"We visited Brookdale White Chapel (Formerly Emeritus at White Chapel), and it was very nice. There was a shared apartment, and we didn't care for that. The dining room was very nice also. There's security at the gate, and we sign in as guests. "

"I visited first for volunteer work and I noticed the both the staff and the people living there were all kind and helpful when I had to ask questions. The facility is clean and the personel put their patients in first. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is provided as well as an assortment of activities for the guests such as badminton, water aerobics, swimming class, aerobics, dance classes, movie night, golf, board games and also a large television were the guests can enjoy their free time. This facility is great if you're looking for a place where people care. The second time I went I was looking for information for my grandmother. Although she ended up not living there she loved the facilities. "

"The visiting experience with Ivy Gables was wonderful and the person who showed me around was great. The place looked fine, but their residents were more non-mobile, so it just wasn't quite a good fit. They just need to improve on communication because I gave them all the patient's information, but I never heard from them again."

"We took a tour of Juniper Village at Newark. I didn't get a complete picture of what the memory care looked like because it was quarantined due to a COVID case. The assisted living area, which is probably somewhat similar to memory care, looked pretty good. It looked like there was a lot for the people there to do, and all the areas were pretty comfortable for those staying there. It also looked clean to me. The tour guide answered all of our questions and gave us a good idea of how their facilities work, and how they take care of the people there."

"Harmony at Glasgow had no laundry and no full kitchen inside the apartments. The staff was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. I saw the menu. The facilities were very clean, well-organized, bright, and cheerful."

"We went here. We loved the people. We loved everything available, whether it was the activities that they had or the different rooms that they had. They had a movie theater room and a craft room. They just had a lot of different things there. What we didn't like, it was too spread out for my mom because of her mobility. Everyone I met was definitely engaged, caring, and very involved in what they were doing with the residents. They just had a lot of activities. It was very clean, and it just seemed that the residents were engaged. They had PT and OT on site. They had a craft room, a sewing room, and a game room. They had a pub. It was really cute, it was styled like a fifties diner. So breakfast and lunch were at the fifties diner, and then dinner was off the main dining hall."

"My mother has been placed at Sunrise of Westtown. They're nice, professional, and homelike. It has only been a week, but I'm very impressed. My mother is adjusting well. Her room is a bit small, but it's sufficient for her mobility level. The staff is very personable, and they make themselves available for any assistance. It's community living. She is in the memory care unit, and it's called the Renaissance program. They are implementing more activities as time goes on, and they have group activities. I have yet to experience any meals, but my mother says it's very good. The price is reasonable, too."

"I toured Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle. It was very welcoming, warm, and nice. The people working in this place were very helpful and wonderful. They had a lot of activities."

"Sunrise was five to eight minutes from my house. It was excellent, but out of my price range. I did tour there, and the place was lovely. The head of nursing evaluated my mother, and he was excellent. The place is very clean. "

"Chestnut Ridge was really nice. The staff seemed really nice and attentive there. Their rooms were very spacious, very clean, and very nice."

"Meadowcrest at Middletown was a beautiful facility. There's no question about it. I was just a little surprised that the apartment units were as small as they were. The two bedroom unit was adequate, but you certainly couldn't put a full set of furniture in the living room. The restaurant facilities and activities looked excellent though. The staff were very friendly and seemed well informed. Their food was very good."

"Our family member was a resident in the memory care unit at Rose Tree Place for over a year. We were impressed from our first visit by the friendliness and caring of the staff-starting with a call to Mike, a greeting at the reception desk and a tour of the unit. After he became a resident some changes were made in the nursing staff and things just got better. Lines of communication (so important) were always open. Medications were altered to ensure his safety and well being. The facility was always bright and clean, his room was clean and his person was clean. He loved the food! The support we received when he passed was heartwarming but not surprising as the staff is 100% about their residents. "

"My mother has lived at the Bellingham for over three years. She started in independent living. The residents reached out to each other and provided nice support. I think my mother liked the dining hall and the system they have to encourage residents to make friends and sit together. She especially liked the informal dining area with a gas fireplace. The facility is always clean and the staff is friendly. Eventually my mother needed memory care. The transition was easy and I feel she is very safe and comfortable. I get the impression that the friends and family members of the residents at the Bellingham are very involved. That is the key to a successful senior living experience. "

"Wellington at Hershey's Mill's assisted living area was beautiful, pretty new, and gorgeous. It's state-of-the-art and had all the bells and whistles. The room was nice, large, bright, and sunny. The personal care area was separate from assisted living. It was a smaller area that was dark and gloomy looking and had people in wheelchairs sleeping. They provided a whole list of activities and trips. It was very nice. I'd give the personal care a 3 just because it was kind of dark and small. It's not very expensive. "
