Assisted Living Communities in Bryn Mawr, PA

"My sister is at McCallum LLC. It is near our home. The room is fine. My sister likes it too. She has her own bathroom. So far, since she has been there, she has been in the room by herself, but there is a room for one other person. I absolutely recommend this facility. It is a nice community. It is quiet. My sister likes it. "

"My mom moved into Sunrise of Paoli. She loves it. She loves every bit of it. She likes the fact that it's a community and not a hospital, and that it's very clean. She also likes the fact that everyone there is very friendly. She also likes the fact that when she asks for some help, they're very prompt and also very professional. The staff is very professional. The food is excellent. The facility is very clean and very orderly. Everything is very well marked. You don't get lost in the building. You don't get lost outside. They have activities every day. My mom participates in them and she's an instructor in some of the activities. She instructs knitting and crochet. So, she's not only involved as a participant as well as an instructor. They have a veranda that you can sit on and they also have a common area where you can sit as well as the dining area, like a bistro-type area."

"I was very impressed with Pinnacle at Plymouth Meeting. I think the main reason that I did not take my husband there is that it's a good 30-minute ride from where I live. The tour was excellent. The girl who gave me the tour was excellent. I really loved this place. I thought it might have been a little big and overwhelming for him at the beginning, but they really had a lot of good activities. They had a pub room and a game room. I liked it a lot. They had a studio and a one-bedroom. The prices were comparable to those at the other place. They had a library and an outside courtyard. They had one little gift shop when you walked in the door. I thought it was really nice."

"I went to Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley. I went there to see a friend in the assisted living. I have another friend that lives in one of their houses. I didn't see all of the apartments, but one of my friends had a studio and it was very nice. She had in there everything she needed. It was a large room that was sectioned off so that she had part of it a bedroom, a living room, a kitchenette, and her bathroom. I ate a couple of meals there and they were very kind to me. The meal was very good. They had activities for them but my friend wasn't taking part in many of the activities. They have physical therapy there and a gym. If you came to visit and you didn't want to go up the apartment, they had nice places where you could go on the first floor and visit them. They had a couple of sitting rooms there. The staff was very good, but I didn't have much interaction with them. The facility was well kept and clean, but I didn't like the elevators."

"Springfield Senior Living was nice and the staff was friendly. The apartments were spacious. I saw the library, beauty/barbershop, and the staff who toured us was good. Ms. Lewis tried the food, and she said it was good."

"Arbor Terrace had the nicest outdoor facility. They had a very beautiful terrace and garden. Part of it is an older building and part is new, so it had a funny transition in the middle. The décor is really lovely, classic club décor. It is the most visibly populated place that we visited, and most of the residents were out in the common rooms. There were several different activities going on. The staff was great. They were really nice, and many of them had worked there for a long time. The rooms were a little bit smaller than the other places, which was totally fine. It had the most ethnic diversity. "

"Sunrise of Newtown Square was a little different. What I didn't like about it was that the carpet was old. The carpet was worn on their floor, they need to update that. I like how they can get food all day, if they want to go get coffee or something, it's there for them. They have a set of menus to order from. When you walk there, the cushions and the pillows and stuff on a chair were a little different from the one up in another facility. If you want to sit there, you wonder if you get up and if you're going to have something on you. It's better kept but needs to be a little updated. They have an exercise room. I don't remember seeing a pool. The staff was great, everyone I went to was very respectful, very nice, and helpful. They need to replace that carpet. The community is fine. It has more trees around it, you look out you might see a bear."

"I moved into Wesley Enhanced Living in December. I have found the Staff to be excellent.They helped me in all phases of my transition, The Facility has an indoor Heated Pool,, Game Room, Daily Movies, Field Trips an excellent Dinner Menu. I highly recommend this facility "

"My mom is in here since September and it's been great! For my mom's level, it is a perfect place for her. It is not overwhelming not like those huge complexes. The staff is very caring and nice. They know everybody by name and they are very attentive. Her apartment is very nice. She has a living area, a bedroom, a nice size bathroom and she's very comfortable there. It is really cozy and she really likes it a lot. She said the food is good. There is a lot for her to do. She likes doing crafts like making jewelry, she does painting, she plays bingo, bowling and participates in music. Singers like Frank Sinatra come in. She is socializing more and they do a good job in trying to involve the family too. They have brunches for the family to come out and visit. My mom has also been in a couple of dinners where they take them out to dinners. Overall, we are very happy with them."

"We toured Springfield Crossings. The people there were extremely nice. We got to speak to a number of the residents, and they had positive things to say about the community. The facility looked like it was well laid out and would meet the needs of the assisted living that we thought we needed for our father. I did not see any residents doing activities. There was a generally open area and a dining facility. The residents were holding a meeting during the time we were there. The facility was clean and they were in the process of updating the rooms and hallways."

"Our father has been a resident at Rose Tree Place for the last couple of months. We toured several care facilities before making our final decision. We chose Rose Tree Place because of the proximity to family, the cleanliness of the facility, the type of apartment, availability of services, and the incredible staff. From the minute we walked in and was greeted by Lisa and Laura, we knew this was a place that cared about their residents. The staff knows all the residents by name and takes the time to communicate and laugh with them on a daily basis. Terry and the medical staff are great at communicating medical updates. We love that Dad gets treated by the in house doctors. Karen does a great job with activities and the restaurant has very good food and yummy desserts. Rose Tree Place is the best!"

"Lots of exciting renovations and upgrades underway at this independent living community in the center of Philadelphia. We are so close to everything the city has to offer but also have great entertainment and dining options available too. Love living at Fountain View."

"Daylesford Crossing seemed new and clean. The rooms were nice. They had an activity room and a library. The dining area was very nice and looked like a restaurant. I did not have a meal, but they showed us the menu, and there was a lot of variety. The staff was very nice."

"I helped my Aunt Kathy "move in" to this facility and then had later visits here. It was just before Christmas and they were busy putting up great decorations in the foyer. The building was very nice and they had a piano right in the hall. The staff was so great, they were more than helpful offering a cart for her belongings and personally walking us to her room. They stayed and made sure she had everything and even brought extra furniture for my aunt. They were also sure to check with her about any favorite snack she may want to feel more at home. They went out of thier way to make sure she was happy and comfterable. "
