My brother is in St. Mary Villa. The admissions people went out of their way to meet with us. It was over a weekend which I know they're usually not there, but they went out of their way to meet us. We toured the whole facility including the memory center which was what we were most interested in because my brother had Alzheimer's. The facility looked well organized and very clean. We liked the location. When my brother first moved in, we tasted the lunch menu and it was very good. They showed us the room that they usually have, all the activities as well as the common area for everybody. They had a room like a kitchen set up for families that wanted to have a large get-together with their loved ones at that facility. They have a lot of property, and they had quite a number of pavilions and areas outside for the residents to enjoy.

St. Mary Center For Rehabilitation & Healthcare was clean, but it was very dated. A lot of people are in the hallways. It was kind of dark. I didn't see the staff. They weren't visible. The rooms were nice and clean, but kind of small. Upkeep was good.

I toured St. Mary Center For Rehabilitation & Healthcare for Independent & Retirement Living. I like the fact that there's a Catholic church. There's a chapel there so she can go to mass every morning. There were so many things I liked about it. She has a private room, her own bathroom, and a patio outside. The residents that are there all look clean and happy. There's no odor when you walk in. The food isn't bad and my mother likes vegetables. The room is gigantic, it's nice. Everybody is likable. All the employees are extremely friendly. I have no problem with the employees. I have no problem with the place.

While my mom was at St Mary's, there was never enough help. My mom had her needs met while she was at St Mary's but her room was hardly ever cleaned. Now that my mom has passed away, I have been fighting St Mary's for a refund which is only a couple hundred dollars. They ignore all of my calls. I don't think this is the way to conduct business. This was money out of my own pocket and I it should be returned to me.

We're leaning towards St. Mary's Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare. The decision for St. Mary's is that my mother's funding is going to last the longest there. The people that took us around were very friendly. I liked that they had activities for all the seniors to do. The apartments were a little outdated, but they're very roomy, and I like that they supply the furniture.

My mother is going to move into St. Mary Center For Rehabilitation & Healthcare. I like the price. You can get the room furnished or unfurnished. They can provide it for you, or you can furnish it yourself. The one-bedroom was pretty spacious. There's a walk-in bathroom. We're trying to keep my mother on the first floor, so we had to wait a little bit. But the place was nice. It was not luxurious by no such imagination, but it was doable. The people were friendly. The director was very good and informative. It's close to family, which is why we picked it. They provide three meals a day, too. There's a courtyard and a meditation outside that is good for Catholic services.

The St. Mary Center For Rehabilitation & Healthcare facility itself was nice when you walk in. But the rooms felt very dated and depressing, they need help. They have patios, but the patios have steps that I didn't think as safe. Their bathrooms were huge, which was nice. It looked like a motel room so I don't like it. The person that I toured with was ok. The place was dated and needs some updating. I like the layout but I didn't like it for my dad.

My mother and I went to St. Mary Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare in Lansdale yesterday. We liked it very much, so we're going to enroll there. It was a very nice place. They have a special dementia section and she's going to move into that part, but the whole place was very nice and very clean. They didn't seem to have a lot of staff. It seems like there's a shortage because of COVID. Patients were walking around and they seemed to be engaged, but not active because the people we saw were dementia patients. The indoors are kind of like a circle and the rooms were arranged that way. They couldn't get lost as long as they were in that memory section, which was the Camilla area. They had an outdoor section for them, a very nice dining room, and they had aquariums to look at. There was a book room in the regular section for the residents who had other issues or maybe were just retired. They have a very nice library there. One man had his toy train set up in one of the lounge areas, so that was nice. They let him continue with his hobby and one can bring possessions from home if they're not too large. The rooms were a nice size. They were a little bit bigger than most hospital rooms. Mom will have an armoire, two dresser drawers, and a table for her television. She'll have an in-room telephone, which is extra. The setup is very nice and they were able to get her in right away so that was great, too. They're having a special right now. The $3500 a month is a special rate and that's for any of their units. We walked through the regular part, too. Everything's on one floor, so it is spread out. It's a big campus, but everything is on one floor, which to me is more of a safety thing, especially with old people, of which I am one, because they said a lot of the people there are in their mid-70s. I looked at it as a place for myself in the future and I would go there. I would live there definitely. The staff during the tour was very good. The nurse who spoke with us, Rebecca, I'd give her a 5 also. The paperwork is not overly onerous. They just want to make sure that we understand the limitations of COVID. They don't know what to expect. They don't know what's going to happen next and we have to be willing to accept the risk of what could happen, including food shortages. They even mentioned that in the paperwork and that's honesty because we don't know what's going to happen. They have outdoor spaces even for dementia patients. There's a small area where they can sit outside and it's fenced in with a nice fence. It's not like a prison fence. For the other people, there are plenty of outdoor areas for them to sit.

