My mother has moved into Whisper Woods of Smithtown. The grounds, the upkeep, and the layout are all very well-kept. They have it decorated for all occasions, whether it's Christmas, Valentine's Day, or Easter. It's very cheerful and very positive. The staff is exceptional, and that's the reason I chose it. The staff is truly caring and they have gone above and beyond. If there is anything that I want them to work with or if there's something that I feel needs improvement, they have come forward and done 110% every time. My mom is not one to participate in a lot of activities, but they have a daily bingo. They have an art class. They have a book club and a walking club. The volunteers come with dogs every once in a while. They have music. They have exercise classes every day. They have a lot. My mom likes the breakfast and the lunch. The dinners are not as good in her opinion.

Whisper Woods of Smithtown was very clean, very bright, and new. The staff was very nice and seemed very attentive. A lot is going on. They were very nice. Everything was new and clean. They had nice rooms and a lot to do because it's all been built in. They had a gym, a beauty parlor, and all the facilities that you would want.

I visited Whisper Woods of Smithtown, and it was a good tour. The facility is the newest that we saw. It is well laid out also with a secure courtyard area for the residents to be outside in good weather. They had good programing, comprehensive programing. We did not have an opportunity to interact with any staff aside from the person who gave us the tour. The pricing was in the middle, closer to the more expensive. They look very nice; they would be suitable for my wife. They are mostly shared. There are very few private rooms in this particular facility, but in a shared room set up, they do have a more private setting than other shared rooms. Two rooms look pretty much private, except they share a bathroom. That's how the vast majority of their setup works. So, for sleeping, you have privacy, but you share a bathroom that's connecting the two rooms. I think the facility was the thing that we liked the most. We didn't have a chance to try the food. We also did not get a chance to interact with any other staff, but we did see some programming underway.

The tour we had with Whisper Woods of Smithtown was excellent. It's a beautiful facility. It's very clean, very new, and the people were very, very attentive. We saw the rooms in the memory care and the common areas, and I would have signed myself in, because it just looked like a five-star hotel. The furnishings were beautiful, the rooms were beautiful, and the bathrooms were nice. When we were there, it was past dinner time, so the residents were relaxing in the common area. There was a woman playing the piano and other people were singing, but they also had frequent parties, bingo, and everything you could want. The facility was gorgeous. It's only three years old. We had a great sit-down with the staff until we started talking about finances. They said they don't accept Medicaid and that was the end of the tour.

I went to Whisper Woods of Smithtown. I thought they were very helpful. It seems like the staff is very good, the amenities are very good. I just had a good feeling about it. It's reasonably priced. They have a doctor on staff, they also have nurses. So from a medical standpoint, I think they're very good. My parents are planning to move in on the first of July. The activities were good. I think it was comparable to other places. They have the standard stuff bingo, puzzles, and they have movies and cards. I hadn't eaten there, but the menus are pretty good. They also have, in between the dining areas breakfast, lunch, dinner, but then if you want something in between, that's fine. You always have, like, the standard stuff, the burger stuff, but then they always do a special every day, you know, for lunch and dinner. The staff was very helpful. We communicate like every few days right now, just kind of helping kind of transition my parents over there.

We went with Whisper Woods of Smithtown for my mother-in-law. It has everything that we are looking for, but we haven't moved in yet. The rooms were very clean, very modern, very well appointed, and it was just what we needed to take care of her. We were very impressed with the staff, they were knowledgeable, accommodating, and they explained everything. They made the transition very easy. I didn't get to the dining room because of Covid, but I could see it from the outside because they were eating, and it looked very nice. The common rooms were very nice. Every time I went activities were going on with the seniors that were there. I have no issue with any of those rooms. They have a common room available that you can book for any type of family celebration or gathering. It was fully appointed with a kitchen and amenities that you need to have a party for your loved one.

We have chosen Whisper Woods of Smithtown for my dad. He's moving in this Saturday. I like it because it's close to my house, it's new, and it's beautiful. We didn't see the room because of Covid. We will move my father in, so we will be able to see the room then. We are still going to be moving his clothes and things like that into his room. The staff was very nice and friendly, I like them very much. They're very caring towards the residents. It was beautiful, they painted it, and there's no carpeting. It's immaculate. I don't really know the staff, but the people I've met were very nice and very nice toward my father. I like the cleanliness of it and just the whole atmosphere. It makes you feel like you're in a 5-star hotel. It's beautiful when you walk in and it's very spacious. The outside is beautiful and beautifully landscaped. It was nicely done.

