"Stonebrook Village at Windsor Locks is good. My mother has moved into this community. It is modern, nice, and new. It is only three years old. The cleanliness is very good. They have the usual activities like arts and crafts. They have entertainment, and they have guests that come in with animals. However, they need to improve on their dining room chairs because they slide too easily. It is hard for older people to get out of them. Everyone is really friendly; the people are very nice."

There are a couple of things I really liked about it. One was that there was a washer and dryer in the apartment. They had crafts and stuff. They had numerous activities going on, and they had garages. I was able to move all of my stuff over to the garage. It's brand new and very clean."

"I did a tour of Colebrook Village at Hebron. It's in the running, but I'm still waiting. We have to see what my father's needs are going to be, and I'm working with the VA to see if they can come through with some assistance. The tour was very positive, the manager was wonderful, the Marketing Manager. I toured one of the apartments, saw the library, and the dining facilities. I saw the courtyard where somebody planted tomatoes. Also walked past the hairdresser, recreation rooms, and physical exercise room. We worked with one person; she was great. She's marketing, so I would expect that person to be trying to sell you the place. The one apartment I saw looked nice, and the other things. They also had a movie theater."

"Quail Run Estates was a really nice, refreshing place. The dining room reminded me of a hotel with outstanding staff there. It is a first-class facility. We saw the one-bedroom and the two-bedroom units. The two-bedroom has two bathrooms while the one-bedroom had a micro-kitchen area with a little microwave. The rooms were really nice. They have movies, exercises, and other stuff to do. The food I had was excellent. "

They had fitness programs and they even had a belly- dancing program. They had transportation that would take them anywhere they wanted to go. "

"It is a more modern facility. It has some nice places to be inside like nice balconies, verandas, a nice park in the middle of it, and wide hallways. I went on the tour twice. One was a more in-depth tour, and one was less in-depth. The food was okay. The sizes of the rooms were not as large as I would like. They were average sizes. For what I was looking for, their sizes were too small. For the facility's atmosphere, I felt like I was walking into an upscale hotel."

"Court of Saint James was a clean and very friendly place. It's very well maintained and well kept. They gave you the paperwork to fill out and told you what number you would be. When somebody moves out, the number goes down. Then you get closer to getting an apartment there. The staff has a good personality. They are very friendly, outgoing, and willing to accommodate you in any way they can. The dining room looks nice, updated, and clean. They have an inside parking lot."
