Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing

We toured Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing. The things I liked best about them were the apartments themselves. They were very spacious and very well-designed with lots of storage. The common areas were very clean and very well decorated. They put lots of thought into different activities that the residents could do. The thing I liked least was probably the cost and the structure of the way they charge. They have a very large buy-in cost up front and then also a fairly high monthly cost. So that just really put them out of our price range.

Looks like a resort— if that’s all you are looking for. They are always short staffed& the nursing staff is unskilled, no assessment skills, no organization.. forget trying to keep your clothes . The food is a joke- might be because they have no full time dietician or infection control nurse.I could write a book about my mothers lack of care during her stay. The worst was the uncaring cold administration. Just because a facility is attractive doesn’t mean it is the best place for your loved one.

We're very pleased with Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing. I liked the whole community, the surroundings, and the care of the grounds and the facilities. Just very professional, very welcoming, updated. My mother is going into an independent apartment. It's being renovated, but from what I saw they looked wonderful, updated, clean, and bright. The dining area was welcoming, just lovely, and inviting. They have exercise, entertainment, a walking trail, and a recreation area. And I know they have yoga classes and fitness classes, special event parties, and holiday sort of celebrations. There was a lovely library that was well stocked and a beautiful cafe that's outside the dining area, so that visitors coming in could engage with the cafe.

I've gone to Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing to visit the place and I thought it was a pretty good area, especially the surroundings. It was a nice community and the people were very friendly. They would give you 30 meals a month, take you to your doctor's appointments or pick up your medications. They had a very, very nice two-bedroom apartment where each person had their own bathroom. The grounds were beautiful.
