"I am living in Brookdale Florence and am fine with it. The staff is very qualified and conscientious. The apartments are beautiful, well maintained, and spacious. It is a friendly place, and you will feel at home. There are activities. "

"My relative suffers from Alzheimer's Disease and is in the secured unit at Wynwood called Covered Bridge. There is a nice, supervised, outdoor sitting area where residents can go outside to sit under a pretty awning or walk around a bit. It is the perfect way for the residents to be outside without the worry of them wandering away. There is even an area where they can go outside and assist with gardening. The caregivers are very kind and compassionate and the residents get a lot of attention. There are always activities and the Alzheimers patients even go on outings and attend many activities with other residents. If they are not doing planned activities, the residents can sit together, watch tv, chat with the staff, walk around, etc. The activities people are wonderful. My relative's room is always dusted and neat and the dining and sitting rooms all look clean as well. The food is good. The building inside could use a bit of paint but it still makes a nice impression. The fact that our friend or relative has this awful disease is sad, but Wynwood allows them to live independently and most appear content. Most residents have private rooms, some choose semi-private rooms. No place is perfect, but from my experience I would not hesitate to place someone here. "

"I liked that The Terraces at Lawrence is close to me because I'm the one who would be visiting my sister there. We spoke to some people and they were very friendly, and helpful, and went out of their way to try to accommodate my interest and question. Linda gave me the tour and she was great. The rooms were fine and the dining area was attractive. I especially liked the chapel that was there. I didn't see many people, but it seemed pleasantly friendly. They have games and outings to go places and movies."

"Very friendly staff, and the place is very clean! Although we don't need services at this time, this facility will be our choice for dad when the time comes in the near future. "

"My sister feels comfortable at Clare House. They have studios and one-bedroom apartments. The staff is very accommodating. If she needs something, they’re able to give the service. They have a library, an all-purpose room, and a section for memory problems. "

"I toured here for my father, and it was a nice facility. I went through everything and talked to different people, and they even introduced me to some of the people that were there. I like the place. They have a salon. They also have a courtyard for the people to go to. It was completely enclosed, which was good so nobody can kind of walk off or anything. They have food there, but I wasn't there during lunchtime. They were done with dinner when I got there. I didn't get there until after 5:00. They waited for me because I went to the wrong place first. But everybody was pleasant and very helpful. They answered any questions I had. Everything was freshly painted and looked good. It's got trees and it looks like a house almost."

"It is close to where we live and it would only take me about five minutes to get there from home thus the main reason why I chose this facility for my husband. The place is clean and everybody seemed to enjoy working there. His room is always clean and if he needs anything they were always there to clean it up. The staff cleans his room a couple times per day. The staff are very nice and are always there if he needed anything. They were always running in and seeing if everything was alright. If he pushes his button, they were there within a couple of minutes. They didn't let him wait. I love the food. It was very good. They had activities like sing along. They also had special people come in and do games with them and sing. They are really accommodating and my husband is well taken care of."

"I visited Oakwood Residence. My problem with that one was that I had macular degeneration, and they had an awful lot of wood paneling; that was not good for my eyes. The person who toured me around was the one in-charge of Oakwood, and he was very informative. They served us lunch. I had tour of the room, and the hallways had paneling. When I walked in, it was dark, and with my eyesight, I need more light. However, the people were wonderful. They were friendly. The food was good. They did everything they could to make us feel welcome. "

"Wesley was very elegant and very clean. It was a very nice place. They offered you two-bedroom units. The girl who toured us was very informative and had a very good manner. There was a chapel. Each apartment had its own washing facility with washer & dryer. There was a library and exercise area. They also did trips. Patients who were there could go on trips once a day. They offered transportation for the area like to the grocery, market, and drug stores. It was a very large community. It was located in an ideal area. If you went in and paid your initial entrance fee, you had a monthly charge. Assisted care was very expensive. "

"I went with my family to meet my freinds parents. They have been living here since the last 10 Months. Its been a long time that i met them. But when i sa them they seems to be more happier than at home. They really feel like home at this place. This place is really awesome. From the breathtaking lakeside dining room, to the piano lounge, and beautiful living room areas this place has all the amenities.Everyone live like a family here taking care of each other. The professional and well trained staff really take care of your loved ones. "

"I visited the independent living community of Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack Park. The person who gave the tour was very polite and answered my questions. The room I saw was not bad for a 1-bedroom apartment. The hardest adjustment would be living in an apartment rather than living in a house. There was nothing wrong with the apartment itself. The dining area looked nice. In my case, I don't have to go there if I don't want to because I'm going to have a kitchen in my apartment. But since they said I will be given 3 meals a day, I might as well take that and go there in the morning, lunch, and dinner. The parking seemed alright, and there was plenty of parking."

"My sister is at Deer Meadows Retirement Community and we’re happy with that. They’re taking good care of her and we’re very pleased. Her room is clean, the place is clean, and they do have activities (like bingo)."

"My father and I recently visited this setting for my mother as we are planning ahead a bit. Mother has early onset and is starting to slowly decline cognitively. The set up was nice size, it was shared that the setting is usually full with a waitlist and a deposited was suggested. The admission director was pleasant and followed up after our visit, invited us in for a meal and program. Everything was clean, smelled good and the people looked well cared for. Hoping to keep my mother home as long as we can, but this is top on our list for consideration."
