"I toured. I like its location. It wasn't huge. It was very community-like inside. A lot of people go around doing a lot of different kinds of things. One of the cool things here was they have a movie theater, and besides a dining room, they have a cafe kind of place. If a friend came to visit and it was the middle of the afternoon, you could go in there and grab something to eat even though it wasn't lunchtime. I didn't interact with anybody except the different ones that I passed in the hall, but everybody stopped to say hello as you walked by and that kind of thing. The people at the front desk were nice. The person who took me around was nice. It was very cheery, cozy, and bright."

"I moved into Friends Home in Kennett, and it's been a very positive experience. It's not real modern, and the building I'm in was built in the early 1800s. Kenneth Square is a lovely small town, and everybody is so nice and welcoming. I'm very pleased. I have a beautiful apartment. It's a lovely place, not inexpensive, but affordable. The move-in fee is very low. I recommend it highly. They provide three meals, and the food is quite good and quite healthy. The dining room is like a restaurant, which is lovely, and it has nice tablecloths. They're gradually changing most of the flooring in most of the places. They have independent living, assisted living, a nursing home, and hospice care. They bend over backward to take care of everybody. They're still replacing the carpeting in the walkway up to where my apartment is, and they've just redone the kitchen. They're upgrading it gradually. Most of the activities are geared toward the assisted care, but they have excursions. The staff is great."

"Great community! The staff here at Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line has been wonderful to us, especially when me and my husband first moved here and I had health problems. They got me the doctors appointments I needed, and even went with me to one of my appointments. I cannot thank everyone in the wellness office enough! We picked this community because of all the extra activities and are extremely pleased with everything. I am especially happy to have been able to start up a beginners Canasta group. "

"Manatawny Manor was a good, clean place, and the people seemed to be respectful and nice. The food and the staff were good. In the independent living, you can have a shared room or an independent room. It had everything you need, and it was well maintained. It was located close to a hospital and to the malls."

"My Grandfather lives in the Quadrangle. I typically visit him once a week and spend about 2-3 hours there, so I have a good feel for the place. The rooms are average size and very comparable to a college dorm room. There are personal bathrooms in each room, which is certainly a plus. All furniture is ours so nothing is provided by the Quadrangle. The campus is large and houses several different units. The on my grandfather is in, as a dining room, community tv room, and a library. The dining room is nice with round tables that fit 10 people per table. The food in my opinion is not the greatest, but it may be because alot of the food is watered down or made softer for the older population residing there. The library is small but is suitable. The staff that I have seen have always been very nice and polite. They are very attentive and seem very sincere about helping older folks. Overall I am very impressed and happy with the care and quality of the Quadrangle. "

"I liked Forwood Manor because I'd have my own kitchen and it was lovely. They had a craft room, a greenhouse, a gym, a very large living room, little nooks on each floor that had books and puzzles, a library, and a room if your family wanted to come and eat. It was three floors, and the rooms were very big. It was like your own home. The staff was nice. I was able to go outside and walk around."

"The visiting experience with Ivy Gables was wonderful and the person who showed me around was great. The place looked fine, but their residents were more non-mobile, so it just wasn't quite a good fit. They just need to improve on communication because I gave them all the patient's information, but I never heard from them again."

"Chestnut Ridge was pretty good and clean. The people were very attentive and very nice. The staff who toured us was very pleasant. The food was excellent. The dining area was well lit, and they take care of you. They play ball word games, and the piano, and have sing-alongs."

"I was very pleased with Keystone Villa at Douglassville. I was happy with it. It was great. I liked it overall. Everything was nice. The staff during the tour was great, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They offered food, but we did not have lunch there. The menu was very impressive. They were all having lunch, so I did not get to see them interact, but the activity calendar was nice. I was very happy with the whole layout. The rooms were very bright and clean."

"I went to the Pinnacle at Plymouth Meeting. We went in to look at the rooms, they were very nice, and the two people that I met were very good, pleasant, and informative. The rooms were gorgeous. What I saw led to people feeling as if they were in their own home, which is hard to do when you're building a facility. The architecture and structure was very nice, it was spotless, the art that they used to color, it was like modern art, and I knew that my cousins would like it if they chose to go there. The corridors were wide, each floor had a different color, so it provided a difference, so that people weren't seeing the same thing all the time. If they would go from one floor to the other, there would be a variety. There was an opportunity for music, for socializing, as people get used to being there they would go on little groups and feel comfortable about visiting different areas. But with COVID, they can't do that right now."

"Ingleside Retirement Apartments was very nice and clean. Many residents were friendly towards me and my dad. The overall service was good. The staff who gave us the tour was very, very respectful, very calm, and very warm. I've been staying in contact with her. She's been trying to help me get what I need to get my dad in there. It was very accommodating. We didn't have any food yet, but the dining area was beautiful. We met the chef, and he gave us a menu of what they cook there, and my dad was like, "I like it." There were so many things they were doing. They were playing cards, and they were doing some kind of crafts with yarn."

"Brittany Manor didn't provide respite care services. Going in there, it was more for people who are mentally challenged. Before I went in, there was a resident already asking me for money while I was sitting in my car, and then when I went in, there was another resident who was asking me for money, and food, and whatever I had in my hand. The person who walked me around was a five. My experience trying to confirm that I had a tour was a one or a zero. I called to confirm, and no one seemed to be able to confirm with me that they were aware that I was coming. They said they would get back to me, and no one ever got back to me, so I just wound up showing up, and the person who gave me the tour was very friendly. However, she wasn't necessarily prepared to provide a tour. The place was very disheveled. Whoever owned the place before, that signage was still up there. The facility smelled as soon as I got in the door. The staff pretty much mentioned this is for people who have mental disabilities. The room I saw wasn't dirty. It's just that everything looked old. Everything didn't look like it was maintained properly. That's not a place I would recommend for anybody. It didn't seem like the patients were even well taken care of. The people that I talked to on the phone were not professional in my book, and telling me that you're going to get back to me, and then you still don't get back, that was very concerning."

"Dad moved to Atria Lafayette Hill. He is there for memory care. We chose it for him because of the price range for the level of care he needs. He just moved in there, but from my visit, it's a newer building and it's a much larger space for Dad to move about. I saw the community TV room, the actual meals that they prepare, and the space that's available to the residents. The person who did the tour was very informative and assured me that Atria Lafayette Hill, if a place to select, would be a good direction to go. It looks fairly clean. The other staff was pretty much busy tending to residents and their responsibilities there. So, they seemed to be engaged with the activities that they were doing at the time that I made my walk-through. From the itinerary and schedule, it appears that there are plenty of activities that are available to the community to get involved. They have the best rate value for the level of care they are providing."
