"Sunrise Senior Living of Fairfield opened its doors about six months before my Mom and her husband became residents and it is a beautiful building set next to a town park where they can watch children and parents play all sorts of sporting events and even just people watch all day long from their living room window or the outdoor porch that faces the park. It has been an interesting transition for my Mom and her husband to go from being homeowners who took care of their home, yard and pool, shopped for themselves and generally lived on their own for the last 35 together, to being restricted because of Covid-19 to a living room, bedroom and bathroom apartment. Since they have each other to lean on, they've always been a happy couple, but now our family knows they are in safe hands, getting the right medication at the right time every day and they have the luxury of ordering and enjoying all the different meals that Sunrise serves on a daily basis. All their needs are met, Sunrise has doctors and dentists and other services come in so there is no need to travel for doctor's visits. Henry just turned 100 years old and Sunrise took the occasion to put on quite a celebration for all the residents to enjoy! Covid-19 has presented a real challenge, but Sunrise has risen to the challenge and succeeded in keeping everyone safe. I would highly recommend Sunrise Senior Living of Fairfield for your mom or dad, the staff responds to their needs and the families' questions immediately and it's always with a smile and friendly rapport. "My mother has been living at Maplewood at Darien for the past 18 months, and as we have all endured hardships since the pandemic, I must say that Maplewood has handled this delicate situation with the utmost care and integrity. The staff is professional, and the facilities are very clean."

"I love the Spring Meadows by Monarch. It was clean and bright. The decor was amazing. They had that soothing blue. And the residents that we passed by were really pleasant. They were all so very happy. The room itself was just amazing. It was a perfect fit for what I was looking for. The sales manager was extremely nice and very informative in terms of the community, especially the activities that are offered. It was nice. The receptionist was amazing, and the nurses that walked by were very well-mannered and very pleasant."

"Middlebrook Farms at Trumbull is actually quite good. We are actually very happy with it. The staff is very attentive, which we greatly appreciate. They have more activities than any of the places that we have seen. People would come in and perform and they have music at least once or twice a month. They also have all sorts of normal games for them. Nothing is unusual in terms of amenities but all are in very good condition. They do have some rehab pool there that she does not use but they do have them. "

"My mother-in-law is in Atria Darien. They've got palliative care coming in to care for her now, so we're just gonna leave her there. It's like a five-star hotel. It is a beautiful senior facility. It is not for the memory impaired. Most people there just need a little assistance. Some of them have their own cars, so it's just senior living, but it's very beautifully kept and it's clean. The people are very, very nice. The one big drawback is it's extremely expensive. She has a 24-hour aide, but a lot of them don't have aides at all. There's no lockdown or anything like that. You're free to come and go. She has a double room with two full bathrooms because she is very, very competent mentally and she wanted to have an office. They have a studio and a room and a half. They have different options. There are two libraries, a wonderful hair salon, and two dining rooms. There's a chef who's been there for over 24 years, and the food is very good. There are several courtyards for the residents to go out and enjoy. The rooms are comparable to others in the area, price-wise. When you add the assistance, then it becomes extremely expensive."

"We are very pleased with our mother's care. Her room is very nice. She enjoys all of the activities such as Bingo, jeopardy, happy hour, movies and outings. The resteraunt style dining and the food is delicious and the staff is terrific!"

"I went to Just Like Home's Dogwood Home. It was so much different from the other facilities because it's an actual home where only 6 people were living there . It's a lot more comfortable, more the personal connection between the residents and the caregivers, and it would be a quieter environment. The staff was very helpful. It was very modern and very clean."

"I went to Maplewood at Danbury. The place is beautiful. They were all very nice, very accommodating, and willing to help you with whatever you needed. They gave us lunch, which was delicious because they have their own chefs. The food is very good. We saw the facilities and the dining room, and it was very nice. It's kept up well, modern, and clean. They were playing bingo in the craft room, and then there's a movie night."

"When I walked into Long Hill Home, I realized where the name Just Like Home came from-it is just like home! I didn’t know what to expect because I have never been in such an intimate memory care home. It is perfect! Everything is new, clean, spacious and beautiful. A lot of homey touches everywhere to the pretty bedspreads and matching bathroom shower curtains. Each room is different. I love that all of the furniture is there. All my mom has to do is bring her clothes and toiletries and she can move right in. Each bedroom had their own TV, I liked that too. Each resident’s laundry is done separately, so there is no mixing up of clothes. And whatever my mom requests, foodwise, will be on the shopping list. Can’t beat that! I loved the whole atmosphere. The caregivers were sweet and attentive and really seemed to love their jobs. They seemed knowledgeable in memory care and treated my mom with love, kindness and respect. It is really a special place. We are happy we found it."

"My husband moved into Maplewood at Stony Hill. I'm not there enough because it's so far away from me. It takes me two hours to get there. My husband has private care there right now, and they're not the ones taking care of that. The facility is excellent. They play music sometimes. They have textile-type things that they can do on the tables. I have to pay for 24-hour care there, separate from their fee. The rooms are very nice and exceptional."

"Hard transition at first . I went from a 8 bedroom house in a rush due to my partner's health. I'm very happy here, everyone has been wondeful. Really great, friendly. I'm rediscovering things I like and getting around more."
