"The Wellington at Springfield was an amazing place. I didn't meet as many staff because I came at a different time of day and also right before the holiday. However, the staff and people I met were very, very friendly and very nice. I met an occupational therapist who was there, so PT and OT are right there on the premises. They're in a separate building. The apartments were really nice. Some of them were completely redone and absolutely gorgeous. There are a couple of them that are still in the process of being redone, but even the ones that haven't been redone yet are still nice. They had art projects and a media room, which is also a common gathering place for everyone. The staff mentioned that they offer yoga classes and various other activities. They also do a full salon there. When I went there, they had said that you had to sign in and out, and that was a big turn-off, actually. When I had a follow-up call from the executive director, she said that you don't have to, but you can if you want to. They come in and check on you type things, so I wasn't really thrilled about it. Like, if you don't come out of your room for a certain amount of time or whatever, they will come in and see if you're okay. I like that in one way, but in another way, no, because there are some things I like to do. That was the only drawback. I love their meal plan because it comes with a continental breakfast every day. Each apartment has a full kitchen, and then you buy 31 meals a month, and that, to me, is fabulous, because I'm not ready to give up cooking yet. If you have company come over, you and your friend can go and get meals, or if my kids come and visit, they can get meals. So, it's 31 meals, no matter if you use it or if you use it with a friend."
