The Best Assisted Living Communities in Camden County, NJ

"CareOne at Evesham Assisted Living was very good and probably the one I liked the best. They pretty much covered everything. David sat down with me for a while, explained everything, asked me about my mom, and had a good, long talk. He showed me the nice facilities and introduced me to a lot of the staff members and residents, which was great. Everything was very nice. The outdoor areas and dining area were very good. They had a center hall or an atrium for activities and games. There's really nothing negative I could say about them at all."

"My father in law has been living there for 2 years, the people who work there are very kind and compassionate to make sure he is comfortable. I see it more as a family among the patients and staff! I hope they never change! Highly recommended! "

"My brother in law is doing very well in Spring Oak. The place is very good and he likes it. He has got a couple of friends and he is getting acclimated. He's been there since June. "

"We lived at Riverview Estates and liked them. However, it was too small. We had a very nice room, but I needed more room. The food was a little better, and they had more activities. The staff was really good."

"The apartments are spacious, the food is great, many choices and once a month we do a chefs tasting. Lots of things to do if you want to stay active fitness classes. We have French and Japanese classes, outside trips, onsite doctors. Any level of care if you need it"

"Atria Center City looks like it would be a nice place to live. I like the theater, the library, and everything. The staff seems nice and they also have activities to do. It's located right downtown. There are all the museums and everything that's down there."

"We were very happy with All American at Washington Township. They were wonderful. The staff was amazing. We got to meet some of the residents, and they were very happy. It's a beautiful place, and I love that they have a rehab in there. We were very satisfied with it, and I'm going to check one more out just to clear that in my head and in my heart to make sure, but basically that's where we're going with. They've got semi-rooms, and one of my mother-in-law's siblings who is 91 said that it could be a good thing for her being in a semi-room. The location is great for us. The staff has been nothing but wonderful. Our first time with it, we did a virtual tour actually with Stephanie, then we contacted them a couple of weeks later and said we wanted to come in now if it was able, and we were able to come in with the COVID being lifted a little bit."

"This is a very good senior care facility located in Sewell, N.J. The Cardinal Village Senior Living Community offers independent and assisted living services and provides various one- and two-bedroom apartments and studios. The center additionally provides personal care services, such as social interaction, dining options, assistance with medicine, daily transportation and crafts, music and games. It also has various amenities, including park lounge, chapel, parking, and patio and gazebo. "

"I visited Terraces at Parke Place. I toured both their memory care and assisted living facilities. I thought it was nice. Their assisted living was much nicer than memory care, but I understand that they have to keep a tight rein on them. It was a nice facility. The staff was nice. The one woman who helped me, I think her name's Aisha, she's very knowledgeable about the facility, and she volunteered a lot of information. She answered questions that I probably would not have remembered or known to ask; she was good. When I went there, they were getting some stuff ready, like games and different stuff. I didn't see them actually playing, but there were women in the game room. They have painting, word find, and different stuff like that."

"Juniper Village is a beautiful place. It has a gym and has everything we need. The only thing I did not like about it was that there was no parking. My husband is in a wheelchair, and I had to park in like a strip mall that's in front of their building and push him to the building because there is no parking at all. It's very tight on the parking, and that's the only downside. They had all the amenities we needed. Their meals are like a restaurant. You can pick off a menu. It's like a big dining room. It's like going to a diner, and you order from a menu, and somebody comes to you. It's not a bunch of squares with two choices. We were there later in the afternoon. I think they're open from 11:00 to 2:00 for lunch, and I think they open again from 4:00 to 7:00 for dinner. They said that I could eat there with him, say if I wanted to come for lunch, which would be added to our bill at the end of the month. For him, it included three meals a day and snacks, but if he had guests come in they could still eat and sit at the table, order, and it would just be added to our bill. So, that's convenient. It is three stories high. It was very clean. All the staff that we passed in the hallways were very friendly."

"My mom was at juniper for 4 years and was well taken care of by friendly professional staff. When she passed she was supplied with hospice and did not suffer. The faculty is nice and clean and the patients take part in a lot of fun activities. Highly recommended "

"I went to The Philadelphia Protestant Home. I was there to visit them about a possible respite stay for my mother during the holidays. It was a lovely facility, what I saw. But because my mother needs a memory care unit, and they did not have respite stay for memory care. It was a lovely facility, what I saw, but I did not visit the memory care. I was able to tour the independent living and assisted living. I would give the staff a 4 because I had to do a lot of follow-up with her. Like she would tell me this would happen, she was going to set up an appointment with the director of nursing, so that's why I gave her 4 because she was good, she showed me around, but as far as follow through, I think the follow through could have been better. I did not try the food, but I did see the different restaurants and the dining halls. They were excellent. I would feel comfortable putting my mother there if they had the services that she needed. The people I saw were engaged. They were high functioning. Most of the people that I saw were independent."

"We toured Traditions of Cross Keys. We like the setup. The rooms were spacious. We never got to go into the kitchen area, but it looked nice from the doorway. People were friendly. They had a kitchenette area but there was no furniture in the rooms. The person who took me around was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a lot in common with her, so we chatted with her for quite some time. Everything was clean, too. They have a garden center in the middle with chairs and stuff for them to sit outside."

"We placed my parents at Deer Meadows and are very pleased with it. It seems like a good place. The grounds are OK but not picturesque because it is right on the Boulevard; however, the people who live there seem to be happy. There are lots of aides and staff members available. The place is very clean and very nice. The bedrooms are too small and there are very few closets. However, there is a large kitchen area, a living area, and one-and-a-half bathrooms, which is nice. The price is good for what they're offering."
