"My mother is going back to The Arbors where she was originally. She was familiar with it, she had a lot of friends there, and she wanted to return to that community. She was away for nine months. The staff was good. She was happy with them. The rooms were reasonably sized, and the place was kept clean. There was a very big lobby with couches and pianos, so there's always something going on in the lobby. They had music, dancing exercises, and bingo. They kept the people busy. They offered local trips on their bus. "

"I went to Sunrise of Smithtown in person. They were wonderful. It was beautiful. The food looked good, but I didn't get a chance to taste anything there. The staff was very helpful, very nice, and caring. Everything looked lovely."

The home is stunning sitting on an acre of land, it provides a safe outdoor area for my father to take walks, or just sit and relax on a nice day. "The people at Christian Fellowship House seemed very nice, but they had very few single rooms and it was far away from my house. The staff seemed very nice. I don't think they had too much going on. They had a beauty parlor and a nice courtyard. They had a beautiful property. It was old, but it looked clean."

"My mother was in the Arbors for about a year and a half following a hip replacement. This is a social facility, with the emphasis on activities and care. They have a bistro where she and her friends spent many an evening enjoying snacks and talking about the important issues of the day. The have a full calendar of activities and trips nearly every day. This is a nice and reasonably priced facility if you or your loved one is relatively self sufficient but needs a little assistance. I would recommend this facility for people looked at an assisted living environment.. My mother has macular degeneration (which makes her legally blind) but she was able to participate in many of the activities. The staff has a knack for bringing out the fun in most of the residents! "

"Amber Court of Westbury is nice and looks like it is well kept up. The rooms are OK. But I didn't like that there are a lot of multiple rooms. They have an activity room where they can do different things like play cards, games, and crafts. The person who assisted me was very pleasant and answered all my inquiries. "

"We have two family members residing there for a about a year and a half now as of this date. We find the Arbors of Westbury to be an outstanding assisted senior care facility. All the personal employed there are like family. It is a smaller more of a family feel facility as compared to the bigger chain Facilities. All the management, directors, Wellness, housekeeping, food services, recreation and maintenance people are great, very friendly, and compassionate. They really get to know your family member and take great care of them. The facility is clean and well run. They also have lots of various activities to keep all the residents active and healthy. We feel very secure knowing they are taking care of our family members."

"I did a tour. They took us to two different sites within the facility there. One part for assisted living and one part for advanced care. Some of the apartments have a kitchenette. They had a lot more activities and schedules. They have a beauty salon. They have more planned activities, and they have a rehab on site. The staff were very knowledgeable. They were friendly and welcoming. The residents were the same: very friendly and very welcoming. It was a nice experience. The facility was nice and clean. The grounds were clean."

"Maplewood at Darien was the nicest facility that we looked at. They had very good staff, and it's one worth definitely considering. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and had good follow-up. The facilities were brand new, the rooms were very nice, it's upmarket, and a 4-star hotel quality. The dining area was very nice, the food we took home was delicious, they said it was made there, so they did a nice job."
