As a personal care home, The Roxborough Home for Women operates 24/7, providing private rooms, meals, laundry services, and light housekeeping for its residents. Our trained, professional staff administers all medications, assists the women with their daily personal needs, and participates in activities the Home provides. Our residents are independent, and our staff is here to assist when needed. (Please note: RHW is not categorized as an assisted living facility or nursing home.) "I toured Sunrise of Lafayette Hill for my father, and it was beautiful. I told them that if it ever happens that I needed a facility, I wouldn't mind staying there myself. It was gorgeous. What happened was that I was going to go to the one in Abington, but they said that the one on Ridge Pike in Lafayette Hills was a little bit cheaper. It was a little bit cheaper, but not that much. They were very nice and very accommodating. It was a clean and nice facility. If we can gather our money together, our finances together, that would be one of our choices. The room was spacious, clean, and nice. When they look out the window, it was pleasant scenery to look at. It looked like a little hotel, except, it was private. If you wanted to be in a room, even if you were in a shared suite, you still had your own room. It was clean, and that was the biggest thing. They had activities for the patients, too. And then I like the fact that they had them on a secure floor because my dad has dementia, so that's important. The patients couldn't just roam around and go up and down the elevators, and that was important for me to know as well. They try to keep their patients engaged in activities and still try to give them privacy and dignity. They have arts and crafts, and games for those that could go out. They could also go out to go to the store and to go shopping if they wanted to. They also had days when the weather gets better, they're going to go out and do some gardening. My dad used to have a garden. They had a place where they could maybe do some planting and things of that sort. The people were personable, and they answered my questions. Overall, I thought it was a good experience. If I can arrange to have my dad there, that would be my number one choice. The layout was fine, and I didn't see anything negative to report about it. It has a homey, warm atmosphere. It wasn't like a hospital-type facility, it was like a home, not a house, but a home. One thing I was looking for is cleanliness and I didn't see anything dirty or smelly because some of those facilities can have that. I had asked about pricing and there weren't any pricing advantages that they could give me. That's the only downside about that. But it's not their fault. They were accommodating, and they answered my questions, the ones that I did have. The way they keep their clients and their patients, were clean. That's important to me, how they care for their patients. They didn't look like they were in distress or dirty or anything like that. I want to make sure that the patients look like they're cared for, not just sitting around a table, drooling and clothes all stained up."

"We toured Springfield Crossings. The people there were extremely nice. We got to speak to a number of the residents, and they had positive things to say about the community. The facility looked like it was well laid out and would meet the needs of the assisted living that we thought we needed for our father. I did not see any residents doing activities. There was a generally open area and a dining facility. The residents were holding a meeting during the time we were there. The facility was clean and they were in the process of updating the rooms and hallways."

"To start with, I rarely write reviews on place, but I have been so happy with Rose Tree Place I think they deserve a comment. I have been in multiple personal care facilities in the area when visiting friends and Rose Tree Place is definitely one of the nicest! The staff were all very kind and seem to really care about the residents. The facility is well maintained and very clean! When I got there the other day, my friend was down in physical & occupational therapy and she said that it has really helped her get stronger. When I get to the point that I need to move into a personal care facility, I will definitely be going to Rose Tree Place! "

"My sister is at McCallum LLC. It is near our home. The room is fine. My sister likes it too. She has her own bathroom. So far, since she has been there, she has been in the room by herself, but there is a room for one other person. I absolutely recommend this facility. It is a nice community. It is quiet. My sister likes it. "

"I am posting this review of Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley, specifically the Bridges Memory Care. The move-in process was very smooth, facilitated on-site by Patrick who also recommended a particularly excellent moving service that helped set up my mom's room to feel and look like her old apartment! So far the level of care I've witnessed in person while visiting, as well as on the phone has been top-notch, and I can tell my mom is enjoying the activities and events. The on-site music events really make my mom happy, and she loves to do the sing-alongs. I've gotten to eat a few meals with her, and the food and the service is great! I rest easy knowing that she's in good hands, and I really appreciate the empathy, compassion, and understanding from everyone I've met from switchboard to caregiver to management."

"My mom is in here since September and it's been great! For my mom's level, it is a perfect place for her. It is not overwhelming not like those huge complexes. The staff is very caring and nice. They know everybody by name and they are very attentive. Her apartment is very nice. She has a living area, a bedroom, a nice size bathroom and she's very comfortable there. It is really cozy and she really likes it a lot. She said the food is good. There is a lot for her to do. She likes doing crafts like making jewelry, she does painting, she plays bingo, bowling and participates in music. Singers like Frank Sinatra come in. She is socializing more and they do a good job in trying to involve the family too. They have brunches for the family to come out and visit. My mom has also been in a couple of dinners where they take them out to dinners. Overall, we are very happy with them."

"I toured Pinnacle at Plymouth Meeting. It's outstanding. I wanted to move there. They were fantastic. The rooms were a little on the smaller side, but the building was brand new. The person who gave the tour was fantastic, and the food looked good."

"We toured Springfield Senior Living. I liked it because it was a small community, and it was very clean. The residents looked happy and satisfied. It's well-staffed. The person at the front desk was very interactive, very personable, and very professional. We did not have to wait. They came right out. The marketing person or admissions person came right out to greet us. Our tour was very good. When we went to the memory care floor, the staff greeted us. They didn't just ignore people coming through, and so that was good. They had a lot of activities for the residents to participate in. They had a pool table. They had an outdoor sitting area that was very well-kept, and very nice. So, I liked it."

"It was a very nice place. They had a doctor who comes a couple of times a week. They had very nice accomodation with a large bedroom and a kitchenette.The food tasted really good. They served three meals a day and snacks. They have games and invited people to do concerts within the facility. The residents also go shopping. I can say that the place is very secured and safe. The residents like being there. The people who worked there were very friendly good. I would recommend this place to others. "

"I toured Fountain View at Logan Square. The community was beautiful. My brother loved it. We loved the atmosphere, the restaurants, the library, the entrance, and how well they treated us when we came there. Even the guy that gave us the tour guide was wonderful. The nurse who came and did his assessment was very pleasant and very kind. However, we were not able to afford it. I thought that we would be able to get the room because I was going to financially help him. However, the money had to be in his account, so he was denied because he didn't have enough income coming in. The staff was wonderful with the tour, but when he set us up for the medical doctor, he gave the impression that my brother could get the studio because it was cheaper, and then by the time we came back, he told me the studio was $4,600. The upkeep was very nice, except they were still under construction, so it was a little messy. However, the rooms I saw that were already ready were very nice."

"Daylesford Crossing seemed new and clean. The rooms were nice. They had an activity room and a library. The dining area was very nice and looked like a restaurant. I did not have a meal, but they showed us the menu, and there was a lot of variety. The staff was very nice."

"I visited Sunrise of Granite Run for my father, but he died during the holidays. The facility is actually very, very nice. The people were personable there. The environment looked clean. I was able to check the rooms, and they seemed great. I was impressed with the schedule of activities that they had for the people there as well. "
