"St. Mary's Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare was clean. The doors were locked and monitored. If the patient needs an ankle monitor, they give you one. The building is older, but it doesn't smell. The beds they had there were more hospital beds. It's well-lit and well-painted. The staff is very friendly. They had a good public area where they engaged with the patients playing games. It was well-run and well-staffed."

"My sister moved up to Phoebe Richland Community. It was very welcoming. They gave her all the physical therapy she could handle, which was great. She had physical therapy almost every day and occupational therapy almost every day when she got there. She still gets it quite frequently. The staff is very nice. She enjoys the other residents there. She says she has a wonderful time getting to know them and they're very caring also. I was there one Saturday when the director himself was helping someone move into their memory care area. He was moving the clothing and stuff in himself on a Saturday. They're just delightful. There's an exercise class of some kind every morning, wheelchair volleyball, chair, or tai-chi. There's at least one activity every morning and one or two activities every afternoon. Every day I call or when I talk to my sister, she'll say, "Oh yes, we had an exercise this morning." It's a smaller place, so they can't offer the diversity of activities that a larger facility might offer. The assisted living has a beautiful lounge area when you walk in. The dining room is lovely. You couldn't ask for anything better. I get no complaints from my sister except there's no salt, but she can bring some herself. That's for health reasons. I saw two small library reading areas, a game room, a big lounge, and a dining room. She's in a temporary room right now because there were no rooms available, so it's a little small but very nice and furnished. It has a dresser, a wardrobe, a chair, a bed, a little kitchenette, and a beautiful bathroom that's handicapped accessible. It is less expensive than others for definitely something better. Their staff is especially caring. This place is much more consistent with their staffing, which means the staff gets to know their people better."

"Accomodating with the move-in and responsive with repairs. Many activities keep my loved one engaged and vital mentally, socially and physically. Very courteous and respectful dining staff. 2015 physical improvements contribute to outdoors enjoyment. "

"As I walked in here, I went past two machine-operated glass doors indicating to me close attention to security. Interior also felt very homely and colorful. I can definately see myself retiring to such a place. "

"My father is at The Hill at Whitemarsh. It's a very nice facility and very clean. They have security at the front gate, which is very good. Everybody is very nice to him, and they treat him very well. He's really happy, and he's doing very well since being admitted there. The staff are very nice, very professional, and very compassionate. They take really good care of him. The food is excellent. They have an excellent menu for them to choose from. They have lobster bisque. He's very happy. Everybody was very nice to me and very polite to everybody. It's definitely worth it."

"Experience was really good at Cathedral Village. I felt the place and overall staff were excellent. The dining facility was the best I have ever seen, and I have eaten there. They have arts and crafts and a wonderful library. The rooms and apartments were very nice, but they are older and their ceilings are low. I would also like to see their marketing staff be more honest instead of just trying to sell. "

"I am a weekly volunteer at the nursing home facility for retired Sisters of St Joseph who are infirmed and, in some cases have alzheimers. The facility also has lay people who need constant care or, in some cases, are recuperating from surgery. The facility has 24/7 nursing care with physical therapy on-site and water aerobics. The nearest hospital is 10 minutes away. There are 7 floors to the facility. It is clean, bright and cheerful with many solariums to rest and relax as well as grounds for those who are able to walk around with the help of staff or volunteers. The staff are very caring of all patients, but those who suffer from alzheimers need specific care and the nursing staff is always kind an patient to them. It is a wonderful facility and gives tremendous care to all the patients there. "

"I admitted my Aunt at Fairview Care Center on 11/01/2011 and she is still a resident. Her nurses were absolutely a blessing to me and she gets wonderful care. They keep you abreast of every little/big concerns they may have. If you have a special event that your family member can attend, they will provide you with an escort. There is no set time limit to visit your family member. I have gone to visit my Aunt in the very wee hours of the morning. The staff is friendly, caring and I couldn't be happier. Everyone calls my Aunt a social butterfly because she's all over the complaint. She tells me she don't like it there but she knows every nurse or other staff members by their names, if they're married,have children, etc. and I can see they really enjoy my aunt. Fairview is clean, it doesn't smell bad, the staff from maintenance to the Director is on hand and available to speak with you about any concerns that you have. I really like where my Aunt is residing. "

"Wyndmoor Hills Premier Subacute Care is a nice place. I dealt with the director or social worker and she's very professional. The facility is nice, because of COVID I can't really go anywhere but it's clean. The lobby is nice and clean."

"I looked at Waverly Heights. It was very clean and very attractive. They have nice apartments that you can enter without going through a lobby, which was nice. They have fine activities and a number of separate dining places, which were fine too. The facility was well run. "

"My mother-in-law (MIL) was sent home after her first stay at Harston when her Medicare eligibility expired. She still seemed very weak and not well. Harston said she was fine, and ready to go home. Three days later she collapsed at the kitchen table in my house and we assumed she was dead. There was no pulse. I administered CPR which did work and it got her heart going again. We had called 911 and they showed up shortly afterward. After a few days at the hospital she was readmitted to Harston, and my MIL really wanted to go to Harston. It is apparently the closest facility which offers dialysis which my MIL needs.My MIL liked Harston and felt very well treated there. She mostly liked the food, the rehab, and the medical people she interacted with there. We did not like it. It seemed shabby. It catered somehow to a lot of poor elderly people who seemed to be in very bad shape. When they discharged her again the 2nd time we were leery. But she's indeed been in better shape since she came home the second time. "
