"Sunrise of Abington was fine, and the staff was fine. It appeared as though when we found out that we didn’t have the income to support my mom for the service in moving in that they were not as interested and being helpful to me. The rooms were of nice size and clean, and the food was good. The dining room has a round table with 7 people per table I want to say; it was an ordinary dining area. They must follow up even after they find out what the person’s income is to see if they can be helpful in any other way or take a look at some options maybe to help providing the income or to be able to point them somewhere else that they can get some services. There are a lot of ways that they can still provide help if the person doesn’t have income at that time. "

The almost 100 year old church is at the center of the complex and it is awe-inspiring. The facility really seemed to have a sense of community, and the staff greeted the residents by name [with a smile] as they passed in the halls. It turned out that St. Mary's was located too far from our family members, so we had to use a facility closer to our homes. I know my mom would have felt very much at home at St. Marys. After we decided that we needed to house her closer to home, the Admissions Director called and contacted me several more times to give me additional information regarding other alternatives for her. "Hudson Estates Gracious Retirement Living was nice. I got literature and stuff. They only have like one- and two-bedroom. They said that once they get it cleaned up, that place will go. All of the amenities and all of the offerings that they have sound and look great. We got to speak to one of the people that lived there, and they said it was a wonderful place to be. I think it would be good for my father to be amongst the people with all the activities that they offer. It was a couple who assisted me and they were very great in answering questions and asking me if I had additional questions, which I didn't at the time. They gave me a nice packet to take and they also offered, since my dad did not go with me, us to come back and have lunch with them so we could taste the food because she swears by their meal plan. They did give me a giveaway, and it had a mug and a muffin. They had a garden and a wonderful dining room. They had several laundry facilities on each floor. They have a fitness center, a movie theater, and games places. They have a conference room type thing that they offer to the people that live there. They can have up to ten people have dinner in there and they serve you."

"I visited Paradise Manor. They were very accommodating and very knowledgeable. The place was clean. It seemed to have everything there that was needed, and it's close to where I live. I believe it's like $1,500 a month. I didn't see many activities. I basically just saw the amenities. It's more of a studio-type environment."

"Echo Lake was the only one who took my stepmother. I went through some tours with the other places, but then at the last minute they just turned us down. She has a certain condition and Echo Lake had no problems taking her. They treat her like any other resident and the place is just absolutely beautiful. They are very attentive to all her needs because she has extra needs and the food's good. Just a very positive atmosphere and she's thriving there. It's a studio that we picked for her. They supply a bed, an end table, a lamp, a comfy chair, a pretty big bathroom with a shower that she can just wheel her wheelchair into, a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator, microwave, counter space, and upper and lower cabinets. The staff is extremely friendly. They are willing to do anything and they are not rushed. Like they're not trying to hurry you up to go do something else. They genuinely care about the individual and you can see it in everything they do. They seem very educated in what they're doing as well. She has three meals a day, but if she wanted to eat six times, she could. They've got a ton of activities throughout the day every day, including weekends. They do exercises twice a day, they play games, they do readings, puzzle time, bingo, and they have this big calendar in the assisted living and independent living, but you can go to either area. It doesn't matter if you're assisted living or not."

"Chestnut Ridge was pretty good and clean. The people were very attentive and very nice. The staff who toured us was very pleasant. The food was excellent. The dining area was well lit, and they take care of you. They play ball word games, and the piano, and have sing-alongs."

"I went to Juniper Village at Bucks County and I was greeted properly. They've got very nice people. The place was clean. They showed us several apartments, several of the crafts that they were doing, the restaurant, and the menu. Everything was great. They have studios, one bedrooms, and two bedrooms. The staff during the tour was very nice. They have a church on the premises. The buy-in was cheap. We tried to set up several luncheons, but we weren't able to do that."

"My father-in-law is in respite care at Arbour Square at West Chester. The place just has an appeal to it with the amenities, like the movie theater, the restaurant, and the diner that has 50s or 60s style. It is near an airport and he likes the plane coming in and stuff like that. He is getting his medication handled. He is independent with everything else; he does not get help with showers and anything like that. They are really great and very friendly. The staff are very attentive to him and just kind of go out of their way to check in on him. He is loving the food, but activities are a little tough with this whole COVID thing, but he is starting to be able to stay in some more stuff. It is a cute little venue. There is a lot for them to do and the airport is right there so they can go up to the top of the floor and see the airplanes take on and off if they like that."

"Attleboro Village is a very nice community. The parking is a little bit tight, but other than that, it's very nice. I did view the independent living; I liked it very much. I also saw the assisted living and the nursing care. I had a very good overall impression of the place. I also had a very good impression of the staff. The apartments and the dining area were very nice. The amenities are very nice too. They have a library for them. However, I didn't observe any activities other than a group of women playing Scrabble."
