Memory Care Communities in Yardley, PA

"My mom moved to Brookdale Northampton, and their staff has been there a long time. I think the woman at the desk has been there for 19 years. I think the maintenance guy has been there for like 20 years. It seems like people stay there because the workers seem to like it. It's clean. They're very friendly. It's very nice as far as their dining room. The rooms and the building are nice. You don't feel like you're walking into a nursing home. You feel like you're walking into a home, and everyone's very nice and the residents seem very nice as well. The staff is very nice, but sometimes they're not around and they have a lot to handle. My mom loves the food. She's only been there two weeks, so we haven't experienced everything yet, but they have a lot of things for them to do. I've started to go to a lot of different places and some are more expensive and maybe a little nicer, but too big. And then some are just the same price and not as nice, so I think we did well with this one."

"I liked that The Terraces at Lawrence is close to me because I'm the one who would be visiting my sister there. We spoke to some people and they were very friendly, and helpful, and went out of their way to try to accommodate my interest and question. Linda gave me the tour and she was great. The rooms were fine and the dining area was attractive. I especially liked the chapel that was there. I didn't see many people, but it seemed pleasantly friendly. They have games and outings to go places and movies."

"Brookdale Hamilton is strictly memory care. It's an excellent facility. The only reason my brother did not go there is that an opening came up over at another place that's closer to me, but I would rate them five-star for everything. A lady gave me a tour of the whole complex. It's updated and it's a beautiful place. They have an outdoor facility where they've got drums and things where people could play instruments. It was nice. The place was spotless."

"The rooms at CareOne Assisted Living at Hamilton were nice and spacious. It would have worked. They took the time to answer all my questions. I visited there probably three times. The common areas looked all right. For my mother to get in, they would have had to put her in the advanced care and then move her over, so it wasn't as accommodating."

"I visited Juniper Village at Hamilton. The cost would have been much higher there, but it was clean and modern-looking. I liked the way it looked. The staff took their time to answer any questions I had. They seemed thorough in giving me information. We didn't particularly care for the rooms as much. They seemed too small. The only way to save money would be to share a room with another resident. We didn't like the way the rooms were set up."

"I'm moving into Crescent Fields at Huntingdon Valley. I love it, and it's the most reasonable one out of all of them. You only pay $3,000 to put a down payment, and then you pay $6,000 a month for a two-bedroom. They only had two-bedrooms left, and I got one. It's a nice size, and it's beautiful. Everything is really nice, so I'm very happy. Everything is included. They have three meals a day, they have entertainment, they have a movie theater, they have a private dining room, and they do trips. I had lunch there. I can't say it was the best, but it's OK. Nevertheless, they were very courteous and very caring to all their people. I don't really know any of the staff members other than the salespeople and the girls at the front desk, but the kitchen people were very, very sweet. They're very pleasant, very cheerful, very nice, and willing to help you. Everything was immaculate, too."

"This facility is the cleanest that I have ever visited. The staff is friendly and are very attentive to the residents. Lee is the greatest. He is always willing to help the families of the residents with any questions or concerns. I have called him so many times and he has always returned the calls even after hours. I have seen him around the residents and he is a very caring individual. Ardent - Warminster should be very proud to have him at their facility. Families can be confident that their loved ones are being care for and respected."

"We chose Brookdale Westampton because the price is right, and we know that they specialize in memory care there. I like the shape of the room. The room was just perfect for the way we needed it. They were very nice and very helpful in answering questions. The food was good, and they had some outside space."

"We would have liked my friend to go to Fox Trail Memory Care, but unfortunately the psychiatrist that had cared for him didn't change his diagnosis, so Fox Trail Memory Care considered him a danger to himself and to others and would not accept him. Nevertheless, the place was a big ranch house that has a big open area for living room, dining room, and kitchen area. It was very clean too. The bedrooms were all individual bedrooms. They did have to share a bathroom, but only two rooms would share it, so it was very nice. The grounds were well-kept and seemed to have a lot of security so they can't get out. The people were very pleasant and very nice. Residents were treated very well. The food smelled good. Everything was very fresh."

"My mother moved to The Solana Doylestown and we're pretty happy with it. It's not hospital-like, it's more apartment living but with memory care. Her room has two separate areas, the living room, and the bedroom, then there's a little kitchen area and a separate bathroom. It's small but it's got different areas like an apartment. I feel like they can still up their game with their food selection for memory care. They've got activities like exercise classes, arts and crafts, and a happy hour."

"My son and I went on a tour of Maplewood at Princeton over in Plainsboro. They have a 1-bedroom apartment available in assisted living, and I'm kind of pursuing that. It seemed like there was enough staff, and they looked like they were helpful. They were helping the residents that we saw there. One thing I liked about the dining area was that they had something that other assisted living facilities didn't have. In addition to the tables, they had an open kitchen and a counter that faced it. You can come in here any time and get anything that you want to eat. You don't necessarily have to sit with people, because sometimes you don't feel like doing that or having a conversation. You can just go and sit at the counter and get everything you want to eat at any time. I thought that was a good idea and something that I hadn't seen before. The rooms were a little bit bigger than the other places. It's a regular 1-bedroom apartment, not a studio, so it's still relatively small. I know they're not going to be big or anything, but it's still bigger than the rooms of other places that I'd seen. The facility looked clean and organized. Everything was in place, and nothing looked sloppy or out of place. Everything looked very neat and well-kept."

"I liked Spring Hills Princeton. The woman I met there was nice. She was wonderful. It seemed like a nice place. I liked the price. It's cheaper than others. The rooms were nice, too. I think they were a good size. They generally have games and outings just like the others. I thought the atmosphere was very pleasant."

"I toured Viva Senior Living at Dresher. It was good. Everything was excellent. The tour guide was nice. The cafeteria was nice and big. The rooms were nice-sized, big, and looked new. They had a nice bath size for them. I liked the cleanliness, activities, interaction, and personal care with the resident. They have plenty of parking, and the upkeep was excellent."

"I am a resident of The Philadelphia Protestant Home. They have everything you need. The food is good. It's near where I live. The nurses are well-trained. It's just top-notch. It's very clean, and bright, well-lighted, and the elevators worked."
