My mother-in-law has moved into Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle. She chooses that one. She said it fits more with what she's looking for. The place looks nice and clean. The staff members were very helpful with all the paperwork and with the moving part of it, so no complaints at all. The atmosphere looks fine. Everybody looks pretty happy.

We toured Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle. The residents seemed happy because I talked to some of them. The staff has longevity, which means they like their job and very friendly. I like their movie room. I like the schedule of activities. My only concern with that place is that there's a distance between, depending on where my mother would get a room, it would be too far to get to the cafeteria, but I'm sure she'll be fine. Their hallways are long. She sometimes has a lot of pain. My only worry would be making sure she got down to the cafeteria because it's like a walk and then an elevator ride, but the cafeteria is lovely, even with the outdoor seating. The staff was great. The facility was good. There just seemed to be a slight odor, but I'm going to guess with diapers and incontinence, and stuff that would happen at any facility, but I felt it was pretty clean.

My mom moved to Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle. I chose Truewood because it wasn't big, it had a more homey atmosphere that she would fit in. It's a nice-sized room with a bathroom, a kitchenette, and a nice big closet. We had lunch with my mom on the first day. It was good. She said it's been good ever since and she's happy with it. The staff are very friendly and they take their time. I'm very pleased. They have bingo and crafts, and they have a movie room.

I toured Truewood by Merrill. When you walk in, everything is so bright and well-lit. When you see the residents, you can see they're very content, and everything is beautiful. The apartments that they showed me were very well laid out and it was very welcoming. The staff was lovely and very personable. She was extremely knowledgeable in giving information about tours. I couldn't say enough good things about the place and the people there. I saw balconies and outdoor spaces. They were well-kept and beautiful.

My father has been at Truewood since the end of January. The food is good and he is very picky. The rooms are so nice with beautiful furniture. The best thing about Truewood is the compassionate and friendly staff. My father has made many friends & enjoys the live entertainment. He loved to dance.

I have a loved one who lives in Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle and we're very happy with the facility. They are very helpful. There's just a turnover of staff. I have tried their food and it is good. The activity director does a lot with them. So, their activities are good. The size of her room is fine. The common spaces are good. They're comforting and homey, but they can improve on their cleaning services.

I had an in-person tour of True Wood by Merrill, Glen Riddle. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were adequate according to whatever your needs were, like size and space. You would have to bring your own appliances. The staff was very knowledgeable, caring, and kind.

I was very impressed with Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle. They're situated on an old horse farm, so there was lots of green space. There was adequate parking. They had their own in-house transportation. I noticed two or three vans there. It was very clean. The staff was very pleasant. There were residents around who were engaging with staff, and they spoke to visitors. There were visitors there that day who were visiting family. My overall impression was really good. I definitely would have put my father there if his situation hadn't deteriorated. Their smallest room was like a studio setup. It had natural light and windows. They have all the way up to a two-bedroom type of apartment. The rooms were designed to be accommodating for handicapped. If the person was in a wheelchair or a walker, there's definitely wide enough space, so they can go back and forth. It definitely was designed to be suitable for people with physical disabilities, like the way the toilet seats are set, and all the rooms and the bathrooms have handicap accessible shower stalls and emergency pulls. There were emergency phones in the hallways. They have a really large accommodating dining room. I did get to try one of their meals and it was good. Their rooms were really nice, and their cost index was affordable. They had a really great kitchen staff. I thought their food was tasty and nutritious.

Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle was nice enough, but the residents just seemed a little out of it. They were making loud noises in the common area, while we waited for the lady to give us the tour. It wasn't as warm and as nice, and it didn't seem like they had as much diversity. Other than that, the facility itself was absolutely beautiful. The upkeep and the grounds were nice. The lady that gave the tour was very nice, too. I didn't have anything negative to say about her. She was very personable. They had activity rooms, a hairdresser, and those kinds of things. It was a clean and modern place.

Fran toured me around Truewood by Merrill Glen Riddle, and she was very helpful. She showed me all the rooms and everything. It was nice because all the rooms were on one floor, and the only reason why you had to leave the floor was when you go to the cafeteria, which was downstairs. Plus, it's a little bit cheaper than other places that I visited. It's actually built on an old horse farm. It's in a quiet location, so I would highly recommend it. They had an activities room on the floor with all the rooms, and they were doing some kind of arts and crafts thing. There was a lady who was showing everybody what to do and it seemed to be pretty good. There was a small physical therapy room there, and they have physical therapists and occupational therapists. They had a large room on the first floor with a fireplace and a big screen TV. They had a movie room with an 85-inch TV and movie seats. They show a movie or two every day, and that's pretty cool.

