"I had a pretty good tour at Holland Village. It had a nice atmosphere; it was not sterile. The people were very friendly. It was very clean and nice. I liked it. The staff that I met was good. They had various clubs. They had a gym and a swimming pool."

"Foulk Living in Wilmington was decorated very nicely. The staff was very helpful and informative during my visit. I toured their independent living community. I can't remember how many days of the week, but they have chef's meals. Those are prepared for independent living, and I think, for assisted living as well. They have activities, and they have a shuttle that takes people to appointments, if necessary. They're very well appointed. They have puzzles, card playing, and book reading. I think they also have Wii Bowling. They have a lot of activities for the clients who live there. The facility's condition and maintenance are excellent."

"The people at St. Mary Center For Rehabilitation & Healthcare were wonderful, very helpful, very knowledgeable, very professional, very amiable, personable, and very concerned that I learned what I would need to know to see if my father would be comfortable. The rooms were wonderful. Each room has its own mailbox. The studio was not too small. I thought it was the perfect size for my dad. They have a nice bathroom, nice storage, and you get your own door out into the courtyard. There's a couch there, and it's gorgeous. Their campus is like 22 acres, and they have various courtyards and barbecue areas, things that come alive a little more in the late spring and summer. They have their own little cement patios in each unit, so they can sit out and watch the birds, get some fresh air, and see what the neighbors are up to. It was just an upbeat place. They got a salon. It just seems like you wouldn't have to go anywhere if you were there. It's a very neat dining setup where it looks like a diner. I would love to go there every day. They have three squares and snacks, but they have a setup where they have like napkins, ketchup and mustard, and salt and pepper. It's very user-friendly."

"We are staying in Lions Gate. We're in their independent living facility. There is also an assisted living facility here. It is a continuing care facility. The environment, accommodation, and the services of the staff are wonderful. My husband and I are very happy here. "

"I moved to Cadbury at Cherry Hill. They're very supportive in terms of supplying your needs and concerns. I like the affordability, and the apartment itself is very warm and welcoming. The staff is very good in terms of assisting with anything that I need, and they're 24/7. The maintenance is very good. It's an older building."

"My in-laws are in Wiley Christian. My mother-in-law is in skilled nursing and my father-in-law is in assisted living. The staff is very compassionate. It has a church right there on the grounds, and it's all under one roof so they don't have to go outside. They offer activities in and outside of the facility, and take them shopping and to doctors' visits. They have physical therapy on-site, a doctor who comes in once a week, social workers, and nursing available for the assisted living. The assisted living and skilled nursing have dining rooms, but people could also eat in their rooms. My in-laws are both in private rooms. There are studio apartments in independent living. My in-laws say the food is very good."

"We (my mother, my sister, and I) had been familiar with the Evergreens for many years. It was just down the road from Mom’s house, and we passed it virtually any time we were headed to Moorestown. And my mom had always said that when the time came for her to move, that was where she was going. Still, I don’t think she had had any official contact, although she had visited a friend in assisted living many times. When her husband passed, we wanted to find a place quickly as she was uncomfortable living alone. The Evergreens (technically The Acts at the Evergreens) was able to provide multiple tours on short notice, and when the decision was made to apply for residence, the staff were helpful and informative about the process. We were able to go from touring the grounds to residency in about 2 months. I have been nothing but impressed with everything about the place. The staff are friendly, helpful, and compassionate. The residents have all been welcoming and encouraging to a newcomer learning the ropes. The food is good. The facility and its amenities are excellent. I could not be happier that my mom lives here. It has eased my anxieties of her living alone. I am certain she is in good hands. And I really enjoy visiting!"

"My brother is at The Watermark at Logan Square right now. He went from rehab to assisted living there, and we're happy with it. There's not much I don't like about it. With Covid, they're extremely diligent about keeping things clean. They're handling his meds and doctors' visits really well. He falls a lot and he needed more coverage than they were able to give, which is a reasonable request. We hired somebody for him during the day. They visit him at night, but they're really extremely supportive. He fell three times in one day because he would get out of bed, and he would not remember to press the help button on his wrist. They serve his lunch, and they would leave. He would get up without letting them know, so I place absolutely no responsibility on them not being there. I think it's a great place. He likes the food. He feels very comfortable there, and they don't rush him either. They're introducing him into the population, as he wants to be introduced. The marketing department was excellent. When my brother fell three times in one day, the nurse on the fifth floor researched what my brother's condition was to see what other possible symptoms or conditions may occur. When I met with her Monday, she knew everything about the disease. It's a progressive supranuclear palsy, and she took the time to research it, to figure out what would be best for him. She called me and said his condition and he could fall any time, so we just have somebody there during the day, and it's worked out perfectly fine since. They take care of him, and they're always friendly to me. For instance, just today a speech therapist who is independent from The Watermark was with my brother. She wanted to start speech therapy with him. She told my brother that he needed to get a prescription from the doctor at The Watermark. My brother called me and told me, and I called the head nurse on the fifth floor. The nurse got absolutely upset and said that's not my brother's job, and she's going to address the speech therapist for not doing her job. All the speech therapist had to do is go down to the doctor's office and say my brother is his new patient, and he needs a prescription to start his speech therapy. The head nurse said, "Don't worry about it, I'll take care of her right now," (and I'm sure she did). They're good. My brother said, "I feel very pampered." It's clean and organized. They have a monthly calendar outside the elevator, and there are two or three things going on every day. I just don't know how good they are."

"I liked Allegria at the Fountains. They are renovating. It's spacious enough. I love the idea of having the trees and the scenery. It would be to my advantage to get involved with everything. It would be better for me to be in a facility that has rehab facilities, so when I replace my hip, I would have the services right there. I wouldn't have to go anywhere. The staff was very, very helpful. We did try their lunch, and we saw their area for dinner. We had hamburger sandwiches and they were very good. They offer exercise and other amenities. They have sewing, art, and different activities. They're very, very friendly. We walked in and we were taken care of. There's a church across the street from them."

"Medford Leas is a nice place and very lovely. They have everything there you could possibly want. They have 168 acres, and it’s a beautiful place. The rooms were large, airy, very accommodating, and attached to everything. You can just about walk to all of the amenities they have there. It was very nice, and we liked it. They have plenty of activities, and the amenities were more than appropriate and very nice. Regardless of what happens to you in life, you don't have to move again. "

"My mother is having physical therapy at Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack Park. They have long-term care, personal care, and physical therapy unit. They have people who just retired, and they have apartments there, too. I was pleased with it. Everything is clean. They're really thorough. They clean a lot and you can tell. It's two people in a room, but it's divided by a wall, so it gives her own little nook and it's cozy. They have a lot of activities. We're pleased and she's pleased. They have people performing, exercise class, Catholic mass, and a hair salon. She likes the way that they're helping her. She has to have her food pureed, and they've bent over backwards to figure all it out for her. She said the food is delicious."

"I visited Simpson House and toured for assisted living. I feel that it could work out for me. It was clean, and I liked the setup. The dining room setup and the menu were good. It's also close to my church. The person who welcomed me was the head of the nursing department. They offer the usual amenities. They also showed me the physical therapy room, the game room, a room for people to get together, and the cafeteria with the menu for each meal. Everything looked and smelled good. There was no urine smell. If you go to a nursing home and you don't smell urine, then that's generally a good one."

"I didn't have to put out a whole lot of money when I first came in here at Phoebe Wyncote. They care about people and helping people. My room is very neat. They come and clean it, make up my bed, and do my laundry. They do all of that. The staff is very nice, very friendly, and very accommodating. They have bingo, church service, reading rooms, games, and exercises. They have a lot of activities."
