What ongoing training does the staff receive in dementia care?
We provide our staff with monthly trainings on dementia and provide trainings on the Moments in Time Program.

We have a wide variety of residents here at The Reserve at East Longmeadow. We offer amenities and services that appeal to those who are anywhere from independent and not wanting the stresses of the home all the way to those who are needing full care throughout the day and night.
What programs or activities does The Reserve at East Longmeadow offer to enrich residents' well-being?
We offer our residents with daily activities that range from exercise programs, card games, movies, happy hours, live entertainment, weekly outings and so much more!
What places are near The Reserve at East Longmeadow or within walking distance for assisted living residents to enjoy?
We are located within a quick drive to the new MGM Springfield, Museums including Dr. Seuss, Springfield Armory and the Basketball Hall of Fame. We are also located near Forest Park, Symphony Hall, and the Mass Mutual Center.
What transportation services does The Reserve at East Longmeadow offer to assisted living residents?
We offer our residents with daily transportation for doctors appointments and local errands.
What makes the chef or dining program at The Reserve at East Longmeadow exceptional? What kind of menu can assisted living residents expect?
Our Chef is extremely well known in the East Longmeadow area for being head of previous restaurant Spoletos. He comes with a fine dining background and has brought his expertise into our dining experience here at the community. You can expect to have a home cooked meal, including soups made from scratch and daily specials that never disappoint!
What safety features or security measures does The Reserve at East Longmeadow offer to assisted living residents?
We have care staff in the building 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We have a sign in/ sign out book at the concierge desk for our visitors and residents. Our front doors get locked at 8pm once the concierge leaves for the night. There is a buzzer for those who come and go past those hours that our care managers can let into the building.
How does The Reserve at East Longmeadow keep residents' families informed about their loved ones?
We keep an open line of community for our families here at the community. We keep all of our residents care tracked daily that all of our nurses have access to. If there are ever any concerns our team will reach out to families immediately, or if families have concerns they can always call In and check on their loved ones and what care they have received that day.
What is the care staff-to-resident ratio at The Reserve at East Longmeadow during daytime and nighttime hours?
We have an average of 1 staff to 10 residents.
If The Reserve at East Longmeadow accepts dogs or cats, what indoor/outdoor areas can they enjoy?
We are pet friendly with Executive Directors approval for dogs and cats.
What ongoing senior care training does the staff receive?
All staff at The Reserve has to complete monthly trainings on topics like dementia, safety, and HIPPA.
How many staffers are on duty in the daytime and overnight?
We have an average of 1 staff to 7 residents in the building.
What safety features or security measures does The Reserve at East Longmeadow provide to protect residents who wander?
We offer our Memory Care Community called The Gardens for those residents with Dementia or Alzheimer's. This is a secured wing of the building and offers much more over site and care for those who may wander.
What programs or activities does The Reserve at East Longmeadow offer to keep residents engaged? How does the staff engage residents' long-term memories?
We offer our residents with daily activities that are designed to help keep residents with dementia engaged. Some of these include art and music therapy, and life experience kits that are used based off of interests.
Who assesses residents' health and cognitive functioning? How often is that assessment repeated?
We offer assessments prior to move in to help determine which services the resident may need. This is reviewed after 30 days with the family to see if we need to add or take away any services. We then review this care plan every 6 months or sooner if there is a change in status.
What techniques does The Reserve at East Longmeadow use to support memory care residents during mealtimes?
We offer our residents plated choices during meal times. We offer options like soup or salad, two entry choices and of course dessert.
How does The Reserve at East Longmeadow keep residents' families informed about their loved ones' health?
We keep an open line of communication with our families offering anywhere from a phone call to a scheduled family meeting.

We are situated in a neighborhood area, our property once held a local farm stand and apple orchard across the street.

We have many contacts with local hospitals, rehabs and long term care facilities in our area for any additional care that may be needed.