My mother stayed at St. Mary Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare for a little while. They were wonderful and very accommodating. She was there for two weeks for subacute rehab. They had lovely, accommodating staff. I have nothing negative to say about them. She wasn't happy with the whole thing though. She was in a single room by herself and it was OK. COVID is going on, but they did the best they could under the circumstances. If somebody had an outbreak, they cut down people to visit. She was in a subacute rehab, so it was like a hospital room. She had her own private room and it was up by the nurses' station because she's a fall risk, so it was noisy, but she needed that. It was an OK place. It wasn't a 5-star hotel, but for what it was, it was good. It was a Catholic facility, so they had a beautiful chapel. It was really good for pastoral care, which I thought she would like because she's very religious. That was a wonderful thing. They had mass, and they had access to religious counseling to help you get through whatever you're getting through. That was a nice asset. The staff was wonderful. I looked at other places and I picked this one because they have a chapel that was beautiful and their pastoral care. Other facilities were more modern and had more activities, but she's 90, so we picked this because of the religious piece of it, and it was wonderful for what we were looking for. It was great.

St. Mary Center For Rehabilitation & Healthcare seems to be well enough staffed. What I didn't like about the place was it wasn't very clean and the shower. They don't have individual showers in the rooms, and I didn't like that much. I was surprised that the place was not clean as it was, it was not clean. The staff that I dealt with was very thoughtful, she was excellent. It seems that they have a lot of activities going on and so forth, and they go to nice areas outside the city. They also have a salon and a barbershop, and they have exercise classes. The rooms are small and fairly dated. It's located really near the Lansdale Abington Hospital.

My mother-in-law moved into St. Mary Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare. She's in memory care and it's been wonderful. It's clean, the food is good, it's friendly, they offer plenty of activities, and the grounds are beautiful. The staff is amazing, everybody says hi to you, and they take such good care of the residents. I could just go on and on, we're very, very happy there. I didn't think she would be, but she's also very, very happy. She just had a birthday and she's at the very beginning stages of Alzheimer's, but she's very, very happy there. Maybe some things could be updated a little, but I'm sure that's not really important. They look a little dated but who cares. Her room is beautiful. She's got a four-poster, twin-sized bed. She's got a flat-screen TV and a nice little chair where she can sit and read. It's a comfy chair. She's got a big closet and a beautiful bathroom. One thing they have in the bathroom that's really cool is you can pull down a little seat to sit on and put it back up. I wish I had one of them in my bathroom. She's got a great big picture window, and if she wants to go outside, she can go outside and walk outside. They have all different lawn chairs and a little tiny patio. She could get a little tiny lawn set if she wants a chair and a table, it's just beautiful. The grounds are beautiful. Ashley, who is the administrator of memory care, her office is kind of like in the middle of the gardens, so she can watch the patients at all times. My mom's not a wanderer because she's like 99 percent blind, but she does love her walks. She does love sitting outside in the sun. When I called on her birthday, I called her all morning, and there was no answer. The lady said, "Can you call back in an hour? She's got activities." So I called back in an hour and they said, "Oh, she was just sunning herself outside on the park bench." They have things on the wall that you can see when you walk up and down the hallways. It's the menus and the activities they have. If you don't like what's being served, they have another selection down the bottom of the menu; they have four different sandwiches you can select from. I saw her one day having tacos, rice, sour cream, and salsa. She likes a hot cup of tea every night for dinner so they bring a hot cup of tea to her. She said it's very good. They've been wonderful through the whole process. The staff is incredible. My husband had to go there one time at 10:00 at night to get mom to take her to the hospital, and the lady staff stayed right there with her and made sure that everything was taken care of. They're all very kind, and very nice, and very, very patient. I would start to lose my patience when she would ask me something for the 20th time, which is normal, but it doesn't faze them. When you walk in, it's beautiful, and everything's very clean and pristine. The maintenance man is super nice. When they told him that they needed her telephone and her television hooked up, he did it in five minutes. He also took the time to show her how to do the television. They have so many activities and they're very engaging. Not only are the activities engaging the brain, but it's also something that the residents will enjoy doing. It's kind of hard to find an activity that's between something not too hard, but not too childish.

