"I had an in-person tour of Traditions of Lansdale. I love the place. It was beautiful. It didn't smell. It was a very nice place, but I couldn't afford it. The staff members were very friendly. They all greeted me when I took the tour. The facility is very spacious and very clean. They had outside places where you could go and a beauty salon. I don't remember all the amenities, but there were quite a few."

"Sunrise of Abington was very nice, that place was beautiful. The residents can cook their own food there but they also have a dining room where they can prepare the meals if the residents want to. They have medical on-site, I think that's where the price goes up, because it has all that. It's one of the best ones that I saw though. It has the assisted living and independent. It's very good, you'll be satisfied. They also have apartments where they have a full stove and a big refrigerator. Most of the other assisted living places only have microwaves. The staff was very nice and very professional. The place was very clean and smelled very fresh."

"Its been about a month since we moved my mother into the Stapeley facility of Wesley Enhanced Living and my siblings and I are a very pleased. Mom's declining memory and other cognitive skills required a transition to a facility with expertise in memory care issues. The move from personal care at another Wesley residence to the Bridges unit at Stapeley was seamless. Patrick and his team helped my mom stay calm and eased her anxiety about moving to a new home. My mom has been much more active and is benefitting from a more structured daily routine. She even loves the food! Mom's journey continues in a safe and caring environment."

"I visited Paradise Manor. They were very accommodating and very knowledgeable. The place was clean. It seemed to have everything there that was needed, and it's close to where I live. I believe it's like $1,500 a month. I didn't see many activities. I basically just saw the amenities. It's more of a studio-type environment."

"Wesley is elegant and very clean. The lobby area is sunny and bright, it invites you to come and sit for a while. The fireplace is a cozy addition. Wesley Upper Moreland is a very nice place. The staff are friendly and attentive. They offered one and two-bedroom units. Each apartment has its own washer & dryer tucked away and out of site, and a nice size full kitchen. There is a library and exercise area. Transportation is offered daily to the grocery store, hairdressers and drug stores. It is a very friendly community that is in an ideal area. There is a nice selection of activities for the residents. "

"The staff were very nice at Quadrangle. They have a selection of different styles; they have one-bedroom, they have one-bedroom plus den, and they have two bedrooms. "

"The Philadelphia Protestant Home was amazing. I guess the facility was amazing. The person who gave me the tour was very professional, very uplifting. The facility top to bottom, is just amazing from the residents giving input in saying hello as I'm walking in. Just the activities, overall it is exactly what I would feel comfortable with my mother being in their hands. I think it was friendly, with huge activities, and libraries, and I feel like that is one of the best facilities. As of right now, that is my number one choice. I got into the mid-level and the suite, a very nice-sized room. There are electronics which come with it and a refrigerator that also comes with it, the bathrooms are very accessible, very safe, and a nice, spacious size for one to live and be comfortable. It's like having an efficiency apartment. This place has a recreational room. It has a fitness room. I got to see the library as well as where they do the arts and crafts. They have a salon there. I got to meet the lady who does the residents. Overall, I would say, from just having an interaction with everybody, it was a very positive atmosphere, and I would recommend it."

"We toured Arbour Square of Harleysville. It's a very nice community, and I'm still considering it. The people seemed very nice, and the facilities were nice. I was looking for independent living. They have an indoor swimming pool, they have exercises there, and an exercise room. The sales person was excellent and very helpful."

"Brittany Manor didn't provide respite care services. Going in there, it was more for people who are mentally challenged. Before I went in, there was a resident already asking me for money while I was sitting in my car, and then when I went in, there was another resident who was asking me for money, and food, and whatever I had in my hand. The person who walked me around was a five. My experience trying to confirm that I had a tour was a one or a zero. I called to confirm, and no one seemed to be able to confirm with me that they were aware that I was coming. They said they would get back to me, and no one ever got back to me, so I just wound up showing up, and the person who gave me the tour was very friendly. However, she wasn't necessarily prepared to provide a tour. The place was very disheveled. Whoever owned the place before, that signage was still up there. The facility smelled as soon as I got in the door. The staff pretty much mentioned this is for people who have mental disabilities. The room I saw wasn't dirty. It's just that everything looked old. Everything didn't look like it was maintained properly. That's not a place I would recommend for anybody. It didn't seem like the patients were even well taken care of. The people that I talked to on the phone were not professional in my book, and telling me that you're going to get back to me, and then you still don't get back, that was very concerning."

"My mother-in-law is in Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack Park. Once I spoke to the people in charge there, I had a really good feeling. They took me on a tour and we knew immediately that this would be a good place and a positive place for my mother-in-law. And we have not been disappointed. Every person that we have come in contact with during the rehab part, everything has been positive. And other members of my family that have gone to visit my mother-in-law have had nothing but positive things to say about every person that they've come in contact with. Whether it's a nurse, an aide, someone in the office receptionist, or anybody that we've come in contact with, it's been a positive experience. I would highly recommend the place. We haven't tried the food but all of the food looks outstanding. The facility is very well maintained both outside and inside. The grounds outside are beautiful, and the rooms and the hallways inside are wonderful. There are activities every single day that we've been there. There's either someone there singing, there's entertainment, or a bingo game. There are always people involved like staff members or outsiders that they brought in for activities. We trust the place and we feel very positive about everything, we're just so happy."

"The physical plant is well maintained. The decor is rich and elegant. The nursing staff and administration are well trained and caring. The residents are treated with respect. The facility doesn't have the institutional feel that many others have. The place really felt like your own home. They are equipped to provide a wide range of care based on the needs of the individual resident. "

"Wesley Enhanced Living Doylestown is a fantastic experience. My in-laws are very happy there. The people are very nice, professional, and were able to work with us very quickly. I have nothing but good things to say about the place. The head of nursing gave us a very nice tour on a Sunday, whereas at other places they wouldn't even talk to us until Monday, and we needed to move very quickly. One of the residents said that it's like living on a cruise ship but on land, which is a really nice compliment. I like the atmosphere and that it doesn't smell or stink. The apartments and studios are laid out really well. My in-laws love the food."

"I toured Fountain View at Logan Square. The community was beautiful. My brother loved it. We loved the atmosphere, the restaurants, the library, the entrance, and how well they treated us when we came there. Even the guy that gave us the tour guide was wonderful. The nurse who came and did his assessment was very pleasant and very kind. However, we were not able to afford it. I thought that we would be able to get the room because I was going to financially help him. However, the money had to be in his account, so he was denied because he didn't have enough income coming in. The staff was wonderful with the tour, but when he set us up for the medical doctor, he gave the impression that my brother could get the studio because it was cheaper, and then by the time we came back, he told me the studio was $4,600. The upkeep was very nice, except they were still under construction, so it was a little messy. However, the rooms I saw that were already ready were very nice."