We toured Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle. It was in a nice secluded location. We met the sales and marketing representative and one of the nurses. We also met the administrator. They were all very pleasant and professional. They showed us a couple of different apartments, and the size was fabulous. Even the small rooms had a great size that would accommodate two people. They were laid out very well, and we thought it was wonderful.

We toured Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle. I liked the marketing director who showed us around. She was very caring, and receptive, and listened well to our needs. She introduced us to the staff. I also liked the other staff because it did appear as though they were very engaged and interactive with the residents. I appreciated the cleanliness of the facility. They had several different bedroom floor plans that could work for us. They seemed sufficiently spacious for our needs. There's one that's really small, but they had four different sizes. They seemed to have a lot of activities both in memory care and assisted living. The only thing that I don't like about this facility is that it's cold and kind of dark. But that's just the way it is. It's also the most cost-effective of the non-Medicaid facilities that I've seen.

Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle was great and looked nice. They pretty much have the same activities like the others. They have a community room with a TV that residents can use. They also have a separate room that you could use if your family was coming to visit. You could have your family come and bring food in there. I thought that was a nice touch.

My mother has moved into Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle. They were very welcoming. The staff we passed by in the hallway would stop us and say "hello" and "welcome here" and they would introduce themselves and give us some information about where things are, which was very nice. The general manager, Lisa, is amazing. She's just so friendly and made my mom feel comfortable being there immediately. I had not had that experience in any other place that Mom has been, and she's been at three other senior living institutions now. This is the first one where the general manager or director of the place introduced themselves to my mother in the most warm and welcoming way. My mother enjoys the food. The dining area is under renovation right now. The dining staff is wonderful, very welcoming, and warm, especially the chef who came out and introduced himself and said, "Just let me know if there's anything that you need." There's a pool room, a beautiful theater, and they have bingo every day or every other day. There's a calendar of events and daily activities that she can take part in. The patios are very nice. It's a lovely place to look at. My mother loved it. I had already made arrangements for her to move in before she saw it, and when she got there she was delighted with her rooms, the windows, and the space. It's a lovely place. We've had so many different experiences, but hands down so far, I can say Truewood is the best.

I like Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle. It was clean. The director was phenomenal. She knew every resident by their first name. She knew personal questions to ask them. I was really impressed with the director. The rooms were adequate sizes. They were clean (at least the ones that I saw). The whole place was really nicely kept. I was mostly impressed that everybody was nice, and they've been there a long time. They have their own employees, rather than an agency. They had a library area, an art activity room, and a room for physical therapy. As for activities, they had a bingo type thing. When we were in the memory care, they had word retrieval activities. They were doing a crossword puzzle as a group to stimulate their memory and their language, which I thought was nice. They were able to do gardening and things like that, too. Everything was great.

The lady who toured us around Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle was nice. She didn't go too quickly. She asked about our situation and told us everything she knew. Although there were a few things that she just didn't know yet (which I thought was kind of odd), I appreciate the fact that she didn't make something up. For an older facility, I thought it was pretty up to date, and it seemed to have good activities. The setting was very peaceful and tranquil. There were a lot of trees, and it's kind of tucked away, which I liked. The size of the rooms was OK, but the bathrooms were large, nice, clean, and up to date.

Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle was a very nice and clean place. We were happy with the staff and the dining room and everything was organized. They had bingo, crafts, and a movie room where they had what they called 'armchair traveling'. They put a program/show on the screen every week in the movie room. They also do outings and happy hours. It seemed like they did a lot of stuff. We had lunch there and the food was fine. Everybody was friendly and they answered our questions. It was a positive experience and I was pleasantly surprised with their assisted living facility.