The people at St. Mary Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare were very nice, but I wouldn't send my dog over there. It was horrible. It was old and rundown. I couldn't get out of there, it was dingy, the furniture was old, the floors were dirty, and the entryway. I think they should tear it down and try it again, because it's too antiquated. This is from the 1940s. They should start over, but I know that they can't afford to do that. The staff that gave the tour were nice, they explained everything, and we had a nice chat. The people were great, but they were the best part about the facilities. The girl who took me around was new, and had just gotten her job. Anyone who's new, they don't quite have the experience to give really great answers, but she talked to some other people to get my answers to my questions. She showed me a room that my husband could go in, which was semi-private. I went in and thought it was horrible. The paint was dingy and the curtains were yucky. I couldn't believe they were open for business.

I visited St. Mary Center. The few staff that I saw were great and they were interacting with the residents. The lady I talked to knew the people by names which is nice, when she talked to them and went by. Even though she's not hands on, she still made the effort to know them by name, which I think was very nice. She gave me a quick tour of an interior room. It was empty, but it was neat, well-placed, nothing looks bad, looked better than my room, my bedroom. Everything looked very clean well-kept. They had a barbershop I believe, a cafeteria, and they did have an outdoor sitting area. People could go out and sit out there, it was all secure. They couldn't just get up and wander off into the road, or anything like that. And they did have a lot of stuff scheduled, there was a gardening to help out with, and they had different little sectional area. It wasn't just 1 giant rec room. They have 1 large room, but they had a smaller one around. So, they did have multiple things going on. I liked the way it was laid out. It was pretty much like a giant square, they do have people who like to wander, and they can actually just kind of look around the halls, they didn't really have to worry about them getting in trouble, wandering off anywhere because it's pretty much centrally located.

My brother moved into St Mary's Manor. He had been there before for medical treatments, and he went into rehab. They're very caring people/staff; the doctor calls me with updates. I was able to be part of their care meeting management virtually, so that was good. The staff is very good. His friend said the food is fine, but my brother cannot eat food right now; he has a feeding tube. They seem to have a caring staff, competent doctors, and they do have different levels of care, so that's helpful.

My 97 year old mother needed care in the last few months of her life and I toured the lovely facility and grounds with the Admissions Director, Bernhard. The almost 100 year old church is at the center of the complex and it is awe-inspiring. The facility really seemed to have a sense of community, and the staff greeted the residents by name [with a smile] as they passed in the halls. It turned out that St. Mary's was located too far from our family members, so we had to use a facility closer to our homes. I know my mom would have felt very much at home at St. Marys. After we decided that we needed to house her closer to home, the Admissions Director called and contacted me several more times to give me additional information regarding other alternatives for her. He was extremely helpful and informative,

I toured St. Mary Center. It was very dated, and it needed some work. The room that they had available, for my taste, wasn't something that I would put Mom in. The young lady who took me on tour was very sweet, but everything was very dated.

