"Our tour of Covenant Living of Cromwell was great. It was awesome. It was like a hotel when you walked in there. It was absolutely beautiful. The staff was amazing. They had a cafeteria, a restaurant, and then they had a coffee shop. So there were three places you could go for a meal. They had a snack room, too. They allow you to have three meals a day, but it was like a credit card setup where they give you so much money every month and allotment for food. I think it was $300 for each person a month. The menus were awesome. The apartments were very nice. They even had a deck where you could go outside (each one had a patio deck). It's very quiet and you could bring pets if you wanted to. They had a movie theater, a music room, and an activities room where you could crochet or needlepoint or have any hobbies, you could do it there. They kept their residents engaged with a bunch of activities going on. We would have picked it, but we just couldn't afford it. It was a little on the high side."

"I've only been living here in Connect55+ East Windsor for a month now. I signed up with them at least three years ago, before they even built it. There are a couple of things I really liked about it. One was that there was a washer and dryer in the apartment. They had crafts and stuff. They had numerous activities going on, and they had garages. I was able to move all of my stuff over to the garage. It's brand new and very clean."

"Bethel Health Care is one of the good ones. While no one wants to be in a facility of any kind, sometimes there is not choice. It is usually very clean. The staff is professional and courteous. Rehabilitation services are excellent, providing two sessions on most days. We did have one incident where a room was not up to standard because of the presence of insects. It was investigated and remedied immediately. Reading room, community room, and outdoor space provided for anyone interested. Food is only okay, but what can you expect. You can order outside of the traditional menu. "

"My dad is a resident of Keystone Place since December. They have been very good, very helpful, and have gone out of their way to make sure everything is OK with my dad's place. They have been very good. On top of that, it is a brand-new place, which is a big plus too. It is literally six months old. My dad has a studio. It has a small kitchen that has a fridge and freezer, a microwave, a sink, and all the basic necessities. The place has a small theater and a fitness center, which is cool. They have a bar. Every Friday, they have a happy hour, which my dad has been able to partake. It has all the amenities that you would want. They have activity rooms with various games and puzzles. There is always something for residents to do. The food is always the rave. Everyone is very nice, very respectful and very patient with our requests. The place is huge. It is great. It is a lot bigger than where my dad was before. They have a laundry room where they have four washers and four dryers, so residents can do their laundry."

"My brother moved to The Workman, and it's what we were looking for. It's congregate living where they have three meals a day supplied for them and cleaning services for the apartment. The people I dealt with were great. The facility is well-maintained. My brother likes the food, and the value is very good."

"It seemed empty. I visited once with my dad and then we visited on the weekends and it was just as quiet both times. That's because it's a very active community. They just went there, slept there, and there weren't a lot of people left. We went there at lunch and there were probably eight people together that were there in the building. We've been to lunch at every other place and it was a full dining room. I think if my dad was still driving, it would have been a contender. It's a very beautiful facility. They had all the amenities that we were looking for. They had a theater, a little woodworking area for arts and crafts stuff, outdoor gardening, and a lot of activities. The lady that toured us was very nice and very good. The quality of the food was also very good."

"Nottingham Towers is a secure building. Nobody can get in if they don't have the right key. Even the front door is guarded with ladies who work in the office, which are the most extremely over the top kind of personality women. They're wonderful and helpful. They have services for the older people, community luncheons, and there's always something going on. What I really like about it is the laundry and the mail rooms are on the same floor, which means no one's gonna be messing with your mail. I also like that on each floor between the apartments, there are sitting areas with couches and love seats. I pay very little to live here and I praise the Lord for it. I'm very comfortable and I feel very safe. It's working out well for me and my son. I've been here since February. Linda and Shauna run the office and treat everybody special. "

"My mom is at Southmayde Homes. They have choices of rooms, i.e., a smaller room, a mid-sized room or a large room. All of them are perfectly able to live in because they're not in the room all day. They are very caring and very interested in each individual. The food is excellent. They serve breakfast and lunch, which is their biggest meal for the day and then at night, they do a lighter fare of food. The dining area is lovely. They set it up like a formal dining room. "

"It was brand new. The interior was very contemporary, and it was beautiful, but for a seventy-five-year-old -- my mom -- it was too institutional, and she was very uncomfortable with how gray it was. It looked cold and institutional to her. It was all in one building so they gave us information on all of the levels of care there. I thought the staff was wonderful; I liked them a lot. The rooms were beautiful, too. I really thought the facility was beautiful, but that's not what she thought. She thought the room was beautiful, but she didn't like the coloring. I think we're dealing with differences in age group here, and I'm not the one who's going to live there. I thought it was in a beautiful area. They had a movie theater, although it wasn't as big as the one I saw in another facility. They had a billiards room, an arts-and-crafts room, and I thought it was beautiful."

"I thought that this assisted living facility was overall very good. It was clean and well kept. The lawn is nice there and there are a lot of open areas for people to walk around and enjoy the outdoors. The staff is very kind and friendly and when I leave I always feel like my loved ones are in good hands. The actual building itself was also of very good quality. It has a recent construction and all of its technical elements seemed very high tech and up to date. It is located in a safe neighborhood in a very well respected town in Connecticut. Anyone staying at this assisted living facility is sure to have a good time. They will be well fed and have a steady stream of attention. Without the help of the McLean center many people lives and recoveries would not be the same. The center gives people what they need to live happily, freely, and comfortably. "

"I liked Belden Forest Court very much. I liked the price especially. It's affordable and I liked everything about it. It had a very relaxed and laid back atmosphere. They don't provide meals. I have to supply my own, but they take me shopping to get food. The staff was very nice and very patient and took time to answer all our questions. They have a library and rooms for activities. It's very independent, you buy your own apartment, and what you do with it is totally up to you. The apartments were nice and spacious. There were studio apartments, which I was interested in. There's a separate space for the bed and a separate space for the living room. They have somebody come in and clean for me."

"Court of Saint James was a clean and very friendly place. It's very well maintained and well kept. They gave you the paperwork to fill out and told you what number you would be. When somebody moves out, the number goes down. Then you get closer to getting an apartment there. The staff has a good personality. They are very friendly, outgoing, and willing to accommodate you in any way they can. The dining room looks nice, updated, and clean. They have an inside parking lot."
