My mother had to transition to a nursing home setting and I was extremely disappointed that we had to leave the Hampshire House. I have only good things to say about my mothers stay. "

"My friend will move into Chenango Valley Home. I would describe it as desirable, excellent, professional, and clean. They have attentive staff. Kim was excellent. She was very informative. She has been helpful with questions and follow-up. She was very detailed when she was answering our questions. She was very professional. The apartments are very clean. The condition of the whole overall facility is the reason why we selected this location. That and the way the staff reacted with us. We have seen them having activities like bingo. We toured the dining room, the library, and the community room. Some of the people were on an external tour while we were there. They were off-premises doing a tour, so there were not as many people in-house when we were there because they were out doing a tour. The dining area was very clean and very professional-looking. We did not try the food, but they showed us their menus. They have a set meal item for every meal, but you can order off of a menu, too. They have specials every day and then every day they have three or four other options of food that you can choose."

"The overall appearance and cleanliness of this facility was fantastic; as well as the atmosphere. The patient rooms were spacious, and comfortable. The staff which I interfaced with included: front desk, nurses, aides, doctors, maintenance and those who worked in the kitchen/cafeteria. All of which were pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable in their specific areas of profession. Most of my interaction was with the nurses and aides, who all went above and beyond the call of duty, and went out of their way to make their patients feel at home. My grandmother was 100% satisfied with her 6 week stay at the facility, while in physical rehabilitation for her foot. She was impressed with the meals that were served, compared to other health care/nursing home facilities. The portions were decent and there was a good selection to choose from. I am well pleased with the care she received and would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for the right nursing home for themselves or a loved one. "

"I have been familiar with this facility for about 3 years. My grandmother who is 75 years old resides in this facility. Although the building was rather small, this facility seemed to be above average. The smaller space resulted in more attention to the residents and a more comfortable environment. The staff was superb as well. They treated residents with the upmost respect and provided a sense of comfort for the elders. There were many activities available for the elders for fun. There were recreational centers in the downstairs for optional entertainment daily along with the cafeteria. Lastly, since this facility is located within a small town, the community is very close knit and the elders enjoy many different events the town has to offer for them. Many children and young adults volunteer their time to make the elders feel special and happy. Whether it be playing cards or simply listening to the stories of the residents, these volunteers are a significant factor in the residents life, providing happiness and a sense of comfort. Overall, I am pleased with this facility and believe that the staff quality is one of the best factors of the facility. "