St. Mary Manor (St. Mary Center) is close to where I live, which makes it convenient to visit, and it's also close to my mom's doctor. The price is good, and everybody seems very friendly and helpful there.

Food is horrible and repetitive. Mostly fish daily. Everything is cold. Aides are slow in responding. Not caring. Loud buzzers from doors go off constantly. Patients wonder into other patient rooms. Not a safe feeling for my parent who lives there.

Where to begin, Saint Mary Manor fell apart after the archdiocese of Philadelphia sold this to a for-profit organization. My close family member had a private room that we had to fight to get cleaned. The food was substandard , The evening staff and weekend staff was nonexistent, all of the good nurses left for other facilities. The temporary help was just that temporary. The facility was always short staffed. It was it was difficult to communicate with facility administration because phone calls and emails were rarely returned. I urge you to look for another facility.

Please do NOT leave your loved one here! St. Marys used to have a great reputation but it has gone downhill in the last few years. Patients are mistreated, ignored and borderline abused. They mismanage medications, forgetting to order refills and allowing patients to miss one or sometimes TWO doses of essential medications. Residents have been sent to the ER with bedsores, because they aren't cared for properly. Nurses are understaffed and under-supported. The few good ones are quitting and the temporary nurses are awful. Administration is over taxed and rude, doesn't care about families concerns. Honestly, RUN away from this place.

We moved my mom to Saint Mary Manor. We choose it because it is closer to us, there seems to be some activities, and it is a Catholic community. People seem very nice, very friendly, and very helpful. She is in a shared room. The food has been good. They have mass every day, bingo, Pinochle, exercise class every day, and movies. They do take them out of the home once every couple of weeks to dinner or on a trip to Walmart or something like that.

St Mary Manor has three levels of care. The archdiocese sold it and due to the large turnover, the state of the place really declined over the course of a month. My mother-in-law was at their nursing home before she passed away and she loved it there. She loved the staff. We never saw the day shift, but she loved them. When we were there at night, we weren't too happy with the night shift staff. It was a clean place. They had happy hour, Bingo, and there were crafts, too. She loved the salon too; I know she was involved with that. We met with the new people from New York who just bought the facility and we were all happy when they said they would hire new staff and get rid of lazy employees. They're changing over there, so I think they're going to be good. I think it's going to go uphill.

St. Mary Manor was a lovely assisted living home, complete with an on-site chapel, a very important feature to my church-going grandmother. The facility was divided into two wings--the Alzheimer's ward and the more independent rooms where residents did not need as much care or supervision. St. Mary's provided wonderful amenities such as a library, computer room, laundry room, and a hair salon. The food served in the cafeteria left my grandmother raving about it and the staff were all very nice and very competent at their jobs, always taking care to check on the residents, hand out their medication, and generally be a positive source of happiness in the resident's life.

A wonderful facility for a true feeling of being at home and part of a family, Saint Mary's offers residents all of that and much more. This is a charming, nicely kept, and beautifully mancured lansdcape for residents to enjoy. Saint Mary's is Catholic based, offers many type of care ranging from independant, going through assisted, skilled, and also memory care. In my experiences with this community, there is true care for the person, their dignity, their health, and well being. The staff always appears above average in all ways.Being faith based, there is a beautiful chapel in which daily masses are held. For those unable to physically take advantage, the mass will be available to them by a closed ciruit tv. In speaking with residents who feel their faith is an important element to their well being, I recognize how valuable the pastoral offerings are...including rosary, and religious services. The care given to all elements of the residents is quite impressive. I have personally seen the comfort a prient brings by simply walking into a room of a resident if only to chat with them. Saint Mary's, especially for someone comforted by their faith, would be a wonderful living choice. I would highly recommend this warm, professional community.