We did a tour of Truewood by Merrill; I can't even think of anything that I like least about it. I thought the staff was really nice. The people that were living there seemed to be friendly. The director that took us around, Doug, he was fantastic. He listened to everything that my sister had to say; he answered all of her questions, and sometimes answered a couple of times. He took a lot of time. We had our appointment from 11:00 to 12:00, but he didn't finish with us until 1:40; that's how much time he spent with us. I think that was great. He never looked at his watch like, "Oh, I got to hurry up." He was just very accommodating for her, to make her understand everything and to show her different apartments in the place. He was great for that, and the tour was very complete. I don't think he could have showed us or told us any more than he did. He really gave us a complete picture of it. We really just went and looked at the dining area, so I didn't really have any experience with food; the dining area looked nice. It's kept very well, and very clean. It was done nice, looked like it was freshly painted, and looked like it was in good shape. I was impressed, I didn't see anything that stood out to me. They have a salon, and they have the room where the people go and play bingo. They have the movie room, a PT room, and the dining area. They had a lot of amenities there, and we could sit out front. They have all these rocking chairs set up for if they want to go out, socialize, sit out front and get some air. I thought that was nice. There's another area where you can sit under umbrellas.

Truewood by Merrill seemed to be very dark and the residents in wheelchairs seemed to be congregated in the hallways, and I didn't like that. I didn't see the open areas too. It's located on the top of the hill and they have driveways which were probably 45-degree angles to get up, and I just couldn't do that, but it was close to me, was rated very well, seemed to be clean and a well-kept place.

I was very pleased with Glen Riddle. The director, Don, was very friendly, very helpful, and very knowledgeable. There were lots of activities, lots of care, and lots of security. I definitely could see my father staying there, unfortunately, it was just a financial issue, but I would highly recommend this place. I was very, very pleased with their location and I was very happy that they had a room sample to look at that was safe from their residents. It was very, very nice. There's a nice variety of choices, from single rooms up. They also have exercises, therapy rooms, common areas for activities, and a lot more. They were all very, very nicely placed, and the area was beautiful.

My mother is staying at The Residence at Glen Riddle. The care has been wonderful. They've kept her healthy and had her vaccinated. They let me know if anything happens -- if she should fall or anything like that. They are taking pretty good care of her. My mom has a type of dementia where she really cannot express herself, but her room seems comfortable. I found a nice mat for her bed, and I heard she's pretty comfortable with it. The menu is pretty good. I ate there a few times, and it was pretty good. She's in memory care, so they are kind of limited in activities. I was just talking to them yesterday about getting her out in the community bus and taking them out somewhere, but they can't do that yet. They have a little outside courtyard where they can let them out and walk around. They have pavilions where they can walk around if they are able to. It's clean every time I'm there. The staff all seemed friendly and helpful. They all seem to take special care of my mom, and they seem to really like her. She gets along well with them for the most part. I can't say anything negative about them, except that my mom's hair could be washed more often, and they said she's funny about that. They have a salon for them to get their hair done, but it's been closed during the pandemic.

The residence at Glen Riddle was all assisted living. There were too many people sitting around and leaning forward in their wheelchairs, and my mother was not ready for that yet. It was very nicely kept, and the man who showed us around was very nice. They have a movie theater, an activity room, and a nice and very clean dining room. If my mother needed more care, I would have considered them.

My mother had PSP. This is a rare brain disease that only very recently is being treated differently than Parkinson's. I say this because the people at Glen Riddle listened to our family's concerns as we navigated this disease through its various forms. They were able to handle the awful challenges that PSP presented. The staff really cared about my mom. The administrative team, the nurses, the kitchen and housekeeping all were instrumental in making sure her needs were met. I imagine working in an assisted living facility is one of the hardest jobs on the planet. The staff at Glen Riddle Residence showed a compassion and connection with my mom that I will forever be grateful for.

The Residence at Glen Riddle is an older place and was in the midst of some refurbishing when we visited. So it's hard to judge, but the building doesn't seem as desirable as the other place we visited. The staff was comparative overall, they usually get good reviews. The rooms were setup differently, and you don't get so much of your own space. They have exercise programs, they take the seniors out to travel once in a while, and there are other similar activities compared to other senior places.

Very unprofessional. Puts the pressure and good face on when trying to make a sale, and then you can't get in touch with anyone. Rude and made a joke when I mentioned one of my loved ones' issues for needing care. It could be the nicest place (it's definitely NOT) but the way they handle business is an instant turn-off. Far nicer places available with a true professional caring staff.

My mother-in-law was there but we took her out. It was not clean and the hallways smelled. The rooms are very small for the amount of money they expect and the care costs keep going up and the amount of help was going down.

