have nice lighting. The staff is pleasant and accommodating.

I like everything about The Hearth at Castle Gardens. It was a nice size. It wasn't too large or overwhelming. The staff members were all very friendly. It would allow my mother to age in place, since they have memory care. They had asked when I visited by myself, what my mother's interests were. Chocolate is one of her favorite interests in the whole wide world. Their chef actually made chocolate chip cookies for her, so they are just so nice and so attentive; no pressure, no push. It just felt very homey and welcoming. Even my mother was impressed. She said it was not what she was expecting. The rooms were large. She could have her dog there with her. Everything that she had thought would be deal breakers in looking for a place, they had. It would accommodate her needs. If the time comes, this is definitely the place that she would go. The activities and everything was just really what she said she wanted. They have all sorts of activities, including virtual reality. They have headsets. Once or twice a week, they do virtual reality field trips. They also provide transportation to do trips, shopping trips, and other things. It's located right near a walking path, and my mom likes to walk with her dogs. They have a walking club, sing-alongs, and a whole schedule of varied activities throughout the day for all sorts of interests.

The tour we had at The Hearth at Castle Gardens was great. The woman that showed us was knowledgeable and helpful. It was a nice place. They would help with medication and bathing. The dining room was nice. They would do laundry. It was clean. There were no residents doing anything when we were there, but I guess they have puzzles. They have a library, and they go on trips.

My Father lived at Castle Gardens for years and he loved it there. They gave him his independence but always looked out for him. They loved my father and he loved them. I highly recommend Castle Gardens. The staff is wonderful, food good and the administrator is so kind. If you have a parent that needs some help but can no longer be safe alone in their own home Castle Gardens is an excellent option.

The Hearth at Castle Gardens left the best impression when I visited. We met with an employee and she gave us a tour of the available room, the library, the dining area, and we met with some of the residents. It was a very good experience. Meeting the residents was good, there was even one gentleman who just moved in there and said he loved it. He was very pleased with his move even though he didn't want to be there at the start. There was a library, they transport people to local shopping areas like the grocery store and doctors' appointments, and things like that. They also have some kind of little exercise programs. We haven't sampled the food, but one resident we talked to said that the food was very good.

My mom has been staying at The Hearth at Castle Gardens for two or three years. Theyve been very good with her and go out of their way to help her, so I have nothing but good things to say about them. They manage all of her medicines, too. They have exercise programs and extra security. My mom has a single room, but they're not allowed to have appliances or food in the rooms. It's basically a room and a bathroom. They eat in the dining hall and make sure my mom goes down. They have a list of things that they're constantly doing in their shared area, like musicians, exercise programs, and singalongs.

I liked the Hearth at Castle Gardens and its rooms. It was clean, and the people were friendly. There weren’t any activities happening at the time I was there, but they showed me a calendar of events. The room they showed me was an efficiency with a small kitchenette, living room, and a separate bedroom and separate bathroom. Everything was good, and it was very easy to get to.

We visited Castle Gardens, and it was very nice. They gave us a good tour, it was more than adequate for me, and it met what I was looking for. I thought it was physically pleasing and clean, and the apartments were fine. I thought the services provided were fine, the meals and menu looked good, and the director was nice and personable. I liked talking with her.

The Hearth at Castle Gardens is a wonderful place! My Mom lives there and feels safe, comfortable, and enjoys the family atmosphere. Everyone is very caring and it starts at the Front Desk with Carol when you walk in the door! We (Mom's family) are very happy she is living there. We know she is safe, in a very nice apartment and well cared for. Thank you to all at The Hearth at Castle Gardens!

We were very impressed when we toured The Hearth. They informed us of what we needed to know, what to do, and to call them if we had any questions. The staff were awesome. They were well trained in how to deal with dementia patients. I thought the setup was perfect for somebody in the state of mind that my mother-in-law was in. They had a nice patio where the residents can go outside even though they can’t leave.

My father recently moved into The Hearth at Castle Gardens, and the experience has been very good and positive. Everything has been great - staff, other residents, the apartment, services, activities, and meals. No complaints, at all. The community is not very large, and I think that is a plus - it's more home-like and easier to know the staff and residents. My father quickly acquired new friends, with whom he shares meals, card games, and other activities. The activities are plentiful and are a good mix of physical and mental exercise, and they encourage companionship with other residents. The recent holiday party was first class! I highly recommend this facility!

Castle Gardens has apartments for their assisted living, so that was really nice. They have one-bedroom apartments with a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom.
