My friend is in Luxor Nursing and Rehabilitation at Sayville. Gigi who works at the front desk is a really nice young lady and really responsible. She always cheers me up when I go see my really sick friend. I always see Gigi mingling with the customers, with the people, and with the residents. She's a really good person. There's a bunch of people there that are good. When I walk in there, I get good vibes. It's good, and it's clean. Everybody's friendly. They know me. There are no problems with anybody. The nurses are always nice. They're attending to my friend. The whole building is nice. Target is right next door. Everybody's excellent there. The nurses are always on top of everything. I watch them in the big room with the other patients. I had never seen them with a bad attitude or yelling at somebody. They're always nice with the elderly and with the people that are not old. It's a good place. I appreciate it. There's always enough food for one person and it looks good and fresh. I've never heard anybody complain about the food or anything. The lobby is clean, and the parking lot is clean. The bathrooms are clean. The parking lot has no garbage. The maintenance guy is always running around cleaning. Everybody's all right. There's not one person that I don't like or anything.

The care is terrible here. Don’t bring your loved one here unless you want them to get incredibly worse and have a quicker death! My grandma had a fall that led her to this facility to see physical therapy and have pain management. She was only there for 2 weeks and was given a UTI from lack of care which led to her confusion (she was completely with it prior to this all) the nurses thought she had dementia and the confusion was normal for her even though we insisted it wasn’t. She had multiple falls in the facility they tried to hide from us at first, she sat in a chair for almost 2 weeks straight- was only in bed or chair and barely had physical therapy (the whole reason she’s there) her legs got so swollen from not standing up and now she has wounds on her legs from the swelling. OH! And she got pneumonia from just sitting or laying the whole time and when she was in respiratory distress we had to physically go and ask someone to help because no one answers call bells and they said she had anxiety- moments later needed all this rushed treatment and almost sent her to the hospital because it was anxiety. My grandma had the privilege of having family visit her often while in the facility and often times things were only done because we had to ask after her not getting her scheduled medication, her treatments etc. I just worry for all the residents whose family is not there for them with medical backgrounds that know what’s going on. We were dismissed often with our concerns and do not wish this negative experience on anyone. I understand being short staff, I work in the medical field myself, but no one deserves to be neglected under any circumstances.

Just picked up my mom today. She fell out of bed numerous times. The facility did nothing to PREVENT falls. UTI infection as she was often left to sit or lie in her own filth. Do not bring your parent here under any circumstance unless you want them to die sooner than they should.

Social Worker Lisa does not call anyone back! Short staffed so patients are sitting in dirty diapers constantly and getting UTI infections.

My parent was put on what nursing home staff refers to as their “do not fly list.” This means that as long as they live, they can never go back there for care no matter how much it’s needed. I would love to know why this is as I was never led to believe there was a problem at all.

Very impressed with the care for my Dad at Luxor. The staff are friendly, courteous and professional. The staff works very well together which shows me that management cares for their employees. Facility is clean and staff accommodates special requests. Highly recommend.

My mom stayed at Petite Fleur Nursing Home and I was happy with the care she got. The people and staff were all very good. The place was excellent.