I've only been in the apartment once. I think my parents are doing well, overall, at Whisper Woods of Smithtown. I haven't been able to enter the facility. When I brought things into their apartment that was it. I haven't been able to have a meal there or be involved in anything. There are no issues with the staff and the director has been great. It's very nice and it's new. We're not allowed in there, so it's pretty difficult when you're doing Facetiming with directors walking around the building, but that's the situation now. It's very nice and it's a very new facility. Everything is clean and neat and everybody is friendly. There's a calendar of events of which I am not really familiar. My parents get that schedule every day. I know they go to lectures and view documentaries, which is what they enjoy. It's very, very expensive though. I'm probably not a good barometer for this because I've been there so little. And they've been quarantined for almost half of what they've been there so far. It's very, very expensive. The director brought me into somebody's apartment, someone who was living there. That was nice. She actually had it set up that we could go into somebody's apartment and the woman who was living there showed me an actual living experience.

Whisper Woods of Smithtown would have been my top choice. Everything about it was exactly as was described to me originally from Caring.com. The facility was excellent from beginning to end. The care we received as soon as we arrived was great. The clients looked very content and happy to be there. My father-in-law needed the extra care and my mother-in-law is independent. Although it was an assisted living facility, it did not feel that way. It felt very open and independent, which gave me a little more confidence in my mother-in-law not feeling like she was in a facility that was too clinical. It felt more like community living, and it would have been more inviting to my mother-in-law. It's more of a vibrant and active facility.

My mother was in Whisper Woods of Smithtown and it was amazing. It couldn't have been better. Before I chose them I also saw six other communities. They were OK, but I can't really say that any of them actually spoke to me. When I walked through Whisper Woods' doors, I fell in love with the place. It's amazing and I would recommend it to anyone. It's brand new, clean, and the staff is out of this world when it comes to the care she received. She was in assisted living/independent living. They also have a memory care unit, although she didn't qualify for that. They had different packages that you pick according to the needs of the patient. So my mom needed nursing care to give her meds and she needed help with walking around because she's high risk for falling, so they had someone round-the-clock to help them. So even though she was independent living, there was always someone there for her. I did not find one single person that I did not like, and I wish Mom could have stayed there longer. I ate a lot and the food was delicious. The place is spotless, and it's a brand-new community, so everything is still very new and beautiful. They have everything you could think of; my mom participated in most of the activities. It was expensive, but compared to other places and what we got for our money, it was to be expected. They've provided so much compared to other communities. What I really liked about it was that they provide care through end-of-life, so my mom wouldn't have to leave there, even if she needed hospice. They would just bring hospice to her.

Whisper Woods of Smithtown is beautiful. Everything is new. The staff is very friendly and very caring. Everything is really good there. They have a one-bedroom with a living room, one bathroom, and a little kitchenette. There's no stove or oven. There's a small refrigerator, a microwave, a sink, and lots of cabinets. They have arts and crafts, exercises, entertainment coming in, musicians and choir coming in, a gardening club, a shuttle to take you to different places, doctors coming in regularly, nursing on-staff, and physical therapy. They're very accommodating. My mom was in rehab across the street, and they sent her flowers there. They're very thoughtful and caring. The dining room was open 7:00 in the morning until 7:00 at night, so there's not assigned times for meals. You can go in as many times as you want. They have coffee and tea and some snacks in the lobby, and I suggest that they also put that in the common area on each floor. Any way you go is expensive, but compared to other places, this is so much better.

Whisper Woods of Smithtown was good. The staff answered lots of my questions. It was certainly a nice and warm place. I thought everything was exceptional. The room was nice. They have card games and bingo. I didn't see a whole lot of activities. The person who gave me the tour was good at what he did.

I like the décor at Whisper Woods of Smithtown and it's a really nice place. It's new and it sits on grass, so the grounds larger than the facility, so the residents can walk around outside. It's a little bit nicer, and it's spread out, which I like. The décor was really beautiful inside. It had a really nice family room area which was beautiful, and it had a nice electrical fireplace. The people were all really nice and they have activities. The food looked and smelled pretty good. They don't have an assigned time for eating. You can order off a menu which is much larger than the other ones I saw. It seemed a little bit more free-flowing. They have a nice entrance with a baby grand right there. I also liked the fact that they have some grounds.

This is a beautiful community. I have visited 3 times and have enjoyed seeing the development and care that has gone into the amenities, upper scale feel and most importantly the training and leadership of the team. I look forward to visiting again when the doors open.