I visited for a family friend but I was not very impressed by what I saw. Most of the people who lived there were just sitting sleeping and there was no type of activity going on. I didn't think there was much going on to encourage anything to keep Mrs. C interested. There was a little white dog that barked constantly while I was there. No one really addressed the level of activity or the people slumped over in wheelchairs.

I cannot recommend this place to anyone! I visited looking for my mom and the place looked as dark and gloomy on the outside as it did inside. During my tour, the hallways smelled and I saw a lot of the staff on cell phones. There is also the big hill that someone else talked about in their review and I would worry about getting there in bad weather. The receptionist was nice but there were call bells behind her that seemed to stay on for a very long time.

The staff who gave us the tour at The Residence at Glen Riddle seemed nice and friendly. The facility seemed perfectly fine and clean with a nice lobby. The room that we saw was spacious. Mom has moved into The Residence at Glen Riddle. The staff is very involved with the residents from the director level to anyone below them; they all know the residents. It seems like a family there. The programs offered get the residents involved. You could just walk in, and they would give you a tour; they didn’t seem taken off guard, which show they were confident in their facility.

The Residence was excellent, and I decided after visiting there that this is where I wanted my husband to be. I didn't have to look any further. The rooms were very nice. I have not eaten there, but I have been with my husband while he was eating several times, and the food is OK. He is a big man; he probably could have eaten heavier servings. I have not been present in any activity, but they have a lot of activities. I have no idea whether he participates in any of those, but I think he probably does because he loves music, and they have music and dancing a lot. I am most impressed with the friendliness of the people and the administration; they seem to know every one by their first name, and they say "Hello" to everyone when they are walking through the building.

My mother has already been with The Residence of Glen Riddle for over three months now. The facility is intimate and kind of homey. The place is not large. It's clean and quiet. Their interior furniture is kind of Victorian and I was impressed by it. Their rooms are really nice. My mom's room has a bed with a little kitchenette, a bathroom, a closet. The actual person who runs the place has been there for a number of years and that impressed me a lot. The staff are really conscientious and they are very good to the residents. They keep their clients pretty well active during the day. They have a nursing staff 24/7 and they also have a physical therapy rehab. The staff are keeping eye on the residents. Even in the middle of the night, they look in their rooms and make sure everything is okay. They have bingo and I think they also play cards. They have a television group. They do have live entertainment come in, maybe about three or four times a month. We were able to dine there and the food is pretty good too. It's fresh from what I can see. The cafeteria is well decorated and looks like a restaurant.

My aunt is at The Residence. She's been there over a year and the environment is wonderful. It is spotlessly clean. It is very attractive. The staff was also wonderful. They have a twenty-four-hour nurse on their staff and the administration is very helpful. They also handle the order and administration of medication. As the needs increase, they provide more services. The residents are well groomed and happy. They are serving their meals in restaurant style atmosphere and the food is attractive and tasty. The rooms are relatively small, but kept clean. They do have Alzheimer's unit, but they are in a separate facility and they only come together for entertainment. They have activities and their activity director tries to keep the residents engaged intellectually. They have movie nights. They have live entertainment at least once a week. Judging from my aunt's response, she loves it. She is satisfied and looks really pleased.

This facilty was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and did a great job with there residents. They always wanted there residents to feel at home and feel safe. They had a mini golf course out front and alot of benches so the residents could get some fresh air. These are some of the positives. They did have a downstairs where the residents could only leave with a guest or by a certified nurse so this was a little bit of a negative as it takes away from there freedom. Also the food was not the best.

My family member has been a resident at The Residence for almost 3 years. The administrators, staff, nurses, and medical support staff are incredible! Everyone maintains a positive, upbeat, patient attitude. The employees, including the custodial staff have a great understanding of dementia and the behaviors that accompany dementia. The facility is always clean and orderly and the administrators are very efficient and knowledgeable.

A very pleasant and tranquil facility, with a staff that truly seems to care and is knowledgeable about all the happenings with health and the facility. Upon entering and then touring the facility, the manager seemed to have answers to my many questions. There is a hospice as well as a wellness center which is very very helpful and comforting knowing that I will have some help if ever something were to happen. After reviewing all that they have to offer, I am seriously considering this place as my new place of residence. To anyone who has a family member or themselves are considering assisted living, then check out this place. They seem to be well versed and are able to assist people with different ailments, so look into this place and you may like what you get.
