"My Dad was a resident of LISVH for almost a year and just passed away there this month. I cannot say enough good things about this facility and the staff. The admissions staff, charge nurses, nurse managers, nursing assistants, social workers, therapists, and unit physicians took such good care of my Dad and for that my family and I will always be grateful. He would often tell me not to worry about him and I was always able to say that I wasn't worried because I knew that he was safe and well-cared for. There is a sense of community about this place that you feel immediately upon entering. The facility itself is well maintained and very clean. I would not hesitate to recommend LISVH to anyone who is looking for a long-term care facility for a veteran of our armed forces."

"My mom has been staying at St. James Rehab (St James Healthcare Center) for 30 to 40 days now. The people are very good and helpful. I really don't have any complaints. It's 24-hour care, and they have a couple of people going around giving medicine at the scheduled times for the patients. They also have a house doctor, so there's always somebody covering the patients. My mom is in a shared room with four in the room. Sometimes they have two in a room. They have quite a bit of activities, like music, bingo, and tai chi, so there's something happening every day. The pricing is expensive."

"I visited the nursing home on a daily basis to visit my family member. Although the facility itself is not "eye pleasant" on the outside or inside, it really has a great staff to make up for this fault. When I first went to the nursing home I was not pleased with how everything looked, however the staff assured me that they hired some of the best professionals in the area and were able to take the best of care for my loved one. I was skeptical but decided to give it a try. The staff was the most friendly and caring people that I have ever met. They began to know me by name and always greeted me upon my arrival. I could tell that they truly cared for what they were doing and treated my loved one with the greatest of care. "

"My dad is in Quantum Rehabilitation and Nursing. They seem very friendly and caring. When I push my dad around the nursing home, everybody knows his name and says hi. They read stories to the patients. They have a movie night, bingo, a big rehab facility downstairs, and an in-house bakery. The patients and their families could go down and get coffee or sugar-free for people with diabetes, and it's all free. I saw the food, and it was very good. They give the meals and choice of a menu. They did a patio party outside for the staff. The facility was clean."

"I stayed here for a short time after a hospital stay. Although the food left a lot to be desired the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and attractive and I can't say enough about the rehab staff. The physical therapy helped me immensely and the staff was so caring and warm. I would highly recommend this place "

"I was in The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for rehabilitation after a hip replacement. It was more like a nursing home, there wasn't a bathroom, it was a shower room, more like a gymnasium shower room, with four or five stalls. The building was very good, they were doing construction when I was there. They have very good activities, they have very good rehabilitation, a big room with a physical therapist, and they teach us to walk. I wish I could stay there longer. I was on a lot of medication there for pain. The physical therapist was very good."

"I was very happy and satisfied with the Island Nursing & Rehab Center. The service was very good. The rehab itself, the PT, and the OTP was excellent. Everybody treated me with respect and courtesy, and I couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant stay. It was a very nice facility. My room was very nice, equipped very well, airy, and pleasant. I was in a double occupancy, and I had a roommate; we got along very well. The PT had extremely good exercise for what a person needs. They have different activities from bingo to concerts; you name it, they have it. "

"My mother is in this facility as a patient in the dementia or Alzheimer's unit. The unit itself is very secure, you have to have a password that you punch into the keypad at the entrance to the unit. This prevents the patients from entering or exiting on their own. The reason for this is that patients in this kind of unit tend to wander. They love to roam in and out of eachothers rooms almost all day. The hallways in this unit have couches, chairs and pianos and it resembles a hotel rather than a nursing home. Almost all the patients are mobile and 85% of them are women. When you visit, you may have other patients dropping by your area to listen or try to talk to you or hold your hand. If you bring a child, watch out, the women go crazy, trying to grab the children and pick them up. You have to be on your toes. The best thing about St. Catherine's are the visiting hours, you can show up any time all day long. They do try to keep you from coming after nine p.m. because they have to get the patients to bed. I am totally at ease when I visit and I would recommend this facility to others and their loved ones. "

"I was a bit hesitant and apprehensive in the beginning because of the situation that had occurred years ago. But I took a chance and decided to get my Rehab at Medford. TO my surprise, this facility was exceptional! The nursing staff were pleasant and receptive to my needs. The Rehab staff were phenomenal and so motivating. The food was good like any other place that you would go to, but the service and communication was amazing! They discharged me in 12 days after my surgery and I feel brand new! My suggestion is to really go for a tour and meet with the team to really see the new and improved system they have going on there! I definitely recommend Medford! -Susan W"

"Number one on my list is the cleanliness and brightness of this facility. My Mom moved there December 2010, and shares a room with a lovely woman . The wait time after Mom was put on the list, was about 5 months. We were welcome at any time to visit the Hamlet, and speak with the other residents, as we waited. Mom was royally welcomed by some of the ladies she met before she even moved in. The floors are washed and swept frequently, the rooms and baths are cleaned daily. Beds are made, laundry is done, and delicious meals are served 3 times a day. Snacks and beverages are always available. There is a hair salon, and Resident Doctors and Nurses take care of medical issues. Medication is given out individually by the nurses. There are many activities during the day, bus trips, a movie room, and volunteers come in once a week to do manicures for the gals. A certified dog viists every week for the folks to pet and gush over. He is sweet. Musicians, Clergy, are there to speak to the residents and entertain them. The staff is superb, very caring, well trained and polite to everyone. Mom is there with Medicaid, thank goodness. However, many other folks have larger rooms and choose to pay their way. Fees start at 3 to 5 thousand a month. In house Banking is provided, for all. Social workers, Psychologists, Podiatrist, and Physical Therapy is available to all. The admimistration and front desk personnel are always polite and ready to help or answer any questions family may have. I give this facility a High Five. Excellent... "

"My dad lived the last 3 years of his life at Suffolk Center. During his time there his health was always very stable. No colds, no flu never went to the hospital for anything. Ge was unable to feed himself, his weight was always stable. He was unable to walk and he never had a bed sore.. the nurses and staff were always professional and kind. The facility is not real fancy but I did see a lot of positive changes during the time my dad was there .. the most impost thing to me was my dads well being.. I am grateful to the staff for there kindness. "
