Financial Assistance for Assisted Living in Fairfield County

Its Care Network Link is a free online resource that connects site visitors with area providers and special discounts for health services, respite, fall alert systems and hairdressing. The agency operates adult day centers throughout the county and aids older adults in long-term care planning, helping them make informed decisions regarding their future care needs. It also funds community meal programs and offers financial counseling and assistance.
Veterans Affairs(203) 256-3170Fairfield County is home to several veterans’ affairs offices, including one in the City of Fairfield. At this location, veterans obtain assistance with applying for programs that may help cover their care expenses, including the VA pension and the Aid and Attendance benefit. Local representatives can screen veterans for eligibility for VA healthcare services or placement in local veterans’ homes. They can also provide veterans with information about tax exemptions.

Retired & Senior Volunteer Program(203) 744-4700RSVP is a nationwide program that provides volunteer opportunities to those aged 55 and over, letting them serve their community in a capacity that suits their abilities and interests. Volunteer opportunities vary but typically include tutoring or mentoring children in schools or after-school programs, sharing knowledge at local museums and ushering at performing arts centers.
