"Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack Park had a very nice room layout. They were roomy and we kind of liked where the kitchen was in relation to the rest of it. It seemed to be very good. The two people that showed us around gave us a very nice tour. They spent a lot of time with us. It was very clean and nicely decorated."

"Sunrise of Abington is very nice and the staff is very attentive. They were very good, very concerned, they have loads for the residents to do, they took me around and showed me everything. They only have studio apartments, they have small ones and you can also get bigger ones, and they were nice. They have a list of activities on the board out in the hallway and it had loads of things to do. They have amenities like a beauty shop. It's a really good community. The staff I met was very nice. They had a breakfast bar. We were early there for the tour, and we walked around the lobby to the dining room and they had things out and you could have one. The food isn't what they cooked at the time. The way the place was laid out was very nice. It had a nice grand staircase going up in the middle when you walk in and it was very pretty."

"We went to Pinnacle at Plymouth Meeting. We looked there at the two-bedroom, two-bath. It was very nice. The place was set up like a main street town, which was really very nice. You walk in one area and it looks like they have a general store, a bistro, a theater, and private dining room for families. They have a game room on the Main Street. It was very cleverly decorated. They have a salon and spa, they have yoga and exercises, and they have lecture rooms where they have different topics brought in. The two-bedroom has a full kitchen. The staff was very pleasant and professional."

"We toured Woodbury Mews. Jerry was very courteous. We had lunch there. The food was excellent. The food was outstanding if that was something that you were looking for. The facilities were a little bit older, but everything had been upgraded in the unit. One thing that we didn't like was that they didn't have any balconies, verandas or patios, so that was negative for us. The units were smaller, with no kitchen, just a kitchenette. But they had a theatre, a huge craft area, and a very active activities program. The staff we met were all very friendly and accommodating."

"My mom moved into Tylers Mill Senior Living. I like it because it's more of a smaller type of facility with a lot of continued interaction with the other residents. The care and services have been great. The staff members were friendly. They have planned activities to keep them involved and engaged."

"I visited the independent living community of Marlton Gardens Gracious Retirement Living, and they were great. They're brand new, well-done, the rooms are large, the laundry facility is close by, and the elevators are on two or three sides of the building. I like the activities, and the people were very nice. Overall, it's very nice, with lots of outdoor spaces to sit and relax in. You could park at the nearest entrance to your building, near where your room is, which I thought was nice. They're also very clean. The staff members were very nice, very warm, welcoming, and informative. They're very good. They offered me a cake to take home. I didn't take part in it, but they also offered me lunch and welcomed me back on Sunday to a brunch they're having."

"Brookdale looked like a nice facility, everything looked nice, but the contact person, I didn’t get some phone calls returned, and poor communications I would give that, but the rest was fine. The dining hall was nice, parking was easy, and everything else seemed good. The rooms were good, but you bring your own furniture."

"The staff seems nice and pleasant, and I feel that it is the right location and right facility for my uncle. We've tried the food and it was great! My uncle's room is fine and he's happy when he moved in. "

"I went to look at Juniper Village at Bucks County. The bedroom was very generous. The kitchen was like a wall, and a wall, and then a partial wall that looks into the living room. So when you're in there, it's like you're in a hallway. I didn't care for that too much. I didn't like the kitchen. It's not open. It was in a wooded area. The staff seemed very nice. She had answers to your questions. She was a very positive person. She wasn't trying to persuade you, and just gave you the information that you needed. She was very helpful. I know they have a place to exercise. Everything was clean. The painting looked like it was fresh. There didn't seem anything that needed fixing. Everything seemed to be in good shape."

"Twining Village had apartments and cottage style living. They have covered walkways between the different areas, so there is no travelling outside if you didn't want to. They also had their activities and they even have a pool. Everyone we met was very nice. "

"My mother is living in the Legacy Gardens of Bristol. She seemed to like it. They have doctors on staff, so she doesn't have to leave the facility to go see a doctor. They need to upgrade their activities for the seniors. Everybody is very friendly. Besides watching TV in the common area, they do have social activities for the seniors. They have a salon and a lady that comes around who does their nails and stuff like that. My mother gets a veteran's benefit, so that will help her out quite a bit."

"Oxford Enhanced Senior Living was great. The place was lovely. Really lovely, with lots of amenities. It was very nice to visit. They have a chef that prepares your dinner. You can also get lunch at your own expense and they serve a breakfast buffet. They provide housekeeping every other week. The dining room was beautiful. They had a cooking demonstration while I was there. So, they had lots of amenities. Eric was wonderful. He was great. He answered all my questions and showed me the apartment, which was beautiful. I just couldn't afford it."

"My mother stayed at St. Mary Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare for a little while. They were wonderful and very accommodating. She was there for two weeks for subacute rehab. They had lovely, accommodating staff. I have nothing negative to say about them. She wasn't happy with the whole thing though. She was in a single room by herself and it was OK. COVID is going on, but they did the best they could under the circumstances. If somebody had an outbreak, they cut down people to visit. She was in a subacute rehab, so it was like a hospital room. She had her own private room and it was up by the nurses' station because she's a fall risk, so it was noisy, but she needed that. It was an OK place. It wasn't a 5-star hotel, but for what it was, it was good. It was a Catholic facility, so they had a beautiful chapel. It was really good for pastoral care, which I thought she would like because she's very religious. That was a wonderful thing. They had mass, and they had access to religious counseling to help you get through whatever you're getting through. That was a nice asset. The staff was wonderful. I looked at other places and I picked this one because they have a chapel that was beautiful and their pastoral care. Other facilities were more modern and had more activities, but she's 90, so we picked this because of the religious piece of it, and it was wonderful for what we were looking for. It was great."
